Tips to Avoid Swarming Termites
HiTech Termite Control

● Repair leaks and avoid excess moisture
● Declutter your house and yard
● Clean your garden of fallen trees, stumps, dead leaves, etc.
● Avoid soil-to-wood contact
● Use treated wood for the construction of sheds and decks.

Drywood termites are the most destructive species of termites. Unlike subterranean termites that need moisture and soil to survive, the drywood termites live in dry and sound wood. This makes drywood termites very hard to spot.
Signs of a Drywood Termite Infestation
● Pellet-like droppings called frass, are usually found on the floor adjoining the infested wood.
● Discarded wings near light fixtures and windows.
● Wood that sounds hollow.
● Blisters on the wood or warping of the wood (advanced stages).
