Sensory for children Sensory Space

Sensory night in

A place for all children to explore and play at Marsden Library. Learn through technology, touch, sight, sound and movement.

Join us for a night of child-led sensory fun in a welcoming and judgement-free space. Explore our sensory kits with your child, play games or discover robotics. For families living with autism or other sensory processing issues.

The space features play-based equipment including a bubble tube, touch screen, tablets and wall toys. Kits for families and groups to use with children are available including: social and emotions; tactile; fine coordination; auditory and visual. Funded by:

Nyeumba-Meta Nyeumba-Meta is a space and collection at Logan Central Library that aims to foster respect for Australian Indigenous cultures. The space includes a yarning circle and artwork, and it has regular events throughout the year. Nyeumba-Meta was named to reflect the Yugambeh and Torres Strait languages. Heritage Visit Mayes Cottage 20 Mawarra Street, Kingston Step back in time and visit historic Mayes Cottage, a reminder of Queensland's pioneering age. The cottage was built in 1887 and is virtually unchanged. Enjoy the calm and relaxing atmosphere with a picnic or share a yarn on the veranda with our friendly voluntary guides. Mayes Cottage House Museum is free and open to everyone. The opening hours are Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10.30am to 4pm.
