BROWN EARNS WEEKLY CROWN After helping LMU to a 3-1 week last week, junior Cassidy Brown was named West Coast Conference Player of the Week on Monday ... the selection is the first of Brown’s career, and the first for the Lions this season ... Brown batted .412 (7-for-17) with three runs scored, four doubles, five RBI and two walks over LMU’s week that included a midweek victory at CSU Bakersfield and a WCC series win at Pacific ... the native of Hudson, Ohio slugged .647 and reached at a .500 clip ... his week began with a 4-for-5 night that included two doubles, two runs scored and two RBI at Bakersfield ... he then posted a 2-for-4 night with a double and an RBI at Pacific to open a three-game series ... Brown finished the week with his fourth double on Sunday, adding a run scored and another RBI.
