Faulkner County boasts some of the best public schools in this part of the country. The public school district’s new facilities handle the growth and adapt to new ways of learning. Conway is home to three institutions of higher learning — University of Central Arkansas, Hendrix College, and Central Baptist College. Find all the music, art, and culture you want at Faulkner County Library, Baum Art Gallery on the UCA campus, and Faulkner County Historical Museum. All of these institutions are great venues for many community events. Close to 200,000 people will descend on Conway for Toad Suck Daze festival, and you won’t want to miss it. hen it comes to entertainment, Conway cannot be beat. Every taste is satisfied here, from classical to modern music and from live theatre to activities for the entire family to places to kick back and relax ... you won’t have to go far to find something to entertain you. Putting all forms of entertainment together in one spot is exactly what the Toad Suck Daze Festival does every year. This historic festival, celebrated for more than 30 years, attracts hundreds of thousands to Downtown Conway during the first weekend in May. The entertainment options are overflowing, with chart-topping musical acts on the bill every evening and a vast array of food to whet any appetite. The festival also features carnival rides, crafts, parades and the world championship toad races. Toad Suck Daze supplies good times for everyone. For those who want to experience the more cultured side of the city, the Conway Symphony Orchestra performs throughout the year, with some performances coming under the stars at Simon Park.
