Tap into the Upper Peninsula

Be they connected along miles of trail, on the shores of mighty Lake Superior, or dotting the streets of bustling college towns, the Upper Peninsula’s brewery count is growing. Every establishment has its own niche and you’re sure to discover something to suit your palette. Options range from fruited sours and dry-hopped IPA’s, award-winning wines, and quality spirits throughout da UP. Fortunately for visitors and yoopers alike, UPBrewTrail.org is a new website to guide you along the way.

At UPBrewTrail.org, all of the region's beverage producers are conveniently located in one place, including information about hours, food, updates and accessibility. The newly developed website also features neighboring recreation opportunities such as trip itineraries, brew trail maps, outdoor activities for every season. They also link you to new releases and information about subscriptions and curbside pickup opportunities.

If that’s not enough to lure you to the UP’s watering holes, you’ll find the paths between them all part of the adventure. Each stretch of the trail has a new place to explore - waterfalls, lakeshore, as well as numerous small businesses rich with history. With over 40 breweries, wineries, and distilleries throughout the UP, what’s the best way to plan your experience? The newly launched UP Brew Trail website is your answer!

The purpose of the U.P. Brew Trail is to promote incredible beverages being crafted in the region. With only 3% of Michigan’s population, the UP is home to an estimated 9% of Michigan's breweries and wineries. Yoopers encourage all to explore the local beverage scene and experience the sense of community these establishments provide. The Brew Trail hopes to empower travelers to dive deeper into the flavors the Upper Peninsula has to offer, one sip at a time.
