Building a Deck?
The Permadeck Difference There are some key product advantages of composite over traditional wood species:
Choose Permadeck Decking THE QUALITY ALTERNATIVE TO TIMBER No Nails, No visible fastenings, No Warping, No Twisting, No Painting, No Staining.
Stability: Every board is straight with no warping or twisting. Low Waste: There is minimal waste on the job. The long length of the boards (5.8mtr) means that there are fewer joins and no knots to cut out.
Smooth Safe Finish: The Permadeck products have no splinters or sharp edges. Colourfast: Permadeck doesn’t leech or bleed colour. In fact Permadeck is solid colour and will ‘weather’ about 5% and then retain that look for many years.
Suitable for residential decking and commercial applications. Manufactured from recycled plastic and wood fibre. Joist spacings of up to 450mm. Integrates with the PERMADECK hidden fastening system.

EASY, FAST INSTALLATION ON WOOD JOISTS. Products are quick and easy to install and leave very little wastage of material. Installation time can be saved by as much as 70% compared to Kwila.
1. Drill and screw the first board in place. Fit the clip into the groove of the board and screw into the joist (screw in about 80% leaving the clip slightly loose).
2. Pull in each board so that the clip fits
3. Drive each screw into the joists until
tightly into the grooved slot on the side of the board. Gap is 5mm
100% firm. Repeat until your deck is fully in place.
BREAKER BOARD AND CORNER DETAILS Breaker boards need to be laid in order to minimise the effect of thermal expansion and contraction (1mm per metre length).
