The Mahabharata, a grand old Indian epic, contains thousands of stories, several of which perplex us by their moral ambiguity. The story of Shakuntala, is one such account. In Shakuntala's Plight, the story has been retold to give a vent to the unexpressed feelings of Shakuntala( as is narrated in the original) and attempts to unravel her undisclosed inner disposition, in the depiction, we are familiar with.Thus, enabling the readers to explore the epic from a fresh perspective.
