Wilson wasted no time collecting his fourth home run of the year, launching the second pitch of the game out to centerfield ... the leadoff homer was the first since Jonathan Johnson, now an assistant coach with CSUB, connected for a leadoff round-tripper against UC Irvine on February 20, 2010 ... Wilson would add a single in the fifth and sixth before delivering a ground-rule double to plate a pair of runs in the seventh ... he finished the game with three runs scored and three RBI ... sophomore Nick Sogard went 3-for-5 with two runs scored and two RBI ... five Lion hurlers combined to post a shutout, led by sophomore Holden Christian who tossed the first 5.0 frames to record the win ... Christian allowed five hits and four walks, but worked around the free passes while recording three strikeouts ... CJ Fernandezees, Sean Paquet, Mark Finkelnburg and Josh Robins followed with scoreless innings of relief.
