Welcome

Welcome. Welcome to Conway, a vibrant community in the heart of Arkansas that is known as the City of Colleges. Bustling inside of Faulkner County, Conway is home to about 60,000, including students at three colleges: the University of Central Arkansas, Hendrix College and Central Baptist College. This helps to give Conway a progressive feel while still maintaining the small-town aspects it has always been famous for. Conway is able to provide you with all the amenities that you would find in a larger town, such as shopping at places familiar and unique, world-class dining at a variety of restaurants that are upscale or more quaint, entertainment including musical tastes ranging from the symphony to Delta blues, and all the services you would need to enjoy this wonderful, welcoming community. A full day can be had from the first sweet roll that pops out of the local bakery to the last crumb of dessert at dinner. In between, there are sights to be seen, things to do and places to go. Shop all day or take a bike trip through one of our many parks. Play golf, or sit back and relax at a movie or a concert. Whatever you want to do, you can do it in Conway, and we’ll help you find what you need.

Entertainment

Entertainment. If it’s entertainment you’re looking for, there are a variety of options found in every area of Conway. For the person who wants to be active to those who would rather kick back and relax, there is something for everyone. The crown jewel of the entertainment year in Conway is always the Toad Suck Festival, held during the first week of May. This downtown event grows every year and is always fun for the entire family. First-rate musical acts headline every evening, while food, crafts, rides and good times highlight each day. Later in the year, the Arkansas Shakespeare Festival provides theatre that educates and entertains, with the majority of productions coming from the famous playwright’s works. Those wanting musical entertainment can look no further than the Conway Symphony Orchestra, who performs throughout the summer and on the holidays. Be sure to check the University of Central Arkansas’ schedule of performances at Reynolds Performance Hall. Everything from touring musicals straight from Broadway to popular music concerts and exciting celebrity speakers are sprinkled throughout the year. Live music is also available at several eateries throughout town. Everything from country to rockabilly and blues is offered. For those who want to get out and about, take a trip to Pickles Gap Village on Highway 65. The area provides shopping, home cooking and fudge made on site. Pull out your bike and take a trip through the many parks in the city or aim for the green at any one of our golf courses in town. Activities such as bowling or a trip to the movies or even a local spa are also great alternatives for the visitor who wants to get out and about.
