If you want to clear up the myths around recycling, learn what happens once your waste is collected from your home, and are keen to learn how you can further avoid, reduce and reuse your waste materials, then this workshop is for you! The workshop will include a behind-the-scene bus tour of the tip face and recycling facilities. Refreshments and morning tea are provided and there will be compost bin giveaways for 5 lucky workshop participants. Grab a pre-loved treasure at the Logan Recycling Market and see why the Browns Plains Landfill is one of the most advanced, user-friendly and innovative waste facilities in Queensland. EARTH HOUR 2018 8.30pm–9.30pm Be part of the world’s largest environmental movement. Earth Hour is the world’s largest grassroots movement for climate change action. Since starting in Sydney in 2007, Earth Hour has been celebrated by millions of people in over 180 countries. On Saturday, 24th March at 8.30pm, switch off for Earth Hour—for the future of our planet. The lights in some of Council’s facilities will be switched off for the hour.
