These fuels are usually mixed with oxygen to promote heat and melt the metals. When oxygen is mixed with the fuel the process is known as oxidation and is populary referred as combustion. One needs to always keep in mind that each gas has an unique property of its own. Thus one gas can not be used in all the purposes as its heat properties are different compared to

Equipment used: A typical welding equipment makes use of both oxygen as well as fuel gas to begin the process. Powered with two hoses and two pressure regulators for each source, the welding appartus works with the torch to weld the materials. In cases where portability is an issue, the torches are made with pressurized liquid fuels so that the load on the equipment can be brought down. A regulator is also used to control the pressure from the hoses of the tanks. The user therefore controls the flow of fuels with the regulator in both the hose as well as in the cylinder.
