HOUSE DESIGN


1 MANDAWA ART GALLERY MANDAWA : LAND OF LARGEST OPEN ART GALLERY Mandawa is a place known for its rich heritage culture and its diversity in people. The place is well known for its heritage haveli designs and ceramic wall paintings located in small district of seekhwati region. The project aims at developing an art centre with workshop facilities for artists with temporary hostel accomodation. The site is located near hotel shahi palace and adjacent to main road facing chowkhani double haveli. The concept behind this project was to replicate the small colonies of mandawa to provide natural shade and circulation of air. The courtyards were a mjor part of design with square grids like existing haveli plans.

2 THESIS CHANDIGARH RAILWAY STATION RE-DEVELOPMENT Chandigarh railway station is located in chandigarh. The project is based on an undergoing tender under the guidance of IRSDC (Indian Railways Station Development Corporation) which is planned to be served for the year 2050. The proposed project caters both the ends of the station, Chandigarh(main) and Panchkula. The goal was to achieve a design program that can cater a pea of around 1,00,000 passengers per day as currently its only 52,000 per day which includes visitors,arrivals,departing. The design program focused on keeping the architectural essence left by Ar.Corbusier and how the city is remembered by his name and contribution in early days of free India by use of concrete finish and his 5 points under his design philosophy.

Located on foothills of shivalik, the site is located on central axis between chandigarh and haryana. The station connects both the UT and haryana side. Situated on the east end of le corbusier’s “grid city ”. The site has been operational since 1954,but the present building was built in the year 1973. Surrounded by industrial area on all sides expect on the northeren end ,where commercial development along madhya marg.

the area under railways is about 499.5 acres which inlcudes forest, station and housing colony, washyard located righ ton periphery of haryana region.

3 URBAN DESIGN SAROJINI NAGAR RE-DEVELOPMENT SAROJINI NAGAR IS AN INTEGRAL PART OF NEW DELHI. THE REDEVOPMENT PROJECT EMPHASIS TO MEET HOUSING DEMANDS ALONG WITH COMMERCIAL FACILITIES AND COMPLEX. THE SITE UNDER REDEVELOPMENT HAS A DENSITY OF APPROXIMATELY 47DU/HA. IT CONSISTS OF GPRA RESIDENTIAL UNITS OF TYPE III AND IV WHICH RANGE IN AREA FROM 68 SQ M TO 96 SQ M. THE SITE OF SAROJINI NAGAR IS PROPOSED TO BE RE- DEVELOPED BY NBCC AS PER MIXED LANDUSE REGULATIONS AND FAR AVAILABLE TO IN THE MPD 2021. THE PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT WILL ACHIEVE A TOTAL BUILT UP AREA OF 38,45,282 SQ.M


LOCATED between the Ring Road to the south and the Ring Rail to the north. On the east it is bound by other residential areas like Lakshmi Bai Nagar and Africa Avenue to the west.

Additionally there are several existing schools,convenience shopping centers, a central market with a newly built mlp block, and other public amenities

4 HOUSE DESIGN PALEMAHAN : HOUSE WITH NATURE KEEPING THE SPIRIT OF BALI’S RELIGIOUS SENTIMENTS PARALLEL TO THE DESIGN, WHILE BEING PROGRESSIVE AS WELL AS INCLUSIVE TO THE NATURALITY OF THE SPACE, THE ARCHITECTURE HAS BEEN CONCIEVED IN SUCH A WAY. TAKING UP THE PHILOSOPHY OF ‘PARIKRAMA’ AND TRANSLATING IT THROUGH THE NATURE OF CLOCKWISE TWIST IN THE FORM OF THE FACADE, NOT ONLY HIGHLIGHTS THE IMPORTANCE OF THE LIVING AREA BUT ALSO PROVIDES A SENSE OF SECURITY .

INDUSTRIAL DESIGN : KEPLER - 186 The proposal of human settlement on earth like planet kepler - 186 was the brief introduced by nasa india for the competition. The design was selected in top 7 nominations and the reason it made it so unique was the acceptance and involvement of human psychological aspects along with 5 major elements that are part of planet earth and human survival as well. The concept of reflections to replicate earth on kepler -186 and in future colonisation of the same in progressive manner
