BEAUTIFUL FLOWER CROWNS 9.30am, Jimboomba Library In this workshop with Menke Albrecht from Flowers By Menke, you will learn the fundamentals of constructing a beautiful flower crown. LOGAN ECO FORUM 10am to 3.30pm, Beenleigh Events Centre How do we create a City of Eco Heroes? Join us for a day of knowledge sharing and networking as we all come together to better understand how we can create a city living in harmony with nature. All attendees will enjoy inspiring presentations and participate in workshops, contributing their stories and ideas on how we as a community can lead the way in environmental stewardship. RIVER ADVENTURE RACE 1pm to 3pm, Jimboomba Calling all adventurous teens! Join us as we celebrate World Rivers Day with a river race! Working together, teams will navigate around and across the Logan River to a variety of checkpoints, competing in challenges and tasks along the way. This fun and active event will help develop teamwork, problem solving and flood-water safety skills while promoting stewardship of our local rivers. A parent/guardian must attend with children. AUSSIE BACKYARD BIRD COUNT Mon 21 Oct to Sun 27 Oct, anywhere The #AussieBirdCount is back for another week of bird counting! This is a great way to connect with the birds in your backyard. Count all of the birds you can see as many times as you like over the week, just make sure each count is completed over a 20-minute period. HOW TO START BEEKEEPING 9.30am to 11am, Logan Village Library Learn from Roman Spur what you need to know to start keeping honey bees in the backyard. Learn practical tips on how to manage and reduce household energy consumption without compromising on comfort. Everyone is welcome at Logan’s community gardens and no gardening experience is necessary. COME & TRY BIRDWATCHING Join Birdlife Southern Queensland for one of their regular birdwatching outings. All levels of experience welcome. COME & TRY BUSHWALKING Join the Logan and Beaudesert Bushwalkers and explore the regions great bushwalks whilst increasing your fitness and meeting new people. COME & TRY MOUNTAIN BIKING Join Brisbane South Mountain Bike Club for a social ride around Daisy Hill Forest Park. All new riders to the club can enjoy one free session! PARKRUN

Library membership is free of charge and available to all community members. Library membership includes: free Wi-Fi and public computers for use at no charge; access to online learning and e-resources; books, movies and music; and free events for children, teens and adults.

Parkrun organise free, weekly, 5km timed runs around the world. They are open to everyone, free, and are safe and easy to take part in. Parkrun commences at 7am on Saturdays.

LOGAN ART GALLERY Logan Art Gallery showcases the best local and touring art, craft and design exhibitions.
