MICRO LOCATION OF SITE Church street is one of the busiest streets in central business district, Bangalore, India. It is a 750-metre stretch from brigade road to st. Mark’s road, which runs parallel to m g road. A “Tourist hot spot”, the street is one of the major revenue-generating areas and popular new year’s eve celebration centers in the city. The street is so called as it leads directly to the st. Mark’s cathedral. In 2017, redevelopment work began on Church Street at a cost of ₹9 crore, which made it the first street in the city to be paved from granite cobblestones. The cobblestones were laid in a Kasuti pattern to reflect Karnataka’s cultural heritage. Shortly after completion, there were reports of cobblestones coming apart on certain sections of the road.

BRACKETS: Brackets are provided in the front portico are highly decorated with natural motives here they are used to highlight the richness and they add on the curb look which gives appealing exterior look. The bracket is divided into three parts where uppermost portion is highly decorated with floral motifs and leaf patterns drawn over wood only.
DOORS: The doors are of various categories divided across the residence. The main doors are profusely carved and are framed. The lower frame is di or tri- panelled and is surmounted by an ornamented frame that is fixed using natural glue and huge nails. Ornaments is inspired and ideated from natural sources such as flower, braids etc. The density of the ornamented frame is reduced due to the carving and at present it appears to be made of POP. Hence, leading to false appearance of the material used.
JALI WINDOWS: Jalies are widely used in niches across the residence and have one side view. They allow partial lighting and are excellent coolers.
