The existing 2,740 square-foot facility is undersized and inadequate to smoothly and efficiently manage current and projected patient volumes. Three treatment rooms and three small, curtained bays are

simply not enough to ensure patient privacy and efficient patient flow. Building this new, $5.4 million, leading-edge facility with 10 treatment rooms will provide you and your family with immediate, local health care when care is most needed.
A Legacy of Care Since 1927, the people of Clinton County have turned to Sparrow Clinton Hospital for their healthcare needs. This hospital was founded with the understanding that, in a vital and thriving community, ministering to the health of area residents is as important as seeing to their spiritual, educational and economic wellbeing. Sparrow Clinton Hospital is truly a facility built by the community, for the community. In 1926, the late Skylar Marshall, publisher of the Clinton County Republican News, was instrumental in launching a subscription drive to build the original Clinton Memorial Hospital facility. Nearly 1,600 Clinton County residents c o n t r i b u t e d $ 3 0 , 0 0 0 t o k i c k - o ff t h e construction project.
Continuing community campaign efforts raised the balance, totaling $165,000. But it took more than money to build the county’s first community hospital – it also took countless hours of selfless volunteer labor and donated materials to finish the structure This deeply rooted belief in community support of quality, local health care has driven more than 85 years of service to the people of Clinton County, and it remains the beating heart of Sparrow Clinton Hospital’s mission and vision today. Built on tradition, Sparrow Clinton Hospital has met the needs of this community and laid the foundation for lasting relationships with generations of Clinton County families.
Redefining Exemplary Emergency Care Sparrow Clinton Hospital plans to transform the delivery of health care in Clinton County and strategically position itself for continued growth in the future by building a state-of-the-art Emergency Services Department. The new department will be located on the south side of the hospital in an area presently housing the mobile MRI and secondary parking lot for the Pharmacy/Professional Building. At 9,935 square feet, the new facility is three times the size of the existing emergency department. Design highlights include: Eight private treatment rooms: one of which is a decontamination/isolation room and two of which are specifically designed and equipped to meet the needs of children Two trauma rooms for treatment of life-threatening emergencies A spacious, comfortable Lobby designated expressly for emergency patients A centralized Patient Care Coordination Center nursing station
A triage room An observation room with reclining chairs A family consultation room for private conversations with physicians Separate patient entrance with covered drive-through for dropping off and picking up patients
A private decontamination entrance for health situations involving hazardous materials The design of this facility blends the latest technology with comfortable, efficient use of space to create a calming, soothing s e t t i n g f o r t h e t re a t m e n t o f patients and the reassurance of their families.
A separate, covered ambulance entrance
Right Here, Right Now – We invite you to join us as we continue this legacy of giving and caring for our community, which was established by leading citizens in Clinton County so many years ago.
