Inspiring People To Care About… Nature By: Abby Rosato

The experience of nature is one of

awe. The earth is meant to be enjoyed by its inhabitants. That includes keeping it in the pristine condition in which it was found. Everyone must help to keep this earth clean for years and years to come!

Inspiring People to Care about Nature Because…

Look outside, see the trees Watch the flowers in the breeze Things won't be like this in a year or two If polluting is all we do Seize the night Seize the day Things won't always be this way Thousands of people are dying In the night you hear children crying Let's stop the war Our people are sore The world can't help itself Who cares about your wealth Help me to help you Show the world what you can do. By Friend -Family Friend Poems

Nothing can be Compared to Nature As a child, I would sit and ponder, at the wooded areas, for their beauty relaxed me. The sway of the branches and whistling of the winds, as if they were calling my name. Then as I grew older, they were my retreat, for the woods became my own world. A world full of imagination, creativity, resourcefulness, as well as inspiration. I loved my domain, for no problems were too great, the woods protected me from everything. The branches would open as to hold me. The animals, in their busy ways, stopped to welcome me. It was this place, my wooded world, that I lived for. It is that place that beckons me now. For it was only there, in them woods, I felt truly free. As free as I would feel when your love would surround me. -Family Friends Poems

Texting, reading, and viewing social media while driving are all too common nowadays with the accessibility of smartphones. This lends itself to rising numbers of accidents from teens to adults. Thankfully, actions are being taken and awareness is being raised to counter the negative consequences of more distracted drivers.

Technology… the knack of so arranging the world that we don’t have to experience it. Despite text, instant messaging, & face-timing, technology has the power to separate society by eliminating face to face conversation. For example, technology has become a built in babysitter for most parents. Not only does this ‘disconnectedness’ pertain to relationships. Technology has become a way for living in the world one wishes for instead of facing real problems and dealing with real situations.

Taking a closer look at “Disconnected” produces another layer involving the cons of technology. TV, along with many other forms of technology, have the tendencies to induce the exact opposite of productivity in daily life. It’s much easier to sit and watch TV instead of helping around the house, exercising, or doing homework.

Reading in poor lighting is difficult for many people, and it is no longer uncommon to see a smartphone being utilized as a flashlight to scan menus in a restaurant. That is only the surface of variety of uses for smartphones and tablets. From translator to movie theatre, there is very little that a smart phone can’t do. The versatility of technology has been able to continue to reduce the annoyances of common problems, but is that a good thing?

Though technology has the power to divide, it can also be used to bring families and friends together. Whether living across the state or across the ocean, texting, emailing, snap-chat, and Instagram, to name a few, are all ways that friends/family can connect immediately.

The advancement of technology has helped with to increase the ability to access information. Searching through books at a library is no longer necessary and Google especially has helped with this. What would we do without the capability of accessing thousands of websites instantly?

Inspiring People To Care About Nature

By: Cole Burkhart

This photograph shows how beautiful things in nature can be, for example the web in the tree makes this photo stand out from the rest because of the interesting lines and textures.

This photograph is unique because of the different colors and shapes on the bush. This picture shows how something simple in nature, like a bush, could be beautiful.

The small things are what make things in nature so amazing, like a web on a tree.

A Bug that is eating on a bench. This is a very cool moment in nature and it amazing to see it.

Nature Why care about nature? Nature should be one of the things we care about the most not the least. Nature gives us the air that we breathe, the water we drink. Nature gives us the necessities that we need to survive. In a sense it gives us life. Without nature we wouldn’t be here, you wouldn’t be reading this. Care about nature because without nature you wouldn’t be alive. Our project was to take photos of a subject to make someone care about the subject. I chose the beach as my subject. By: Eric Rosato

Every time I stand before a beautiful beach, its waves seem to whisper to me: If you choose the simple things and find joy in nature’s simple treasures, life and living need not be so hard. -‐ Psyche Roxas-‐Mendoza

Inspiring people to care about‌ zoo animals

Zoo animals are fascinating to watch. Not only do their actions amaze people, but also their interactions with us. For example, when I was at the Asheboro Zoo, my interpretation of the lions was that they had a unique, courageous outlook. Humans have different interpretations of animal behavior. Animals can appear to be bold, funny, scary, excited, scared, bored, proud or just happy. People start to think of animals as more than just animals. They have feelings too.

Animals have cool adaptions that help them survive and make them successful. -Mrs. Brown

Looking at technology from a different perspective

By Hannah Wolter

Purple is the best, better than every color, it makes me happy and makes me discover that I am so cool and I am so bright, purple is great and lights up my life.

Technology can be viewed in many different ways. I decided to take pictures of technology in a very contemporary and artistic way by putting it in a different environment, and using the colors of nature to bring out the subject. Colors, light, and creativity were the major things running through my mind when taking these pictures. Finding the perfect setting, colors, and lighting were very challenging, but I managed to capture the perfect moments.

The Distractions I don’t want to talk, I don’t want to play Please let me sit inside and watch Netflix all day.

The outdoors is so nice Thank god I’m alone But it wouldn’t be fun if I didn’t have my phone

Did you see this picture on twitter? Did you see this new update? Lets look at all these cool things, Who cares if we are late.

Nature vs. Technology Technology can be stressful, technology can be great Technology can be your friend, or a big distraction on your date Technology is cool, technology is fun It can tell us how many calories we burn while we run Technology does so much for us in our lives Without it, we would not have
