Day 2 - Friday, August 2 - Stockholm, Sweden Arrival at Arlanda, the Stockholm Airport. Transfer to hotel and rest of day at leisure, then Welcome Dinner in the evening. Overnight in Stockholm. (-/-/D)
Day 3 - Saturday, August 3 – Stockholm A er breakfast we start our explora on of Stockholm, with a guided walk through the Old Town and a visit to the SoFo area, Stockholm’s Bohemian district. A er lunch we take a boat to Dro ningholm, the Royal Summer Palace. We end the day with dinner in an interes ng local restaurant. Overnight in Stockholm. (B/L/D)
Day 4 - Sunday, August 4 - Stockholm Our Stockholm immersion con nues today, as we get to know different aspects of this Northern capital. We take a walk to the ferries that take us to Djurgården, the former Royal Hun ng Ground. This island in central Stockholm is home to historical buildings and monuments, museums, galleries, and the Skansen open air museum. One of its main a rac ons is the Vasa Musuem, where this famous 17th century Swedish warship is on display. We will have lunch en route and dinner in the evening in a local restaurant). We start our private tour today with a visit to the Czar’s Winter Palalce, with the fascina ng and world famous Hermitage Museum. From here we go by hydrofoil to Peterhof Palace and Park, before we return to the Wind Surf, leaving St. Petersburg at 6:00 pm, enriched with unforge able memories of Russia’s “Window to the West”. Day 10 - Saturday, August 10 – Helsinki, Finland We reach the Finnish capital at noon. Our private city tour, aims to reveal the individuality of this Nordic na on through the fantas c design and architectural highlights that best characterize Helsinki. The focus on design is appropriate, since Helsinki was designated the World Design Cap al 2012. Overnight on board. (B/L/D)
Day 11 - Sunday, August 11 – Tallinn, Estonia Our final private shore excursion introduces us to the diversity of both medieval and modern Tallinn, with a classical Old Town walking tour, followed by a drive through the surrounding suburbs. Take a stroll in a beau ful baroque style park and see the roman c ruins of St. Bridget’s Convent. Overnight on board. (B/L/D)
Day 5 - Monday, August 5 – Stockholm → Embark We conclude our Stockholm explora on with a visit to City Hall, where the annual Nobel Prizes are awarded. On our way to the cruise ship harbour we visit the beau ful sculpture park of Millesgården. Then it’s me for our embarkaon on the Wind Surf. At 6:00 pm we sail out of the harbour. (B/L/D)
Day 6 - Tuesday, August 6 – Mariehamn, Finland
Day 12 - Monday, August 12 - Sanhamn, Sweden
This is part of the Aland Islands. Elegant wooden houses and glistening marinas dot the landscape. Take a stroll along treelined streets, ride a bike, or take an op onal excursion to see more of the islands. Overnight on board. (B/L/D)
We arrive on this peaceful island for our final port of call on this cruise. Experience the remarkable mari me terrain of the outer archipelago. Sandhamn is the primary meeting place for sailors and yachters, with a vibrant party scene during summer. Decidedly off the mass-holidaymakers path, this idyllic village offers opportuni es for discovery at every turn: narrow alleys, co ages in shades of rust red, and a historical sea pilot sta on. Day 7 - Wednesday, August 7 - At Sea Spend a relaxing day at sea, as we sail east towards St. Petersburg. We also offer a lecture on the Russian rulers who shaped St. Petersburg. Overnight on board. (B/L/D)
Day 8 - Thursday, August 8 - St. Petersburg, Russia Our private shore excursion will start with a sightseeing tour of St. Petersburg, ending at the Peter and Paul Fortress. A er lunch we visit Catherine the Great’s Summer Palace
Day 13 - Tuesday, August 13 - Stockholm → Canada The Wind Suf is scheduled to dock at 8:00 am. A er disembarking we transfer to Stockholm Airport, for our flight home, or your individual onward journey. (B/-/-) Note: B=Breakfast, L=Lunch, D=Dinner
