Page 1

YA, 12+ What if you created your own conspiracy theory – and suddenly, everyone believed in it? At Nando’s birthday party, one of his birthday presents creates an argument and a conversation about conspiracy theories. How do they actually work? There are three features: 1. What happens, happens in secret. Nothing is coincidence, everything is planned. 2. Nothing is what it seems. Reality has a false bottom, so to speak. What fits the theory is taken as evidence, what contradicts it is ignored. 3. Everything is interconnected. The conspirators recognise each other by secret signs.

Nothing is as it seems.

Everything is one big conspiracy.

Moreover, the conspiracy must be based on something that can be experienced in reality. The idea arises to put a crazy theory into the world via social media and see what happens with it: something with aliens. Each of the participants has the task of spreading this story on three different social media channels. The plan was, of course, that the fun would be cleared up after a few days. But then the story is hijacked by an anonymous user and crazier and crazier things start to happen. More and more people believe and spread the story about the aliens and call themselves Shelter ...
