Reflection on hot desking feedback

Reflection on Hot Desking Feedback Today I showed people the progression of my classic rock magazine so far with hot desking. One strength that the respondents highlighted was that the masthead stood out and it fit in with the genre. The size of the masthead is fine because it is big enough to be readable from a distance however the respondents found the colours of the masthead made it difficult to see as it blended in with the background. I was aiming to make my masthead a gold colour however the respondents perceived this colour to be brown and the brown and red did not work well. It was suggested by a couple of respondents that I should use a monochrome colour scheme so I will do this to improve the front cover as it would give the connotation a vintage and nostalgic feel to the magazine. It was also suggested that I should make my masthead bolder so it would stand out more in the distance so I will either but this in bold or make the letters thicker in InDesign. In addition, I had feedback that the masthead did not stand out because it was not a bright colour but this respondent said that a bright colour is not needed for the masthead as the background is colourful therefore I will make the colour scheme monochrome as suggested by my participants. It was suggested that the image in the double page spread is too similar to the front cover image as the pose is very similar so I will change this image for one with a different pose. I may add another image to my double page spread because it was suggested that it would look better with another image so I will do this if I could fit it in with the other image and the pull quote I am planning to include.
