WELCOME
TO THE 30TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION OF
THE LONDON
H
ello and a warm welcome to this very special edition of The London.
July 10th 2024 will mark 30 years since our courses were officially opened. Jack Nicklaus – designer of The Heritage – was joined by fellow greats Seve Ballesteros and Tony Jacklin as they competed in a very special charity skins match. It fills me with great pride that Jack, the winner of a record 18 major titles, has sent his own message to all at London Golf Club (see page 27) as we begin to celebrate the past three decades. Throughout this magazine, you will find several features that reflect upon the past – including a very special sit-down interview with a man who has been here since the start, head PGA professional Paul Stuart. Looking back on the more recent past, as we wrap up 2023 and head into what I hope will be a great festive period for you all, I would like to take a moment to reflect on what has been a wonderful year.
Scan here to read the digital edition of The London.
The first year since the Covid-19 pandemic that has felt normal from start to finish, it has been a pleasure to see so many of you making full use of the club’s facilities once again. Both our courses have been meticulously maintained throughout the year and, thanks to the work of all our staff, tee sheets have been populated by both member and visitor bookings. On the courses, this year we played host to many member and open events. Our Order of Merit was held in partnership with Al Zorah Golf Club in the United Arab Emirates (see page 12), with victor Jack Winzar receiving a trip to the destination as his prize. This year you have helped us raise £10,000 for Prostate Cancer UK (see page 14) and have shown up and supported many events here at the club, including our much-loved firework evening and more recently our Christmas party. Over the past 12 months, we, as a club, have also lost two pivotal figures who were crucial in helping lay the foundations for 30 years of success. We were deeply saddened to hear of the passing of former owner Masao Nagahara and The International Course designer Ron Kirby. This festive period, our thoughts go out to the families and friends of both – and to any London Golf Club member who has lost a cherished friend or member of the family in 2023. Looking ahead to the coming year, we have a busy schedule and plenty of member events coming up. We are also working on our tournamenthosting program and hope to bring news of new tournament opportunities in the coming months.

LONDON GOLF CLUB IN PARTNERSHIP WITH AL ZORAH IN 2023 FOR THE ORDER OF MERIT:
THE RACE TO AL ZORAH In 2023, London Golf Club began an exciting new partnership with Al Zorah Golf Club. As part of the partnership, the golf destination in the United Arab Emirates sponsored the year’s Order of Merit competition.
H
eld on both The Heritage and The International, ‘The Race to Al Zorah’ saw members compete for the most points over ten competitions between May and November as they battled for the chance to win an incredible five-night luxury holiday to the United Arab Emirate of Ajman, near Dubai, with unlimited golf at the spectacular Jack Nicklausdesigned course. As well as receiving five nights’ accommodation for two people at the five-star hotel, The Oberoi Beach Resort, and unlimited golf, the winner would receive golf buggies with GPSI, warmup range balls and first tee amenities. In a closely fought race, Jack Winzar ended up victorious and the lucky winner of the amazing prize offered by Al Zorah, with
36 points enough to see off the challenge of Spenser Mills in second place and Jamie Roberts in third. Speaking shortly after clinching victory with an event to spare, Winzar said: “There’s a massive sense of relief and joy that the commitment I have put into my game has paid off. I’m looking forward to visiting Al Zorah next year!” London Golf Club’s director of golf Ben Stimson said: “Jack will be able to experience the unique tranquillity and unassuming charm of Al Zorah Golf Club. Furthermore, the exquisite hotel at The Oberoi Resort is simply stunning, making the Al Zorah resort perfect for a dream vacation. We extend our sincerest gratitude to Philip Henderson and the Al Zorah development team for their kind

collaboration, which has made this incredible opportunity possible. With two years of experience working with the talented team at Al Zorah, I can confidently say that Jack will have a trip of a lifetime.’’ A fellow member of the Nicklaus Design network, which features 425 courses across the globe, Al Zorah Golf Club has established itself as one of the Middle East’s best golf courses since opening in 2015. Set within a stunning natural environment, the course provides golfers with a unique golf experience with water levels shifting with the tides throughout the day.
We were delighted to be partnering with London Golf Club throughout 2023 through sponsorship of The Race to Al Zorah. londongolf.co.uk

LONDON GOLF CLUB RAISES £10,000 TOWARDS FIGHT AGAINST PROSTATE CANCER London Golf Club has played a leading role in golf’s drive to beat cancer after raising £10,000 as part of a new charity partnership with Prostate Cancer UK.
londongolf.co.uk 14
T
hroughout a 12-month partnership – which started in September 2022 – a calendar of events was organised to increase awareness of the most common cancer in men and to raise funds for ground-breaking research to deliver a national prostate cancer screening programme and save men’s lives. In addition to hosting a series of fundraising events – including a charity golf day (The Big Golf Race) – London Golf Club promoted the charity to members and guests in several ways across its facilities.
Donation tins were present throughout the year in the golf shop, reception and Spike Bar, staff wore Prostate Cancer UK’s iconic ‘Man of Men’ badges as part of their uniform, while orders of special charity dishes on the clubhouse menu saw money donated to the charity through every purchase. The clubhouse was also dressed with Prostate Cancer UK branding, as was the venue’s fleet of buggies. A disease affecting one in eight men in the UK, prostate cancer is a condition prevalent in the
golf community, with men over 50, black men and men with a family history of the disease at greatest risk. Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men, with around 475,000 living with and after the disease. We would like to thank our members and visitors for their generosity in helping us raise funds for this important cause. We hope our contribution will help raise awareness, early detection, and treatment of prostate cancer, ultimately saving lives.
We are absolutely delighted to have worked with Prostate Cancer UK over this period. Prostate cancer affects the lives of so many men and their families, and I would like to thank our members and visitors for their generosity in helping us raise an incredible £10,000 for the charity as it looks to help beat this dreadful disease. EUROPE RETAIN SOLHEIM CUP WITH STUNNING COMEBACK AGAINST USA The 2023 Solheim Cup had everything

H
eld at Spain’s Finca Cortesin Golf Club, the best women’s golfers from the United States and Europe competed in a classic contest that will be remembered for years to come. The biennial competition saw Stacy Lewis’ USA team and Suzann Pettersen’s European side compete over five gruelling sessions in the Andalusian hills. The 18th edition of the famous contest appeared to be over before it had truly begun. In the opening session, the visiting Americans swept the foursomes – the first time they’d ever done so. But any hopes the US had of an easy contest soon faded. In the afternoon session, they managed just one point as a fired-up Carlota Ciganda – forced to watch the morning’s action from the sidelines – sparked Team Europe into life
and firmly back into contention cheered on by her home crowd. On day two, Europe took home five of the eight points to leave the match tied at 8-8 heading into the Sunday singles. Despite a strong start from the home team, the momentum appeared to be swinging towards the Americans as they took a 13-11 lead. But a stunning fightback from world number 121 Caroline Hedwall – who won five of her last six holes – cut the deficit to one point before a narrow 2&1 victory by Maja Stark laid the foundations for Ciganda to secure the Solheim Cup – ending the week with four wins out of four. A 2&1 victory for America’s Lexi Thompson ensured the contest would finish 14-14, the firstever tie in the tournament’s history.

MY JOURNEY TO 30 YEARS From caddie to head PGA professional
londongolf.co.uk 20
What are some of the most memorable moments you have had while working at the London Golf Club, and how have those experiences shaped you personally and professionally? Over the 30 years at the club, I have had many great experiences. Winning the Tillman Trophy on the Heritage Course was a memorable few days. Receiving great support from the members and my colleagues and ultimately winning, really helped shape my amateur career. Hosting Jack Nicklaus on a corporate event was a pretty cool experience to say the least. Watching him hit shots up close whilst he performed a clinic was inspiring. Lastly, and it’s not so much of a moment, to see some of the people I have mentored through the years thriving and doing well as they have progressed in their careers really means a lot. If I have helped someone, even in a small way, I enjoy that. How has the golf industry changed since you first started working at London Golf Club, and how have you adapted to those changes?
As a coach, I would recommend being open to new ideas and to keep researching the progress there is in coaching and club technology. It’s important to
Could you talk about how you got started at London Golf Club, and what your initial role was? In August '93, I was playing in a club match. My opponent happened to be a friend and asked what I was doing through the winter. At the time I was aspiring to be a pro and I remember he said to me “I’ve got a caddie job at London Golf Club with the caddie master Dean, do you fancy it?” To which I replied, “yeah, why not!”. I had no idea what lay ahead. A week later I came for an interview and naively underestimated what the club was all about. I flew straight past security as I arrived, who then started to chase me down the drive, I carried on driving and took the first turn into the
Greenkeeping compound, which I thought was the clubhouse! Anyway, following a quick chat with Dean and a six month job over the winter to fund my amateur career for golf… 30 years later here I am! Initially, I started to caddy at the club for about five years until about 1998. From there I was lucky to experience the soft opening of the club where I carried for Jack Nicklaus Jr., who was playing alongside his father. I remember being about 20/21 years old and looking around wondering “how am I here right now?”. Through this time I started to build a good relationship with the Nagahara family (original owners of the club). They were really encouraging towards my amateur career. The pinnacle of this time was to go on and represent England at Sunningdale and play alongside Luke Donald. I then started to transition into the pro shop as an assistant PGA Pro, in doing so I qualified in just under four years while working at the club. This then lead into the role of head PGA pro for LGC which came alongside the club’s current ownership who took over the club. In 2009, the position for director of golf became vacant and after a bit of ‘umming and arring’ it seemed like the natural next step for my career, as I had stopped competing in tournaments. Eventually, I was appointed as director of golf and went on to host the likes of the European Open, Volvo World Matchplay and Open Qualifying which was an amazing experience and a big test for me in my role. It was a real honour to be the director of golf when the European Open was played here in 2009. There were great crowds and

Without a doubt, advancements in technology is where I have seen the most changes. Range Finders, Coaching (e.g Trackman) and even clothing. When iIstarted playing we all had wool pringle jumpers... These days we are all wearing moisture wicking and stretch technology. In terms of clubs, balls and equipment, I am hitting it further than I was 30 years ago!
challenge yourself and to try to take some form of selfdevelopment, whether that is following a different teaching style or maybe understanding an element of the game better. An example of that is different swing trends: when I first started, Nick Faldo's golf swing was seen as a good model to emulate. Now, using data, we can accurately measure why players are successful and understand biomechanics a lot more. This shows how the use of technology has really enhanced all elements of coaching. It’s amazing to think that, when I first started, we had just started using video yet now we have all got video analysis cameras on our mobile phones. Keeping on top of advances in technology is vital for any golf coach. Using launch monitor technology such as Trackman and coaching apps have changed the structure of golf lessons. I am no longer reliant on watching the ball flight, the use of technology now validates my coaching instinct.
21
a good field, including a young Rory (Mcllroy). To be leading the team was very exciting and I really enjoyed that.
I really enjoy helping people through my coaching to achieve their goals, be it a professional, top amateur or a club golfer.
Fast forward to 2018, the opportunity arose to create and Head up the ‘LGC Academy’. I am passionate about developing the coaching platform for both members and visitors with some exciting plans in the pipeline.
Other challenges we’ve faced revolve around our renowned English weather. I can recall a period five or six years ago when we had a spell of wintery weather resulting in the club being closed. A winter that just kept coming with a seemingly endless spell of snow and ice.
As I’m sure you can see, my journey at the club has been far from straightforward, but I have enjoyed every moment so far and look forward to what the next chapter will bring. Looking back on your career at London Golf Club, what are some of the achievements you are most proud of, and how did you accomplish them? I would say the first thing that springs to mind has to be more of a personal achievement in my career. In 2019 I was honoured to be named the PGA South Region Coach of the Year. To be recognised by this after putting so much hard work into my lessons and coaching was a great accomplishment.
londongolf.co.uk 22
Throughout my career, I have been really lucky to have received great support and developed many strong working relationships within the industry. I have always felt that I have had a good rapport with the membership which is important to me as we have tried to grow the club since opening. The support I have received from these different quarters helped us navigate some of the more challenging times at the club. I started in 2008, working with a young player who went on to win the 2008 English Girls Championship. I have got a bit of a reputation as to having a strong short game and this was the area we focused on which helped her achieve a success.
As we are quite high up and are two or three degrees colder than other clubs, it didn’t really shift from here for a long time and that was challenging. Weather in the golf industry is always a factor, from cold spells and rain to hot spells like the one we had last summer when we had to keep the golf courses alive and in a playable condition. Finally, how do you reflect on your 30 years at the club? I have been very fortunate to build a career in golf doing something that I love and enjoy. As the saying goes, "find a job you enjoy doing and you will never have to work a day in your life", and that is how I have felt at London Golf Club over the last 30 years. The experiences I have had, the people I have worked with and the people I have met have all shaped where I am right now. I am looking forward to the next chapter in my career, especially if we are chosen to host the Ryder Cup in the future. In our industry of hospitality, entertainment and leisure, you’ve got to be prepared to work hard. You have to quickly realise that you’re going to work some unsociable hours but it’s important not to lose sight of the fact that you have gone into the industry because you love playing golf, and you should take advantage of the chance to enjoy a game whenever you can.

RAPID FIRE QUESTIONS londongolf.co.uk 24
What is your favourite hole at LGC? The 5th hole on the Heritage course. It’s a testing risk and reward hole and gives you options on how to play it. Who is the best player you have played with? Hands down, Adam Scott. I don’t think that requires too much explanation. Do you have a favourite event throughout your tenure at LGC? If I had to pick one… it would have to be the 2009 European Open. The club was packed with 30,000 plus people, the atmosphere was electric, and the place came alive. It was incredible to see the potential of the club for such big events.

LONDON GOLF CLUB MOURNS PASSING OF TWO KEY FIGURES Over the past year, London Golf Club has lost two pivotal figures who were crucial in helping set the foundations for 30 years of success.
I
n autumn, we were deeply saddened to hear of the passing of former owner Masao Nagahara, a name that will always be synonymous with our club. A Japanese businessman and keen golfer himself, Mr Nagahara’s vision for a first-class golfing facility close to London saw him purchase a plot of land in Kent in the early 1990s. By July 1994, his vision was complete as London Golf Club opened its doors. Although Mr Nagahara sold the venue to the Bendinant Group in 2003, his vision, investment and determination ensures he will always be remembered by all with ties to the club. A little earlier in the summer, it was with great sadness that we heard the news that Ron Kirby had passed away at the age of 90. The designer of our International Course, Kirby was respected all over the world as one of the game’s finest course architects. After selling his own design company, Kirby began working for Nicklaus Design Services and Jack Nicklaus as overseer on all European projects, including London Golf Club. Here he would design the International Course under the Nicklaus Design logo. He once described the 13th on the course as “the best par five hole I have ever created”. Our thoughts go out to the families and friends of both.
londongolf.co.uk 26

In honour of Mr Nagahara, we will be planting a Japaneseinspired tree at the club. We have also taken the decision to rename our on-site cottage Kirby Cottage in honour of the late Ron Kirby.
JACK NICKLAUS 30 TH ANNIV ER SA RY O F LO N D O N G O LF C LU B playing London Golf Club in mid-February with my sons, on the way to South Africa, and we had a beautiful day playing golf. We had such a great time. A really fun day at London Golf Club. If you will allow me, let me share one other interesting or cute story I remember from my history with London Golf Club. Masao Nagahara, the original developer and wonderful man, had flown into London to meet us. Along with my wife Barbara, my daughter Nan and her husband Bill, we all went to see Phantom of the Opera. And we all ended up sound asleep, due to the jet lag.
I remember one of the most unique days I have ever spent
on a golf course happened at London Golf Club. I was over there one year in February. I was traveling with my family. We spent a day up in Scotland, working on the PGA Centenary course I designed at Gleneagles. Then, we came down to London Golf Club and actually played golf there the next day. Let me remind you, it is February and they cut the greens. The greens were frozen, but they were absolutely perfect. They were as fine as any summer greens I had ever played. Here we were,
londongolf.co.uk
London Golf Club is a golf course I truly enjoyed doing. Located in the south part of London, the site presented beautiful, rolling terrain on which to create a wonderful layout. I designed one of the golf courses there, which they call The Heritage, and the second, The International, was done by one of my former designers, Ron Kirby, who was a dear, longtime friend we sadly lost earlier this year.
The London Golf Club is truly a really good, strong golf course. It’s a great course and I had a wonderful time doing it. If you look over its history, London Golf Club has hosted several important professional events. That reflects on the golf experience there. When you can create a fun members’ golf course with variety and good golf shots that, when played from the right tees and with the right pin placements, can also host a high-profile event, you have done your job as a designer. Now, here we are celebrating London Golf Club’s 30th anniversary, and I think that is a testament to the club and a golf course that has stood the test of time. I offer my sincere congratulations to the membership and leadership at London Golf Club on this milestone anniversary, and offer my best wishes on the next 30 years!

AVOIDABLE GOLF RULES MISTAKES londongolf.co.uk 32
Getting penalised for something you should know or thought you knew isn't great. Jeremy Ellwood brings you Golf Monthly’s six eminently avoidable golf rules mistakes…
Sprinkler head on line on the fringe This is not an automatic relief scenario, much as you might like it to be if you wish to putt. You only get free relief if your ball lies on the sprinkler head or it would interfere with your area of intended stance or swing.
OUT OF BOUNDS – No part of the ball lies beyond that course-side edge.
the ball lies on the line. But if no part of the ball lies beyond that course-side edge then it is OOB. Don’t be tempted to finish off in matchplay If your short putt is not conceded in matchplay and your opponent’s ball now lies further from the hole than yours, you can’t simply go ahead and tap it in as you might do in strokeplay. That would constitute playing out of turn under Rule 6.4a as you don’t have the honour at that point. However, some courses will have a Local Rule that does allow relief if your ball lies within two clublengths of a sprinkler head directly on your line that is also within two club-lengths of the putting green. Failing to mark ball’s position before lifting it to identify it If you are unable to identify your ball, perhaps in thick rough, Rule 7.3 does allow you to lift the ball to make a positive identification if you genuinely need to. From 2019 onwards you no longer have to call someone over to observe you lifting your ball, but you do still have to mark its position first. If you fail to mark before lifting, lift it when not reasonably necessary, or clean it more than is required to identify it, you will incur a penalty stroke. Is a ball out of bounds if it’s on the line?
IN BOUNDS – The ball is the course-side edge of any white line on the ground
Failing to replace ball in original spot after you have caused it to move If you cause your ball at rest to move, there is still a penalty under Rule 9.4b, whether accidental or not. Yes, there are a few more exceptions now where there is no penalty, such as if you move your ball when searching for it, or if you move it accidentally on the putting green only, but in all instances, whether there is a penalty or not, you must replace the ball in its original spot before playing on. Failure to replace before next stroke will get the general penalty for playing from a wrong place – so two strokes in strokeplay or loss of hole in matchplay. Failing to indicate second ball is a provisional Rule 18.3 allows you to play a second ball provisionally under stroke and distance if you think your original ball may be lost outside a penalty area or out of bounds, but just saying, “I’m going to hit another,” or “I’m going to reload,” isn't enough. Rule 18.3b says you must make it clear that the second ball you are playing is a provisional ball, either by using those words or making it clear that you only wish to use it if you don’t find your original. If you don’t announce that the second ball is a provisional, it automatically becomes the ball in play under stroke and distance and you aren’t allowed to continue with the original ball, even if you find it in the middle of the fairway.
londongolf.co.uk
There is undoubtedly some confusion out there as to exactly when a ball is out of bounds (OOB). On the line somewhere doesn’t necessarily mean in bounds – it is the course-side edge of any white line on the ground (or the course-side points of any white stakes) that represent the boundary line. If even a small part of the ball overlaps that course-side edge, it is in bounds, even if most of
The good news is that there is no penalty for doing so. The bad news is that your opponent is within his or her rights to cancel the stroke and ask you to replay it in the correct order.

THINKING OUTSIDE THE SHOE BOX In the 30 year history of London Golf Club there has only been one FootJoy area sales manager, Nigel Duff. On the verge of his retirement we sit down with “Duffy” to reflect on a relationship that fits like a FootJoy glove.
Nigel ‘Duffy’ Duff FootJoy area sales manager
londongolf.co.uk 36
Duffy, you’ve been FootJoy area sales manager at London Golf Club since the very first day. Do you remember first hearing about the course being built and what were your first impressions? I remember it very well. I’d been at FootJoy (FJ) for about five years when the club started being built. There was a lot of talk locally about whether a premium venue would succeed in this location. I remember coming to see the venue for the first time and thinking how luxury everything felt; from the clubhouse to the golf course and the service. It was the perfect spot for selling FJ Classics and the relationship built up from there. How much has the club changed since those early years? The atmosphere and welcome has certainly evolved over the years. It now manages to be a high-end venue but it is also extremely welcoming; a combination that is difficult to get right. Whether it’s me, who is almost part of the furniture, or someone visiting for the first time, the reception from the staff and the members is always fantastic and you very quickly feel at home. There are no airs and graces and I love the variety of people that come through the door. You’ve been a regular visitor here over the years; holding stockrooms, meetings, and hosting members of the global FJ team. What is it that makes London Golf Club such a special place? It’s like a second home to me. While the venue and golf courses have always been great, it has always been about the people. I was at the club yesterday, loading up the car with products from my stockroom cupboard and every person I passed stopped and made an effort to chat. It makes a huge difference to the ambiance of a venue. My storage cupboard is the perfect example of that. A few years ago, my storage unit was broken into and Stephen Follett and the club were kind enough to help me out with somewhere to keep product. It was a fantastic gesture that I’ll always remember. You’ve mentioned that it’s the people that make a great club. Do any names spring to mind? There are so many to mention here. The current team are fantastic and the right people are in top positions. I’ve known Paul Stuart for over 30 years and when Paul took over in the shop that’s when the relationship with FJ really started to blossom. Simon Hilliard was also fantastic after that. Stephen Follet was a fantastic addition to the club all those years ago and has been great ever since. Recently Ben Stimson has been very supportive of the brand and myself. I can’t forget the girls in the office, Janet Smith and Becky who helps me with bookings. There are so many people I could mention, which just goes to show what a great team it is.
I wish him well on his forthcoming retirement and hopefully he will have more time for golf and fishing.
londongolf.co.uk
Duffy is a legend, he’ll hate me for saying it but having known him for over 25 years and most recently working with him at London Golf Club it's true! Nigel is always professional, insightful, and helpful, and his knowledge will be missed.
Simon Hilliard 37
Can you tell us about the FJ products that have sold well over the years? Crested apparel has always sold well and I take great pride in seeing the team wearing FJ every day. From a footwear perspective this really goes back to the variety of members I mentioned earlier. We see a mixture of modern classic, such as the Premiere Series, and athletic shoe models like HyperFlex selling well. The fact that 99% of gloves sold are FJ shows that the team understand how seriously we treat that category. Fitting days have proven a huge success at the club; not only for ensuring that members are fitted into the right shoes on the day but also in educating staff so that they can service members on correct fitting shoes day in, day out. With retirement on the horizon do you see yourself coming back for the occasional lunch or game of golf? I absolutely do see myself coming up for a game, but Mr Follett has offered me a position here a couple of days per week doing some marshalling and starting. I owe Stephen a huge debt of gratitude because to go from 35 years of work to nothing would have been a shock to the system so I want to do something. Being able to do that at my favourite venue will be a huge blessing. I’m looking forward to London Golf Club being part of my life for many more years to come.
londongolf.co.uk
I’ve had the pleasure of working with Duffy for the past two years and it’s been an absolute joy. He’s the perfect example of what every representative should aspire to be - reliable, trustworthy, engaging, and always proactive. I’m so happy for him as he starts his well-deserved retirement and I want to congratulate him on his incredible 35-year tenure at FootJoy. Ben Stimson

ondon Golf Club would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to all our members and their families who joined us for a wonderful afternoon of good food, great drinks, and some lovely entertainment. As guests arrived, they were greeted in the Long Bar with live music and shortly after escorted to their family tables in the beautifully decorated Restaurant Room. We hope that all the mothers felt the love and appreciation that they deserve on this special day. It was truly heartwarming to see families come together to celebrate the most important women in their lives. Of course, we couldn’t have made this event possible without the help of some special individuals. A very special thank you goes out to @philshortacoustic, who provided us with some beautiful live music that added to the festive atmosphere of the afternoon. And let’s not forget @spencerwoodmagic, who dazzled us with some spectacular magic tricks that left us all in awe. It was truly a day to remember, and we hope that all our guests left with happy memories and full hearts. We look forward to continuing to serve our members and their families and creating more memorable events in the future.
Please thank everyone involved at London Golf Club for a special afternoon. The three mothers in our group loved it. The food and service were fantastic. Mark Maidment

SISTER SPARKLE
It’s not the gold. It’s not the platinum. It’s not the diamonds (although admittedly, these do all help). No. The thing that sets Boodles apart is simple. It’s family. Boodles is a family business. For six generations, it’s been in the same family – and this, we believe, is what makes Boodles special.
T
he family bond is the strongest: it creates a culture of care and trust that allows our designers to take bolder leaps; our gem buyers to make braver choices; and our sales team to go the extra mile – often literally. And of course, Boodles jewellery is made to last for generations; each piece treasured by its first owner, but gaining emotional value and meaning as it’s passed down.
londongolf.co.uk 50
This year, our managing director Michael’s son, Geordie, joined Boodles – already home to his twin sister, Honour. So in honour of twins (so to speak), we’ve welcomed two sparkling sisters to represent the brand today: Lady Eliza and Lady Amelia Spencer – twin daughters of Charles 9th Earl Spencer and Victoria Lockwood and nieces of the late Princess Diana. Although not identical, the similarities between Eliza and Amelia are striking. “We are each other’s other halves,” says Amelia. “We have the exact
same taste in clothing, and will arrive at a dinner or meet up in the day dressed to match. When choosing outfits for an event, we’ve found the only way to do this fairly is to take it in turns who gets to choose first.” Raised in the Constantia district of Cape Town, but now living chiefly in London, both sisters are models with Storm, and have busy off-camera lives too. Amelia is passionate about wedding planning, and one of Eliza’s chief interests is interior design. They are ambassadors for United Purpose, a charity in Malawi which supports refugees from the Mozambican civil war, as well as championing causes for the Little Princess Trust. The sisters’ love for one another is self-evident, and both are keen on establishing family legacies in their own right. Amelia married earlier this year, and speaks passionately about the importance of family. “Family means everything to me.
I don’t know what I would do, or where I would be without them.” Equally at home in London, or Cape Town, Eliza and Amelia are often together, and speak every day. In the words of Amelia, “There’s nothing we can’t get through as long as we have each other.” And despite the celestial glamour these sparkling sisters each radiate, they are resolutely fresh and down-to-earth. “We’re happiest in activewear or T-shirt and jeans,” says Eliza. “And I love cleaning – and will happily do all the dishes!”
bond, and the idea of creating stories and passing down cherished values.”
How do they feel about being bold new ambassadors for Boodles? “I love everything that Boodles stands for,” says Amelia. “It’s a family business with heritage and creativity at heart. There’s an authenticity about that which I love.” “I really connect with the family values that Boodles embodies,” adds Eliza. “Family is all about unconditional love, and that’s something we’re excited to celebrate. Boodles pieces speak to that
And what’s your favourite piece of Boodles jewellery? “I love the Fern design necklace set from The Secret Garden collection,” says Eliza. “I wore it to the National Gallery’s summer party, and so many people complimented me on it.” “I love Raindance,” says Amelia. “Just iconic. Classic and original at the same time. And having spent some of the summer in London – I now fully understand its inspiration!”.
What’s important to you that you’d like to pass down? “The idea you should follow your instincts,” says Eliza. “We’re true Cancerians, with a strong sense of empathy and intuition. I think it’s important to trust and have faith in yourself.” “And embrace a sense of humour,” says Eliza. “Life’s sure to throw a few curveballs. It is important to stay resilient, but humour and kindness help keep things in perspective.”

AL ZORAH CITY THE PREMIER COASTAL DESTINATION Just a 25-minute drive from Dubai Airport, a thriving real-estate and golf project is being heralded as one of the elite beachfront projects in the UAE.
S
ituated on the shores of the Arabian gulf, one of the United Arab Emirates’ most exclusive and elaborate destinations is continuing to grow. Al Zorah City boasts everything guests and residents could need to live in luxury, and it goes without saying that exceptional real estate is at the heart of the project. Tourists and investors alike will find their ideal Al Zorah home; there is a property here for everyone, from beachfront villas to opulent apartments overlooking the acclaimed Jack Nicklaus golf course.
londongolf.co.uk 54
One of the jewels-to-be in an already impressive crown is ‘Seaside Hills’, made up of 90 apartments ranging from one to four bedrooms. These sleek, modern residences are each enhanced by their own balcony, while features like walk-in closets and private pools adorn some of the ground floor and the larger apartments. A pristine stretch of private beach is reserved for Al Zorah beachfront project residents in addition to many other state-of-the-art amenities. Just a short walk along that private beach, another of Al Zorah’s flagship developments is taking shape: the recently announced Beach Hills Villas.
Four rows of ultra-luxurious villas are under construction, tiered along the gentle slope down to ensure each property enjoys an unobstructed view of the azure sea to the west. Simple, yet striking interiors flow effortlessly into serene outdoor spaces. The single-storey villas are easily vast enough to fit four lavish ensuite bedrooms, living room, kitchen and parking – and that’s without mentioning the private pool and jacuzzi on each beach-facing garden. Jack Nicklaus - a permanent fixture alongside Tiger Woods and Tom Watson at the top of the list of golfing greats - masterminded Al Zorah’s renowned golf course, which opened in 2015. The beautifully landscaped layout weaves around two spectacular lakes, proffering unforgettable views and an engaging challenge for golfers of all abilities. Complementing Seaside Hills and Beach Hills Villas is one of the most diverse and extraordinary real estate portfolios in development today. Golf Villas are a perfect fit for lovers of the sport, while Fairway Residences directly overlook Nicklaus’ masterpiece from spacious balconies. The District 9 residential neighbourhood places a healthy lifestyle under the spotlight; Central
Park Villas form an upscale community placed between the picturesque beachfront and Al Zorah’s comprehensive range of amenities. Those amenities include a quartet of distinct eateries: sophisticated all-day dining restaurant Vinesse; Aquario, where expertly cooked seafood is served in a relaxed beachside atmosphere; the Litchy Sushi Lounge; and the Grove, offering authentic Emirati and Levantine dishes beside Al Zorah’s golf course. For holidaymakers, Al Zorah is best experienced from the award-winning The Oberoi Beach Resort, a five-star hotel where world-class hospitality meets stunning international cuisine. Marina One is the goto place for outdoor activities, from canoeing and kayaking to jogging and cycling. No trip to Al Zorah would be complete without a look at the enchanting Al Zorah Natural Reserve, a vast mangrove forest where flamingos and herons can be found. Whether you’re visiting Al Zorah for a luxurious getaway or moving permanently to the UAE, it’s this captivating range of amenities that makes it a destination like no other. DISCOVER ANAHITA GOLF CLUB’S SIGNATURE HOLES! Every year, Anahita Golf Club is recognised as one of the most beautiful courses in the Indian Ocean according to avid golfers who come to Mauritius to make the most of this unique golfing experience.
I
n fact, it is one of the few course of the island located on the edge of the lagoon, thus offering breath-taking panoramas from certain holes. Its architect, the famous Big Easy, aka Ernie Els states “The Anahita course has a wonderful natural setting. The spectacular rocky outcrops, majestic trees and views of the mountains and Indian Ocean are breathtaking…”. We take you on a guided tour of its most beautiful holes, where you shall create everlasting memories!
londongolf.co.uk 61
The three first holes are great appetisers prior to the magical experience awaiting from the tee of hole number four. At the edge of the fairway, Mauritius’ largest lagoon with inviting turquoise hues expands toward the horizon – an exquisite view making up for this hole’s difficulty as a wind facing 500m long par five! Although the large fairway seems easy to tackle at first glance, underestimating your focus will certainly come at a price…a good advice is to play safe to be able to putt for birdie on the stunning seafront green which seems to float on water. A postcard view for most golfers who enjoy pausing for a few seconds to take in the dreamy panorama before heading to the next hole.
This hole is aptly named, being bordered by coconut trees from the tee to the green – a tropical atmosphere on this rather short par four, whose elevated green can be tricky to reach. The recommended approach is to aim for the fairway first using either a fairway wood or a hybrid from the tee. You may then comfortably hit the green with a relatively short second shot and par the hole with two more strokes afterwards if you don’t play too aggressively!

Hole 17 is certainly among the most beautiful ones in the Indian Ocean. Picture yourself facing the lagoon, with the Île aux Cerfs on your left and coconut trees on your right. A paradisiac scenery! This 144m long hole par three is not that easy to reach
as it faces the wind most of the time. Keeping the ball low or using an extra club is key to reaching the green for a chance for birdie! However, regardless of your score, be sure to move onto your final hole with beautiful memories…
HOLE
17 Turquoise Lagoon This last hole is the perfect end to the Anahita golfing experience: a par five which can be reached in two given the wind is favourable but be wary of the seemingly and often deceptive ease of this 500m long fairway which doglegs to the right. Do not stick too close
to the ruins on the right on your first shot for a chance to hit the green in regulation. For your second shot, right-handers will be facing the mountains while left-handers face the lagoon. The trick is to avoid the bunkers protecting the long green right by the clubhouse’s restaurant to
end your round in style similarly to the pros who have played our course! Indeed, this green has witnessed the victories of South Korean Wang Jeung-Un and American Kurt Kitayama in the 2016 and 2018 editions of the Afrasia Bank Mauritius Open.

COSTA NAVARINO CASTS A MAGICAL SPELL ON GOLFERS “It is one of the most spectacular settings that I have seen.”
When a golf figure of the standing and reputation as two-time Masters champion José María Olazábal makes such a sweeping statement, you know you’re in for something good. The Spaniard first visited the site at Navarino Hills, the dramatic setting for his two 18-hole courses at Costa Navarino, back in 2018.
londongolf.co.uk 64
O
verlooking the historic Bay of Navarino in the Greek region of Messinia in the southwest Peloponnese, it is the sort of location that most golf designers dream of. Olazábal certainly realised the potential and set about playing his part in helping to establish Costa Navarino as Europe’s newest and most exciting golf destination. The two courses, The Hills Course and the world’s first International Olympic Academy Golf Course, were officially opened in February 2022 and global acclaim for the Mediterranean’s prime sustainable destination has been quick to follow, with the latest accolades including being named as the ‘World’s Best Golf Venue’ and ‘Europe’s Best Eco-Friendly Golf Facility’ at the 2023 World Golf Awards. A short and scenic drive from Kalamata International airport, Costa Navarino first opened its doors in 2010. The dream of ship owner and keen environmentalist Captain Vassilis Constantakopoulos to create a sustainable tourism development in his home region of Messinia, the last 13 years have seen ‘The Captain’s’ vision become a glorious reality. With the addition of the two new Olazábal courses to the two existing signature designs, The Dunes Course and The Bay Course, golfers can now enjoy the choice of four courses within a maximum distance of 13km.
The first layout to open in 2010 and measuring 6,018m, the par71 Bernhard Langer and EGDdesigned The Dunes Course offers spectacular sea and river views and incorporates linksstyle features in areas closest to the sea, while occasionally venturing into olive and fruit groves. Surrounded by olive groves and overlooking the historic Bay of Navarino, the par-70, 5,422m The Bay Course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jnr and meanders through three distinct settings – seaside, canyon, and grove – to provide striking contrasts. Golfers can also enjoy the award-winning earthsheltered Bay Clubhouse, which blends seamlessly into the natural landscape. Launched in partnership with the International Olympic Academy and the Hellenic Olympic Committee, the par-72 International Olympic Academy Golf Course routes around the western part of the Navarino Hills property. Measuring 6,366m, more than half its holes play along the ridge overlooking the historic Bay of Navarino and the Ionian Sea, providing spectacular sea views. Also designed by Olazábal, The Hills Course offers a scenic golf journey through nature, along the way passing old olive trees, ancient rock walls and stunning ravines that carve deep into the Kinigou Hills. Measuring 6,280m in length, the par-72 course
offers a good balance and variety, while myriad strategic options await, providing a good test for creativity and course management. Costa Navarino features a range of five-star hospitality offerings: The Romanos, a Luxury Collection Resort that is ideal for couples seeking a distinctive luxury holiday; The Westin Resort Costa Navarino which is the perfect choice for families; W Costa Navarino, which has a more vibrant atmosphere suited to groups of friends and the young at heart; and the Mandarin Oriental, the newest hotel which opened in August and offers guests a premium experience with earthsheltered villas and guesthouses designed for absolute privacy and tranquillity. All guests have access to a wide range of fine-dining venues, state-of-the-art sports facilities, world-class spa centres and a wealth of experiences to engage with the region’s culture, history and nature, and the customer experience set to be enhanced even further over the coming months. In addition, the Navarino Agora – which was also unveiled this summer – showcases a vibrant marketplace with a wide choice of shops, open-air stalls, street food, outdoor cinema, and live events while a new Watersports Hub at Navarino Bay offers a wide range of water sports including windsurfing, waterskiing and kayaking, while featuring state-of-the-art equipment and training options. www.costanavarino.com

INFINITUM: THE MEDITERRANEAN GOLF BREAK THAT HAS EVERYTHING Mainland Europe is a smorgasbord of sensational golf courses. Year by year, more and more bucketlist layouts explode onto the scene. But on Spain’s Costa Dorada, INFINITUM is making a strong case for itself as the modern golfer’s dream getaway: world-class courses, mouth-watering cuisine and the best beach club on the continent – what’s not to like?
W
londongolf.co.uk 66
hile the resort (a short drive from Barcelona) has all the luxuries and amenities you could ask for, the game itself remains at the core of the experience. Whether a relatively new golfer or a veteran playing off scratch, three vastly different golfing experiences offer more than enough variety to keep you on your toes. This diversity is a big draw for developing players, but it’s far from the only reason INFINITUM has been named ‘Europe’s Best Golf Venue’ three times in a row at the World Golf Awards. Though they are only a short buggy drive away, it’s hard to imagine two more different 18hole courses than the ‘Lakes’ and the ‘Hills’ on this serene corner of Mediterranean shore. The Greg Norman-designed Lakes course
snakes through natural Sèquia Major wetlands, meaning (you guessed it) water comes into play on almost every hole. The key to besting the Lakes course (without losing half of your balls) is to think carefully before every shot, but wide fairways and a generously flat surface balance the layout, keeping it easy to walk and enjoyable for players of all abilities. Hydrophobic players will likely favour the Hills, where splash risk is greatly reduced. Instead, this layout is characterised by long fairways and riskreward holes that will suit the strategically minded golfer. Constant changes in elevation keep players on their toes, but the rewards are spectacular views of the Mediterranean Sea. Hills designer Alfonso
Viador has masterminded layouts across the country; this is arguably his highest-profile project and, if you can’t resist a great view while you play, this is the course for you. Third courses at golf venues are often overlooked, but to do so at INFINITUM would be a huge mistake, not least because it is Norman’s second design at the resort. The ‘Ruins’ – named because it was built around archaeological remains dating back thousands of years - is widely regarded as one of the world’s finest nine-hole layouts. The course has earned a reputation for being challenging and the third hole here is arguably the toughest across the entire resort. The challenge is not one to be feared, however, as
INFINITUM is fully equipped with an exceptional line-up of practice facilities. You’ll find a driving range beside each of the 18-hole courses, as well as putting greens and shortgame areas to warm up or hone your skills in-between rounds. Practice facilities are so good, in fact, that national golf federations including Finland and Switzerland have chosen the venue for warm-weather training camps, entrusting INFINITUM with their most promising developing golfers.
wide commitment towards sustainability. ‘Sustainable golf’ has been a phrase on everyone’s lips for a long time now, but INFINITUM has pushed to be among the leaders in the industry. The Sèquia Major wetlands are actually a protected natural space and, while the Lakes course allows golfers to get close to some of the incredible species that inhabit the area, there is no question that the resort takes its conservational responsibilities seriously.
There are few venues that can offer three completely unique, prestigious golfing experiences in one place. INFINITUM is increasingly being seen as the ideal candidate to host major events, but passionate amateurs are guaranteed to find something to love at the Catalan resort, too.
The quality of the 45 holes on offer at INFINITUM is not up for debate, but it would be simplistic to say that those holes are the be all and end all. There are plenty of other feathers to the resort’s hat.
Recent course renovations have spearheaded a resort-
INFINITUM Beach Club (voted Europe's Leading Beach Club at the 2023 and 2022 World Travel Awards) is undeniably a highlight, divided into zones for
families to play in the pools and for adults to relax with a cocktail. Ten swimming pools – including sea-view infinity pools and semisubmerged sun loungers – are spread across the area, which is open from June to October. Four dining options across the resort serve a fusion of traditional and modern Mediterranean food, headlined by Flamma Beach Foodhouse, where guests can sample exquisite dishes on a terrace with some genuinely stunning sea views. Both clubhouses and the beach club have their own restaurants well worth checking out, too – whether it’s after a great round of golf or to enhance a day by the pool. If sand, sea and golf sound like the ingredients of a dream holiday to you and your family, INFINITUM should be at the top of your list. For more information, visit: www.infinitumliving.com

TUBES AND ANGE: MEET THE TWO BROTHERS TAKING THE YOUTUBE GOLF WORLD BY STORM From Sky Sports to golf YouTube – we sit down with friends of London Golf Club Tubes and Ange.
more than 250,000 subscribers: Tubes & Ange Golf Life. Back in the autumn, we caught up with the siblings for a few holes on the International Course to discuss everything from filming with Gianfranco Zola at London Golf Club to who their dream channel guest would be. Gents, take us back to the beginning of your YouTube journey. What kicked it all off? Tubes: Ange is the golfer of the family and he used to play when he was younger. He loved it, didn’t you? Ange: Yeah, I used to play with my dad. You were more football. Tubes: I was more football. I used to get the hump with it [golf]. I used to get bored after nine holes. Ange: Nine’s a bit generous, it was more about four holes, wasn’t it?!
I londongolf.co.uk 72
n 2018, Peter Dale – better known as Tubes – suffered a heart attack at the age of just 35. The incident happened several months after the popular Soccer AM crew member admitted on social media that he had spent the last 18 months coming to terms with his alcohol addiction. It was an addiction that dominated his life and almost killed him.
Fast forward five years and, in place of his addiction to alcohol, Tubes has become fixed on something else entirely – golf. Having both worked for Sky TV – Tubes as an on-screen interviewer and his brother, Ange, behind the scenes – the duo’s skillsets married up perfectly to help launch a popular and successful YouTube golf channel which now boasts
Tubes: Yeah, it was about four holes! I said it before, but when I admitted I had a drink problem and came out and said enough is enough, I’m an alcoholic, I was like, what can I do to see my friends and enjoy it. Because of my background at Soccer AM, I used to play golf with quite a lot of footballers. Ange said one day, ‘YouTube is getting quite big, what about a golf YouTube channel?’ I was full time with Soccer AM, travelling
up and down the country doing interviews and stuff like that. I phoned up a few of the boys like John Terry, Jimmy Bullard, Wayne Bridge, and said, ‘we’re going to try this thing out, would you fancy helping out?’ Do you know what, they were as good as gold, they were absolutely brilliant. They were like, of course we’ll help you. Ange suggested it and, as soon as we started doing it, I was like, yes, this is the one. Ange: I think the biggest thing that happened is Pete’s obviously great at interviewing footballers and I used to work at Sky as well, so I knew a lot of times when people film somewhere (…) there’s so much good content that just gets chucked on the edit room floor. So I was like, why don’t you do what you do best on a golf course and we do our own channel and we can decide what goes and what doesn’t go because it’s our thing.
Ian Poulter, Lee Westwood, Declan Rice, Aaron Ramsdale, Billy Horschel last week, it’s just amazing. The biggest buzz I get is when you get the thousands of comments about the guest, saying, ‘What a lovely bloke,’ ‘What a great guy,’ ‘Didn’t realise he was like this’. Ange: You want to give these people enough time to show their true personalities, rather than protecting themselves because they could say something wrong, and the media will portray it in a bad way. We do things in a way that makes them feel relaxed and they can be themselves.
How great is it to be able to do it as brothers? Ange: Amazing, it’s been amazing. It’s been great to see Pete focus on this now, away from drinking. It’s been a journey. It’s tough sometimes. We have brotherly squabbles when things aren’t going right but we’re all going in the right direction and we’re all trying to make it the best it can be and hopefully it’s working. Tubes: I love Ange. He’s my best mate as well as my brother, but we have had a couple of, not fallings out, but it’s the will to make it the best YouTube channel around because we

Tubes: Do you know what, it’s been amazing. Everyone involved is so proud because it did start with just me and Ange playing golf badly, going on Mum’s garage roof and trying to get a hole-in-one in the garden and stuff like that! Now we’re getting top-tier golfers coming on and a lot of Premier League footballers saying, ‘can I come on?’!

both want it so much. I think sometimes clashing is quite healthy. It’s been amazing. It’s been so good. Ange: I do think that comes from the Sky background because, working at Sky, it’s the pinnacle of sports production. Pete was there for 25 years, and I was there for ten. The standard is high. We’re trying to do TV-broadcast quality on a YouTube channel and obviously they’ve got cameras coming out their earholes; they’ve got audio equipment; they’ve got the best in the business and we’re trying to do it as a three-man band at the moment and trying to make it the best. We’re putting a lot of pressure and work on ourselves, but it’s getting there. Who’s the best golfer you’ve played with? Tubes: Jimmy Bullard is probably the best. I don’t know whether the people reading this watched the Ewen Ferguson episode… Ewen Ferguson is a DP World Tour pro who’s won twice on Tour and Jimmy Bullard’s performance against him was nothing short of sensational. The best golfer we’ve had on has got to be Matt Fitzpatrick, who’s gone on to become some golfer, which is all down to us, a US Open and he’s just won the Ryder Cup, so no worries about it, Matt. Ange: Cheques in the post.
londongolf.co.uk 74
Tubes: We had Billy Horschel on (in September) and he’s one of the nicest men I’ve ever met in my life. He’s so down to earth.
Tubes: I still get excited thinking about walking down the fairway with Gianfranco Zola because he was a massive part of my childhood. Ange: We’ve been used to being around famous people, footballers working at Sky, but the one time I was genuinely starstruck was him, just because I used to watch him train and go to the ground early and watch him warm up. He was just like a god to us because we’re both Chelsea fans, and to have him on our little channel at the time was an amazing day. Tubes: It was. I still listen to his note every once-in-a-while from the morning after, his voice note thanking me for having him on our channel. I was like, I just want to come through that phone and cuddle you. I love him.
Tubes: We’ve already had him on – Gianfranco Zola, here at London Golf Club.
But we’ve also had John Terry on. He’s also been massive for our family. He allowed us to put Dad’s ashes underneath Stamford Bridge, which is a massive thing to do for our family, so he’s up there as well.
Ange: That was a day to remember, wasn’t it?
But our dream guest that we haven’t had on, I would really
Who would your dream guest be?
like to have Rory McIlroy on. Rory, I think would be great. Ange: I’d like Tyson Fury. Tubes: I think we could get him. I think we can get Tyson Fury. Ange: Tiger Woods obviously, but he slated golf YouTube a few weeks back so he won’t be coming on. Tubes: We had to put a rule in when we talked about your dream caddie [on the channel], everyone said Tiger Woods, so we had to change it to you can’t say Tiger Woods because everyone says that. Who would yours be? Ange: Tiger Woods [laughs]. It would be Tiger, but without Tiger I would have Rory on the bag, or maybe Shane Lowry. Tubes: I love Shane Lowry. Shane Lowry said he was coming on. I’m gutted Shane Lowry hasn’t come on yet. When did you guys first come down to London Golf Club? Tubes: I’ll tell you exactly when we first came down here. It was with Liam Ridgewell. Liam Ridgewell was the first person
we filmed with. We did a pilot. It was good but we didn’t know what we were going to do, so the sound was bad, the wind was bad. Ange: It was a bad day. When you watch that it was like, this isn’t going to work, but it was very much a pilot. What happened the week after? Can you remember? He had a heart attack. The week after our first pilot and we were just getting going, all excited, and then that happened. Tubes: I had a heart attack and was out of action for about six months with that and then I said, ‘come on Liam, let’s film again’, because the content was amazing. I love Liam. Liam is a great guy, so he said, ‘why don’t we do it down at London Golf Club?’ and I’ve got to be honest, I’m not a massive golf fan, I didn’t know what London Golf Club was. We turned up. That drive, and that lovely lady at the front. I love her. She’s always here. I came down and played the golf course and I was like, ‘oh my god’, this place is incredible.
Ange: They’re both unbelievable, and also the condition. It’s very, very rare that anything is ever out of place on either course all year round. Make sure you come and play it. Tubes: Going back to that, when Jimmy was down here, he was bigging up the other course because he’s a scratch golfer. It’s just a brilliant place and I hope they have many more major tournaments here. Who else have you played down here with here? Tubes: We have played with Gianfranco Zola, Eddie Hearn, Frank Smith' Liam Ridgewell, Jamie O’Hara twice. Me and Ange have done a couple of videos with Bully (Jimmy Bullard), Ange did something with Bullard. I mean, if we lived 20 minutes closer, we’d be here a hell of a lot more. Ange: They wouldn’t be able to get rid of us. We’d overstay our welcome!
The people also help make it special down here, don’t they? Tubes: All the members, they’re all lovely. Some of them like the channel as well. You walk in and they’re doing the birdie dance. Basically, everything about London Golf Club is double decent or magmotional, as Declan Rice would say. The perfect place to film? Ange: Yeah, but they can’t film as this is our place to film! Get off our patch. Gaz Beadle, I’ve seen you down here with O’Hara. Get off our patch! Tubes: If you’re around the area you’ve got to come and play it. Ange: Filming or not filming, just come down here, it’s great. Tubes: Preferably not filming. Ange: Yeah, don’t nick our tee times!
I absolutely love the place. I love the clubhouse. I love the food. I love the people and the two golf courses are an absolute joke. Ange: London Golf Club has been absolutely unbelievable to us, always accommodating, always letting us film – even the Jamie O’Hara one when they let fans come in. We owe them a lot. What’s your favourite hole?
There’s quite a big debate here as to what’s the best course. I love this one that we’re playing on today, the International. I think they’re both absolutely grade A golf courses.

Tubes: It’s got to be the parthree on the International, the eighth, down the hill. I love it.

THE ON COURSE FOUNDATION AND THE SIMPSON CUP
'RECOVERY THROUGH GOLF' The On Course Foundation (OCF) charity supports the recovery of wounded and sick service personnel and veterans through golf coaching, competitive play and careers in the golf industry. It was founded in 2010 by John Simpson MBE, the former senior vice president of International Management Group (IMG).
S
impson, who himself only has one fully-functioning leg as a result of suffering polio as a child, was invited to do a speech at Headley Court in Surrey a year earlier in 2009, and, as someone who himself is disabled, was greatly moved by what he saw at the rehabilitation centre. So much so that he decided he needed to do something, and, given his contacts in the golf industry (he used to manage the likes of Sir Nick Faldo, Bernhard Langer, Vijay Singh and Lord Sebastian Coe during his time at IMG), he knew he was in a great position to do so.
londongolf.co.uk
And so the idea of OCF was born. Fast forward to 2023, and the charity is active on both sides of the Atlantic (it is a 501(c)(3) registered organisation in the USA, and a registered charity in the UK). It puts a big focus on restoring the self-confidence of these men and women by providing a sense of purpose after their injuries through the game of golf.
76
It offers regular, nationwide golf skills and employment training events where attendees receive
golf skills tuition from accredited teaching professionals, and employment advice from an array of sectors within the golf industry. OCF then facilitates practical training to achieve industry-specific qualifications, and assists in providing work experience placements and fulltime employment opportunities. Endorsed by the R&A, and formerly with the late Arnold Palmer as a patron, OCF has a growing number of injured members, most of whom had never played golf before their injuries. It has secured meaningful employment for hundreds of its members within the golf industry on both sides of the pond, and has many more undertaking work experience placements. Like all charities, OCF actively fundraises to support their activities and has partnerships with some of the game’s biggest companies including Callaway, Summit Golf Brands and FootJoy. They also rely on the generosity of golf club captains up and down the country who often select OCF as their benefitting charity. The golfing community has come together
to raise millions over the years and of course there is more to do and more veterans to help. OCF has also enjoyed a longstanding association with London Golf Club, whose support for the charity has been invaluable. In the past, a few On Course Foundation members have gained valuable work experience at London Golf Club during their journey to find employment in the game. And over the past five years, our course has staged the qualifiers for the Simpson Cup. The Simpson Cup is the annual marquee event for OCF, pitting 13 of the top players from the USA branch of the charity against their British counterparts. Six of these spots must be earned via the qualifiers (with the remainder of the team made up of captain and founder picks). The Ryder Cup-style tournament raises awareness and funds for OCF. It also showcases the unique position of golf as one of the few sports where players of all skills and abilities can compete on a level playing field, because of the official golf handicap system.
The Simpson Cup series is currently level at 51/2 points each, with the following venues having hosted the event to date: 2012 TPC Sawgrass 2013 Royal Lytham & St Annes GC 2014 Congressional Country Club 2015 Royal St. George’s Golf Club 2016 Oak Hill Country Club 2017 Royal Birkdale Golf Club 2018 The Maidstone Club 2019 St Andrews Links 2021 The Creek Club (postponed by a year due to the Covid-19 pandemic) 2022 Baltusrol Golf Club 2023 Royal Lytham and St Annes GC It will also be gracing some historic venues in the next few years: 2024 Shinnecock Hills Golf Club 2025 Royal St. George’s & Princes Golf Clubs 2026 Shady Oaks Country Club The 2023 edition at Royal Lytham finished in a tie after Team GB staged a dramatic fightback in the rain on the final day to retain the cup. It also marked the first tie in Simpson Cup history. But while the event is a fiercely competitive one, its power and reach goes far beyond the scoreline. The growth of the Simpson Cup also very much underpins the success of OCF, and the charity looks set to continue to go from strength to strength in the years ahead.

e are delighted to say that our Easter Sunday lunch on Sunday 9th April 2023 was a success for our members and their families. It is always a pleasure to provide a fun and enjoyable experience for everyone, and we are glad that our guests had a wonderful time. The delicious food, Easter egg hunt, and festive entertainment were all carefully planned to create a memorable afternoon for all of the family. Throughout the afternoon, children could enjoy having their faces painted and colouring Easter-themed artwork. Members and their families after being shown to tables in the Restaurant Room enjoyed a three-course carvery meal.
We then attended the Easter Sunday Lunch as a wider family (11 of us!). The family is always keen to return every year for this event and it didn’t disappoint.

A fun and relaxing time was had by all and again the food was outstanding - even to the point that a special request was very kindly accommodated at the last minute, with no fuss, to keep my brother-in-law happy (no mean feat!) STAFF TRADING PLACES
T
he London Golf Club team participated in trading places this year, allowing staff to work in another department for a day. Even the CEO took part in this exercise! It was both fun and useful, helping employees understand how each department functions and what their daily routines are.
Working in another department for a day can be an eye-opening experience that broadens employees' understanding of the company and leads to better collaboration and communication across teams. It also helps employees appreciate each department's challenges and opportunities, which is
crucial for the club as it strives to provide top-notch service to members and visitors. The initiative allowed employees to develop new skills and perspectives that can be applied to their daily work, making it a great exercise that benefits both the employees and the club.

TRUST IN TITLEIST londongolf.co.uk 82
Titleist has long been a trusted partner of London Golf Club and it is the brand trusted by more players than any other on the DP World Tour. Across nearly 50 events in the 2023 season, Titleist was confirmed as the number one ball, driver, iron and wedge*.

layers such as Mikko Ilonen and Ross Fisher enjoyed Tour victories at London Golf Club using the Titleist Pro V1 and Pro V1x and the brand was once again the overwhelming #1 ball on tour last season.
and the Andalucia Masters, Ludvig Aberg (Pro V1x) at the European Masters and Matt Fitzpatrick (Pro V1x) at the Alfred Dunhill Links.
It was a similar story for Titleist irons where the new T-Series range was debuted at the British Masters in June.
Throughout the season Titleist golf balls were played by 72% of the field – the nearest competitor had 11%. The start of 2023 saw the introduction of the all-new Pro V1 and Pro V1x balls which were put into play immediately by dozens of players.
Winners during the season included Adrian Meronk (Pro V1) who claimed victories at the Australian Open, Italian Open
at the British Masters, Todd Clements (TSR3) at the Czech Masters, Vincent Norman (TSR3) at the Irish Open and Max Homa (TSR3) at the Nedbank Golf Challenge.
Wyndham Clark (Pro V1x) and Brian Harman (Pro V1) also claimed maiden major victories at the US Open and The Open respectively. The momentum behind Titleist drivers continued following the introduction of the TSR models in 2022 with 37% of players during the season teeing it up with a Titleist driver – the nearest competitor had 28%. Winners included Antoine Rozner (TSR3) at the Mauritius Open, Daniel Hillier (TSR3)
Nearly 35 per cent of DP World Tour players put their trust in Titleist irons during the course of the season, the nearest competitor had 23 per cent. Players who put the new T-Series into play immediately included Jordan Smith, Antoine Rozner, Grant Forrest, Nathan Kimsey and Tom Kim who all made it into the field for the season finale at the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai. Titleist continues to dominate the wedge category with over 50% of the wedges in play at DP World Tour events being Vokey Design Wedges – more than all other brands combined.
We’ve hosted a number of really successful fitting events at the club and it’s been great to see so many members get dialled into the same products that are having success on the worldwide tours.

It’s been fantastic to see so many players on the DP World Tour put their trust in Titleist and see that momentum carry over into the amateur game.

EUROPE'S TRIUMPH: WINNING BACK THE RYDER CUP IN ROME

The Ryder Cup – the most exciting team event in men’s golf. Arguably the game’s greatest showpiece, the biennial tournament pits the best male golfers from Europe and the United States of America against each other over three days of thrilling action.
londongolf.co.uk 87
I
n September, the greatest in the world battled it out in the 44th edition of the event at Marco Simone Golf and Country Club, a glorious setting just 30 minutes from the centre of Italy’s capital, Rome.
londongolf.co.uk 88
Led by Luke Donald – who had replaced Henrik Stenson following the Swede’s removal from the role after joining LIV Golf – Team Europe were looking to recapture the trophy they had lost two years earlier at Whistling Straits, Wisconsin. Led by two-time Major winner Zach Johnson, Team USA arrived in Italy in search of their first victory in Europe since 1993. defeat Europe have suffered – and with six of the world’s top ten golfers in their ranks and ten of the world’s top 20 - many viewed this as the best chance in recent years for the Americans to lift the Samuel Ryder trophy away from home soil. But what followed on the opening day would soon crush any US hope. In the morning’s foursomes matches, Europe secured a clean sweep, winning the session 4-0. In the afternoon, Johnson’s team were unable to make the most of an impressive start to the fourballs as Europe finished the day with a commanding 6 ½ - 1 ½ lead. The afternoon’s opening match appeared to be heading
the way of the US, with the trusted partnership of Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth controversially left out of the morning’s pairings - looking like they had earnt their team’s first point. Viktor Hovland had other ideas, draining a 26-foot birdie putt on the final hole to tie the match. More drama would follow on 18, as Masters champion Jon Rahm - fresh off an eagle chip-in at 16 - saw his aggressive long-range eagle putt hit the back of the hole, before popping up and dropping in to tie the match. Justin Rose would then add yet another clutch Ryder Cup moment to his already extensive catalogue, sinking an eight-
footer to secure an unlikely half point for Europe. The day marked the first time the US had failed to win a single match in Ryder Cup history.
The US would go on to win the day’s afternoon session, but
Despite the US winning all four of the next matches, victory was ensured when Tommy Fleetwood won the 16th hole to go dormie two up against Rickie Fowler – the only player from both teams to finish the weekend pointless. Thoughts now turn to 2025, with Luke Donald handed the
European captaincy reins again. But the US will be looking for revenge at Bethpage Black - in front of what will no doubt be a raucous New York crowd before the famous tournament returns to Europe as Ireland’s Adare Manor takes centre stage in 2027. London Golf Club has been shortlisted by Ryder Cup Europe and UK Sport as a candidate venue to host the Ryder Cup in England in 2031 or 2035. The decision for where the Ryder Cup will be hosted rests with Ryder Cup Europe, who will consider the preferred English venue alongside other interested European nations for the 2031 and 2035 events.
londongolf.co.uk
Although the impressive Max Homa and Brian Harman won their team’s first match of the event on the Saturday morning, three victories from Europe in the foursomes – including a record 9&7 thumping for Hovland and rookie Ludvig Åberg over PGA champion Brooks Koepka and world number one Scottie Scheffler – ensured a substantial sevenpoint lead heading into the afternoon’s fourballs.
with a comfortable five-point lead heading into the final day a European victory looked increasingly likely. All hope of a Sunday singles comeback faded after a half from Rahm, and victories from Hovland, McIlroy and Tyrrell Hatton, left Europe just half a point away from recapturing the Ryder Cup with seven matches still ongoing.

e hope our members and their families enjoyed an afternoon celebrating all of the dads with grilling, games and some fantastic entertainment from Kelly Pepper. It was a wonderful way to celebrate the fathers and show them how much they are appreciated. The atmosphere was filled with joy and laughter as everyone gathered and enjoyed the festivities. There were great activities to choose from, whether you wanted to participate in a game of hoop toss or simply enjoy some delicious food from the grill. Kelly Pepper was fantastic, with members and their families enjoying some dancing. It's events like these that truly bring our club together and remind us of the importance of family and friendship. We are grateful to everyone who helped make this event possible and we look forward to more opportunities to celebrate the special people in our lives.

A
s we commemorate the 30th anniversary of London Golf Club, PowaKaddy takes huge pride in shining a spotlight on the brand’s 15-year partnership with the prestigious club. The renewal of PowaKaddy and London Golf Club’s rental partnership for 2023, the electric trolley manufacturers 40th anniversary year, marked a significant milestone in this enduring relationship. Unmatched rental quality At PowaKaddy, the brand has always been committed to pushing the boundaries of innovation and delivering the highest quality electric trolleys, both for wider consumer use and for its rental fleets. London Golf Club, as a European Tour venue and one of Southeast England’s most prestigious

As part of the renewed commitment, PowaKaddy was thrilled to deliver London Golf Club a 90-strong fleet of the brand’s cutting-edge FX5 GPS trolleys. These state-of-the-art trolleys replaced the existing two-year-old fleet, marking a significant upgrade in the club’s offerings. Graeme Wigham, PowaKaddy's sales director, shares his enthusiasm for the renewed partnership:

ETIQUETTE MISTAKES NEW GOLFERS SHOULD TRY TO AVOID londongolf.co.uk 100
Etiquette is a word with which long-established golfers are all too familiar, but it’s something less commonly used these days in a wider sense. If you’re relatively new to the game, you may or may not instinctively know what other golfers might expect of you. Below, Golf Monthly’s Jeremy Ellwood highlights seven ‘etiquette’ mistakes new golfers should try to avoid…
Walking across line on the green The truth is that, with spikeless and cleated shoes, this is perhaps less of an issue than in the days of the old metal spikes. And yes, in firm conditions the chances of you damaging the line your playing companion is about to putt on are pretty slim.
There can be many reasons for not being quick – but whatever the reason, we are all encouraged to let faster players through because it’s better for all concerned. That way, those a little slower – especially if they’re new golfers – aren’t constantly looking over their shoulders and feeling pressured, while those a little faster can enjoy their game at the pace they like to play at. Distracting noises Some might say that golfers are a pretty fragile bunch when it comes to distractions, but when someone else is playing, it’s always best to try not to do anything audible that might distract them from the shot in hand - for example, doing up a zip, rummaging in your bag for another ball, jangling coins and tees in your pocket or clanking your clubs.
But in very soft conditions, it can make a big difference when footprints are taking a while to resettle. It is far more courteous just to avoid your playing companion’s line on the putting green completely and hope they will afford you the same courtesy. Not being ready when it’s your turn Most golfers are keen to keep play moving at a reasonable pace, and part of that comes down to being ready to play when it’s your turn. As soon as the previous player has hit, you should be pretty much ready to go, other than when you’re on the same line so can’t be standing next to your ball. On the tee, if it’s your turn to play, that should be your priority. There’s plenty of time to mark your scorecard after you’ve hit. Getting the yardage, working out the wind and choosing a club can all be done in advance, so when it’s your turn you can just set up to the ball and play. Leaving bag on wrong side of green A good thought to have in mind as you approach a green is, ‘Where am I heading next?’ Leaving your bag on the wrong side not only delays your group but can be frustrating to watch for the group behind. Not letting faster players through
Not watching fellow players’ shots Following the flight of a golf ball if your eyesight is not the best or you’re playing straight into the sun can be difficult for the person playing the shot. The more pairs of eyes following the ball, the greater the chance of seeing where it went, finding it quickly and keeping play moving. Always try to help fellow players follow the flight of their ball, especially on the tee when everyone in the group is gathered around the same spot, and elsewhere on the course too as and when circumstances allow. Distracting shadows In bright, low sunshine, shadows can stretch a long way, so make sure your shadow isn’t distracting someone else, particularly on the green but also on the tee. A shadow on your line can be very distracting when putting, especially as any little movements, perhaps with a club or while scratching your head, become exaggerated when the shadows are long. So stand far enough away for your shadow to not become a potential distraction. londongolf.co.uk
Many new golfers are keen not to have people stacked up behind them, while others seem a little oblivious to it (this applies not just to new golfers of course!). But it’s important to try and keep everyone happy out there, especially on a less busy course where the group behind can see that they could be off and away if they could just get through your group.
Other sports may be played in a cauldron of noise, but it’s the sudden sound in an otherwise generally peaceful environment that can be so distracting in golf.

MORE THAN JUST A CLUB? THE SECRET OF LONDON GOLF CLUB With two world-class courses, excellent practice facilities and an impressive clubhouse, there’s much to admire about London Golf Club. But after 30 years of golfers passing through the gates, what impression has it made in people’s hearts and minds?
W
hat does it mean to be a part of it? What does it mean to be a member, a visitor, or part of the staff team? What does it mean, to you?
londongolf.co.uk 104
After turning off the main road, driving through the gates and checking-in at the security hut, you’re greeted by a long, sweeping driveway which soon rewards you with a view of the stunning fifth hole of the Heritage Course. As you continue along the road, splitting the eighth and 16th
fairways, the road dips and banks to the right, passing the beautiful 18th hole on your left as you are offered your first sight of the iconic clubhouse dominating the landscape up on the hill. You have arrived. If it’s your first visit, you’ll be impressed, maybe even awestruck. If it’s your hundredth visit, you might take it for granted. But to some, the drama of the view from the clubhouse doesn’t wain. If you need any more convincing, even
in the words of Paul Stuart, head professional of 30 years, who I would estimate has passed through those gates in excess of 7,500 times: “I’m pretty lucky to have this as my office”, he says as he gestures with his hand across the fairway of the first hole on Heritage. London Golf Club has hosted European Tour events for the world’s best golfers and received high praise for its condition, layout and quality as a venue. It’s been the venue
for hundreds of corporate hospitality events and charity days, raising countless funds for worthwhile organisations. For those fortunate enough, it’s a place to call their ‘home club’. What does that mean? A home club is a place to meet friends, host clients, celebrate with family and of course, to play golf. It’s a place you can visit whenever you like, get to know people’s names and become really comfortable in – a home from home. For many, it’s simply a destination to tick off your list and enjoy. But why London Golf Club? What’s the magic ingredient? Maybe the appeal is that it’s a modern club, forwardthinking in its approach and free from constraints of tradition and some of the rigidity of more historical settings. Maybe it’s the ambition the club has, to keep raising standards of golf, the facilities and the profile of the setting. What is your relationship with London Golf Club? Whether you’re a member, a guest, a visitor or a staff member, you will have a relationship with the club. To you, the relationship you have with it may be linked to the role it plays in your life. Is it a place of leisure, fun, competition, business?
You might be a new member or you may have been a member since the club began, but what has changed and what has remained constant? Friends may have come and gone, staff may have come and gone but the club remains. Is London Golf Club the driveway, the courses and the clubhouse, or is it the people, the relationships, the feelings and the memories? In my work as an executive coach, I encourage people to consider their impact on others by reflecting on what the people around them might see, hear and feel. The same concept can be applied to a setting. When you are at London Golf Club, there will be things you see, things you hear and things you feel. The impact it is making on you, is the feeling you have when you are there, as well as the feelings you have when you think about the club when you are away from it. So, when you are at the club, what do you see? Maybe you are at the club reading this, perhaps in the spike bar, or out on the terrace. Perhaps you’re at home or in your office. Wherever you are, take a moment to look around you and really think about what you can see. What is impact? If it’s positive, it’s the reason you have a good
time. It’s the reason you want to return. It’s the reason you’re a member or aspire to be one. It’s the reason you are proud to be associated with it. You will all have your own reasons for being part of London Golf Club. The truth is, that the special ingredient is personal to you. It will be different from those around you. Because the impact we feel is just that – it’s a feeling. Feelings are emotions and they are deeply personal, triggered by our experiences. Maybe you already knew the secret ingredient that makes London Golf Club so special. Maybe you haven’t given it any thought until now. But maybe next time you drive through the gates, turn your attention to being really present. Be conscious of what you can see, what you can hear and what you are feeling. A club is not a building, a golf course or a restaurant. It is a group of people, a set of feelings and shared experiences. Drink it in, enjoy it and make the most of it because you the members, the owners, the chief executive, the leadership, are all just custodians - the current group of people fortunate enough to have a personal relationship with London Golf Club.

RULES EVEN EXPERIENCED GOLFERS FIND CONFUSING!
Is there a penalty for accidental movement of my ball?
londongolf.co.uk
If you cause your ball to move in the general area, a bunker or a penalty area, you still get a one-stroke penalty and must replace the ball in its original spot before playing on. If you fail to replace the ball before playing, the penalty escalates to the general penalty for playing from a wrong place. Confusion has probably arisen here following a couple of exceptions that came in via the
108
Despite major revisions to the rules that came into effect in 2019, there’s no doubt that many golfers still find certain elements a little confusing - some rules more than others. Below, Jeremy Ellwood brings you Golf Monthly’s seven rules where there is the potential for confusion, misunderstanding or misinterpretation…
2019 Rules revisions in which you are no longer penalised for accidental movement of your ball when searching for it or on the putting green. What does ‘known or virtually certain’ mean? This phrase 'known or virtually certain' crops up a number of times in the rules whether to do with determining if your ball is in a penalty area, whether or not it moved or what caused it to move. While ‘known’ is fairly self-explanatory, what does ‘virtually certain’ mean? ‘Virtually certain’ means that all available information points to it
being in the penalty area, but there is a very small degree of doubt about it – 95% is the number. Obviously, there is a judgement call to be made here, but it does mean that if there is a large area of thick rough before the penalty area where the ball could also be, you can't just assume it’s in the penalty area. Where is my ‘nearest point of complete relief’? There is still confusion about nearest point of complete relief from an abnormal course condition (animal hole, ground under repair, immovable obstruction or temporary water), wrong green or No Play Zone. It’s often been said that people interpret ‘nearest’ as ‘nicest’ in the hope or belief that they’re entitled to a decent lie. But they are only getting relief from a specific thing such as a cart path (immovable obstruction) and the nearest point of complete relief is at the nearest point to where the ball is lying on the path, whether that’s fairway, semi-rough, thick rough, a bush or whatever. There is no free relief from any of these parts of the general area under the Rules - all you are getting relief from is the cart path. If you don’t fancy where you would have to drop as a result, you can always opt to play it as it lies or take one of the unplayable ball relief options under penalty. But what you can’t do is twist ‘nearest’ into ‘nicest' point of complete relief! Can I practise at all during a round? Between holes you may practise your chipping and putting on or near the putting green last played or the next teeing area (no bunker shots though) as long as you don’t unduly delay play. But if you practise in a way or a place not permitted, you get the general penalty under Rule 5.5, which is applied to the next hole if it takes place between the playing of two holes.
Can I repair a pitchmark on my line if I’m off the green? Pitchmarks on your line when you wish to putt from the fringe are a nuisance, but if the pitchmark is on the fringe and not on the putting green you can’t touch it. If you do repair a pitchmark on your line off the green, you will incur the general penalty under Rule 8.1a for improving the conditions affecting your stroke by altering the surface of the ground.
In the rare event that the pitchmark was created after your ball came to rest (e.g., it was made by a subsequent shot from another player), you would then be allowed to repair it as you are entitled to restore conditions worsened by another player, an animal or an artificial object after your ball has come to rest under Rule 8.1d. Can I not even putt from a wrong green? Any green other than the putting green on the hole you are playing is classed as a wrong green and you must (not may!) take relief under Rule 13.1f. This applies not only if your ball is lying on the wrong green, but also if you would be standing on it to play or it would interfere with your area of intended swing (e.g., your club might strike the green on your follow-through). You must take relief, and failure to do so will result in the general penalty for playing from a wrong place. Can I take stroke and distance if I overhit a putt?
Yes, it’s a rare scenario but if you putt into a lake or a horrible lie in a bunker, or send it trundling 80 yards back down the fairway, you would be perfectly within your rights to play the putt again from the same spot under penalty of one stroke rather than playing or dropping from where your ball has come to rest.
londongolf.co.uk
This is definitely a slightly unusual one, but you are permitted to take stroke and distance relief for a stroke played from the putting green – regardless of whether or not that would mean playing from nearer to the hole than where your ball has come to rest.

LONDON GOLF CLUB INSTALLS ADDITIONAL MOBILE DEFIBRILLATORS For every minute that a person is in cardiac arrest without receiving CPR and defibrillation, the victim’s chance of survival decreases by ten per cent.
T
hat’s why back in August 2023, we decided at London Golf Club that we needed to increase the number of mobile defibrillators on site. In addition to the one defibrillator already in place in the clubhouse, we have added another two to our roster, installing these in the halfway hut and the greenkeepers shed. Of course, we hope that they will never be needed, but with safety and wellbeing of members and our staff one of our top priorities, we are glad to have taken proactive measures for everyone’s comfort.
We are delighted to have installed two new portable defibrillators at London Golf Club. The safety and well-being of our staff, members and guests is a top priority for us. Having these additional portable life-saving devices readily available along with the defibrillator in the Clubhouse will give everyone peace of mind. We are grateful for the ongoing support of Almas Industries with our machines. Janet Smith, HR & office manager at London Golf Club
