This workshop will teach you how to successfully establish and maintain a home composting and worm farming system, providing options for different styles and methods of organic recycling.
Have you ever wondered what happens to your general waste once your bin is collected from the kerbside? Then come along on an eye opening tour of the Browns Plains Landfill. Watch the heavy machinery at work on the tip face, learn how Council processes garden waste, and get a better understanding of the range of reuse and recycling facilities available onsite.
The workshop will include a behind-the-scene bus tour of the tip face and recycling facilities. Refreshments and morning tea are provided and there will be compost bin giveaways for 5 lucky participants. Ages: Children 10+ and adults Bookings: 3457 2400 or loganwe@envirocom.com.au

Join Brisbane South Mountain Bike Club for a social ride around Daisy Hill Forest Park. All new riders to the club can enjoy one free session! Open to all levels including kids. Subsequent rides with the club are $5 per ride or you can join the club. Ride generally leaves from Daisy Hill Forest Park’s top car park next to the information board.
Logan Art Gallery showcases the best local and touring art, craft and design exhibitions. Regular activities include opening night “Meet the artists” events and workshop activities held in conjunction with the exhibition program.

Community gardens are a great way for residents to come together and grow organic food, improve health and meet new people. Everyone is welcome at Logan’s community gardens and no gardening experience is necessary.
Join the Logan and Beaudesert Bushwalkers and explore the regions great bushwalks whilst increasing your fitness and meeting new people. First two bushwalks are free, then a small membership fee applies.
