You might catch a glimpse of koalas, water dragons, swamp wallabies and many species of birds. In late winter and spring you’ll see wildflowers in bloom. Springwood Conservation Park is one of only two places in the City of Logan where Planchon’s Stringybark grows.

This waterfront park offers barbecues (electric), basketball, fishing/pontoon, picnic area, playground and toilets (wheelchair access).

KID-FRIENDLY PARKS UNDERWOOD PARK Underwood Rd, Priestdale A beautiful large park with a range of facilities to suit everyone. There are many gazebos around the park, with barbecue facilities as well as a small gazebo behind the lagoon. The park also features a large play area with plenty of play equipment to keep children busy. Bring along your dog, as there is a large off-leash area where your pet can run around.

Crestmead Park offers barbecues (wood), basketball, BMX, dog off-leash area, picnic area, playground, skate facilities, toilets (including wheelchair accessible toilets) and volleyball.

BERRINBA WETLANDS Wayne Goss Dr, Browns Plains Explore South West 1 and the Berrinba Wetlands, 80 hectares of natural beauty and recreational facilities with over 8.5km of walking and bike tracks. There are 430,000 new native plants, 100 nesting boxes for birds, possums and gliders, and eight kms of walking tracks for everyone to enjoy. Get close to nature and learn more about the natural environment at Berrinba. South West 1 highlights the best of local flora and fauna, with a key focus on preserving the environment for future generations. It is a nature loverâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s haven featuring interactive LCD screen and viewing platform in the heart of the City of Logan.

Blackbird St, Beenleigh

Greenwood Lakes offers a range of activities including bushwalking, walking the dog (on a leash) and bird watching. Situated on the banks of Oxley Creek, this park is a haven for birds and other wildlife species. The boardwalk and viewing platform provide great opportunities for watching water birds on the lake area.

Logan River Parklands offers barbecues (electric), boat ramp, fishing/pontoon, fitness equipment, picnic area, playground, toilets, volleyball and a waterfront view.

JIMBOOMBA PARK South St, Jimboomba Jimboomba Park offers bike tracks, fitness equipment, picnic area, playground, skate facilities, toilets and walking tracks.

LOGAN GARDENS Civic Pde, Logan Central Logan Gardens offers barbecues (electric), bike track, bocce, disc golf, dog off-leash area, picnic area, playground (including an all abilities playspace), toilets (including wheelchair accessible toilets) and walking tracks.

MT WARREN OVAL 175 Beaudesert-Beenleigh Rd, Mount Warren Park Mt Warren Oval offers a dog off-leash area, picnic area, playground and toilets.

REGENTS PARK Bennett Dr, Regents Park

RIVERDALE PARK Armstrong Rd, Meadowbrook Boasting 10 hectares and bordering the banks of the Logan River, Riverdale Park offers an ideal place for exercise or fitness with bikeways and a fitness circuit with river views. The park has a floating gazebo over the small lagoon and a large gazebo designed for big groups which is on the hill. There are both electric and gas barbecue facilities as well as play equipment for children. Riverdale Park has a great off-leash area that accommodates all of the family.

City of Logan ImagiNation Children’s Festival Keep the kids entertained these school holidays at the City of Logan’s ImagiNation Children’s Festival. A 16-day action-packed program brings together a monster-sized range of free and low-cost activities popping up in every corner of the city, sparking ImagiNation everywhere. The activities guarantee all-round good fun for the naught to twelve age group. Some sessions have limited spaces available, so be sure to book early to avoid disappointment.
