YES! It does matter what you say…

• In an article dated 11/14/18 in the L’Observateur, my opponent stated in reference to not getting more than 50% of the votes in the primary election: “I’m just going to have to work a lot harder, I’ll need a lot more contacts. There are dozens of people who I’ve done favors for in the past who want to work with me. *The Knights of Columbus, Ascension of Our Lord Council who I have donated to for various storm relief initiatives are interested in helping my campaign.”

Unlike my opponent… I don’t owe anyone any favors, and no one owes me any favors in order to win this election. Leaning on religious non-profit organizations for help after performing community service is UNETHICAL AT BEST! Change is needed! • In a recent mailer Mr. Triche touts his extensive past experience in the St. John School System. However, on 11/10/18 the L’observateur reported our school system is currently rated a “C+” average in the state.

As one of the most seasoned veterans on the school board, with 28+ years, Mr. Triches’ mailer failed to outline his future plan to improve our C+ rating to an A rated system. We need much improvement in order to compete with surrounding area schools and on the state-wide level. • Mr. Triche only lists one individual accomplishment to the St. John School System in 28+ years. The Silver and Gold Card Program for honor roll students is an unfunded project whereby local businesses have agreed to reward students for good grades. Mr. Triche states that he hasn’t seen any school board member or challenger dedicated to continuing this program.

Today, I make a 100% commitment to continue to coordinate the Silver and Gold Card program. Our schools have changed significantly in the past 28 years. It’s time to elect leaders that can move us quickly and efficiently into the new era of higher learning for ALL of our children because they are St. John’s future leaders!

Please VOTE #61
