PRESENTATION
The Bisquertt family vineyards is currently one of the most prestigious vineyards in Chile. Colchagua, its place of origin and where all of its plantations are to be found is considered to be one of the best valleys in the world for the production of Premium wines. The quality of its wines are recognized in over 30 countries . All wines are Estate Bottled and produced by The Bisquertt family from the Colchagua Valley.
HISTORY
BISQUERTT was founded in 1978 by Osvaldo Bisquertt Reveco, who planted his first vines in Chile in 1974. Mr. Bisquertt has been recognized as a pioneer in planting in the prestigious MARCHIHUE area, 32 km. to the Pacific Ocean, in the Colchagua Valley.
Today, BISQUERTT is managed by Osvaldo’s sons and a team of expert oenologists led by Johanna Pereira & Felipe Solminhiac, dedicated to producing fresh, and elegant wines.

WINEYARDS & TERROIR EL CHEQUEN Estate / 100 ha in Marchihue. Located 125 miles south of Santiago and 20 miles from the coast. It shows moderate/warm climate with ocean influence. Rainfall of 500 mm during the winter season and temperatures of 46,4 - 86º F during summer and 37,4 – 64,4 º during the winter period. Soils are frand to franc/clay from alluvial origen. Vertical trellis conduction system. 100% tecnified irrigation system. Principales cepas Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Carmenere.
WINEYARDS & TERROIR EL RULO Estate / 115 ha Piedmont. This estate is located 112 miles from Santiago and 9 miles from Santa Cruz COLCHAGUA. It shows a mild / warm climate. Rainfalls occur during the winter season 23 inches/year. Temperatures goes from 10 - 95 ยบ Farenheit during summer and 34 a 62 ยบ Farenheit during winter. Soils are franc franc/ clay. Mophology of hill sides and pied mont. Vertical trellis conducting system. Tecnified irrigation system. Main red varieties are Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah y Carmenere.
TERROIR The terroir project is oriented to seeking the best Terroir conditions to produce Premium and Ultra Premium wines. It was born in 2008 and started in El Chequen, Marchihue . Soil analysis to identify the different areas, generating a mapping of the property, improving the agriculural management. Collect and analyze the agricultural management and the eonological results from previous years. Feedback our agronomists and winemaker team and consider these results to define
WINEMAKER TEAM
Felipe de Solminihac Felipe, a former student of the San Ignacio School, is an Agronomist winemaker and a graduate of the Catholic University of Chile with a specialization and distinction in fruit Vituculture and Enology. Later he studied at the Universit’e de Bordeaux, with distinction in: Diplome National d-oenologues. Diplome d’Etudes Ampélologique. National Diplome en Sciences de la Vigne. Not satisfied with his current education and in search of greater knowledge he obtained a scholarship in France from the Ministry of Economy at the commercial and technical Agency that covered major French wine regions including Bordeaux, Le Loire, Languedoc, Bougogne and Champagne. His professional experience has allowed him to travel to Europe, North America, New Zealand, Australia, China and South Africa where he has learned about the vast diversity of te industry and the specializations of each of the markets.

Joanna Pereira Joanna studied Agriculture Engineering and specialized in winemaking in Concepción, Chile. Afterwards she did various post title diplomas such us Technologies Et wine production in renowned Universities in Santago, Chile. Since 1998 Joanna has develop her career as winemaker mainly at Viña Bisquertt in the Colchagua region in Chile. At the same time she has participated in various wine panels, new projects in the wine industry and has act as jury in reputated wine tournaments in Chile and Brazil. Trough different technical visits to California, France and other wine regions she has acquired different visions in winemaking process. Joanna is currently Head winemaker and Prouction Manager at Viña Bisquertt where she has gained high recognition for her wines from he most prestigious wine magazines in the world.

Felipe Gutiérrez
WINEMAKER TEAM Jaime Araya Garrido Jaime graduated as an Agronomical Engineer, specializing in Winemaking. He is currently in charge of the agricultural area and of Viña Bisquertt’s Terroir Project. Jaime was born in 1971 in the northern desert city of Copiapó, where he developed his academic skills. After graduating from secondary school, he moved to the cities of La Serena and Santiago to study and obtain his Agricultural and Winemaker degree.
At the beginning of his professional carrer, Jaime had the chance to work in different wineries, such as Viña Concha y Toro and Viña Vial. Later he went to California, USA, to acquire greater knowledge related to oenological techniques. He worked for prestigious wineries such as Opus One and Stag’s Leap. Back in Chile, Jaime joined the technical team at Viña Ventisquero, where he had the chance to work and keep in contact with winemakers and consultants such as John Duval, Rob Gibson and Aurelio Montes amongst others. At this time, he began to use his knowledge in agriculture, wine and geology to find specific terroirs. This project was managed and supported by the terroir consultant Pedro Parra. Searching for new professional challenges, in 2008 Jaime became Agricultural Manager at Viña Bisquertt, where he contributes his knowledge to this area of the winery. Jaime lives in the city of Santa Cruz, is married and is expecting the birth of his first child. He has a great passion for his work and for wine and is an enthusiastic participant in sports such as trekking and mountain biking in the Valley of Colchagua, activities that are part of his everyday life.

We prodly present Petirrojo Reserva range. In an effort to overdeliver, the Petirrojo range has evolved and now the fruitiness and soft tannins are delicately mingled to the French oak, which provides more complexity to the wine. The enhanced packaging transmits a young but sophisticated message to consumers.

La Joya The “jewel� of Bisquertt is 100% estate grown from the Bisquertt vineyards of El Rulo and El Chequen. Each vineyard has their own distinctive micro-climate contributing subtle nuances and complexity.
SINGLE VINEYARD
Ecos de Rulo is Bisquertt`s Single Vineyard range and the ultimate expression of the Colchagua terroir. Deep soils of quaternary origin containing breakable clays combined with a coastal influence climate produce exceptional grapes which feature elegant and complex wines with a strong personality. Theses wines are fermented and than kept for 12 – 14 months in new French oak barrels. But it is not before an additional year of bottle aging when the wines are released. The trilogy of soil, climate and winemaker are totally reflected in this superb and limited range of wines.
Q CLAY Crazy Rows 1.2 Involves a specific place in the vineyards, selected rows, energetic and nervous rows with high quality potential located in " El Chequen " Estate, in Marchihue, where the coastal influence creates unique conditions. The winemaking team feel these rows posses the desired characteristics to produce this complex and enjoyable wine.
