Create it... Order cloth from our stocked range to create your own bespoke piece or take the process further and work with us to create your own exclusive tartan or check designs. We have a skilled team of designers who can guide you through the process of developing your own patterns.
Lochcarron of Scotland is based in Selkirk in the heart of the Scottish Borders. We are the world’s leading manufactuer of tartan and have been creating our textiles since 1947. Within our mill, we design, dye, warp and weave our fabrics and accessories. Using our textile heritage, skilled craftsmanship and love of contemporary design we capture and create the enduring spirit of Scotland and tartan in our fabrics and accessories.

The Lochcarron Lambswool blanket is a beautifully soft blanket, ideal for use in the home or garden. Made from 100% lambswool, woven at our mill in Selkirk they combine traditional craftsmanship and quality.

Bracken British Blankets
The Lochcarron Wool Bracken blanket is woven in 100% British wool, sourced and made here in the UK. The wool is spun in a blend of fibres from the Bluefaced Leicester sheep and the Masham sheep. The blankets are woven here at our mill in Selkirk in the heart of the Scottish Borders.

Our heavyweight Selkirk Tweed quality passes the abrasion test for Light Domestic use making it suitable for throw cushions, loose covers and similar. Cloth is available from stock.
All our fabric qualities have been tested to BS EN 14465:2003 Abrasion Resistance and to BS EN 1021-1:2014, BS EN 1021-2:2014 Flammability Resistance.
The CTTWF also complies with the flammability requirements of BS 5867-2:2008 Type B Flame Retardant Standard for contract curtains, and meets the performance requirements for resistance to ignition as detailed in the Medium Hazard (Crib 5) category of Table 1 in Clause 4 of BS 7176: 2007.
