o celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week, L’OBSERVATEUR staffers contacted representatives from all the public and private schools in St. John the Baptist Parish, seeking out those teachers with 20 years or more of experience in education. We asked each why they got into teaching, so our readers could know the dedicated men and women working each day with our most precious resources — our children. A special thank you goes to all the advertisers, schools and teachers who participated in this inaugural effort.
