Marketing and Public Relations graduate Alex Adamo came from Italy to study at London Met. He is now an entrepreneur, negotiation consultant, behavioural coach and CEO of his own company, Adamo Enterprises. “I really enjoyed the practical aspects of the classes and learned how to be business-ready. My friends who remained in Italy studying the classic subjects are knowledgeable about different theories but are rather inexperienced when it comes to business practice.”

Demi Owoseje is an Architecture BA graduate. She is now a furniture designer operating successful businesses in both London and Nigeria, and counts No 10 Downing Street, Prince Charles, Jamie Oliver and Jimmy Choo as some of her clients. “My staff comment on how knowledgeable and skilled I am because a lot of what I learned in architecture at London Met I still use today. I am not a practising architect but I design like one every day.”

Sports Therapy BSc graduate Sharon Heidaripour went on to become a rehabilitator of elite athletes for FIFA and Arsenal Academy. She now owns her own business. “The facilities at London Met were great and there were lots of opportunities to do work experience. The sports therapy clinic was great because we could practise hands-on work such as injury assessments, manual and electro therapy, and gym-based exercises.”

Earn while you learn We can help you find paid roles that will look fantastic on your CV. We have our very own in-house temping agency, Met Temps, that can help you find a job on campus. You can also become a student ambassador or success coach, both of which are paid roles and a great way to earn a bit of extra cash while you study. All of these positions are paid the London Living Wage and will help you to develop the skills employers are looking for. We’ll also give you access to a portal where external graduate, placement, internship and part-time vacancies are advertised. Gain experience through volunteering At London Met you can get involved in our vibrant volunteering programme and gain experience with communitybased organisations. Volunteering is a great way to get work experience, develop job skills and give your CV a significant boost.

Launch a successful business Interested in being your own boss or getting your business idea off the ground? Accelerator is our business incubator that helps students who are interested in starting a business at or after university. Being your own boss can also be hugely rewarding and is a jgreat way to take control of your future and do something you love—all in a really supportive environment. Based off-campus in the heart of London’s Tech City in Shoreditch, Accelerator is a thriving entrepreneurial community and is home to 30 innovative early-stage start-ups. Accelerator provides all the advice, support, networks, knowledge and resources you need to get started. It runs a number of initiatives to help students with a start-up venture idea. These include: • an idea and pitching competition in which students compete for prizes worth up to £30,000 • opportunities to sell your product at a London market • a 10-week summer programme that will help turn your idea into a reality Thousands of student businesses have grown thanks to Accelerator. n appetite for architecture and A interior design From Sir Christopher Wren’s famous St Paul’s Cathedral, the towering Shard, Walkie Talkie and iconic Gherkin, to the indulgent glamour of Indian restaurant chain Dishoom, there are plenty of architectural and interior designs to be inspired by in this great city. Many of them are also great places to go for dinner and drinks with your friends.

If photography is more your thing, you’ll have a never-ending supply of inspirational sights to capture, from iconic landmarks to gritty urban scenes.

Some of London’s buildings have even been designed by our lecturers and graduates. Damien Hirst’s gallery in Vauxhall was designed by architecture lecturer Peter St John and his architecture practice Caruso St John. It’s a work of art inside and out!

Alongside paid-for exhibitions, don’t forget that many of these fascinating institutions offer the chance to browse some of their collections for free.

Inspiration and opportunities for artists and photographers London is a hub of creativity, with galleries and museums for every artistic taste – visit the Tate Modern for contemporary art, photography and spectacular views of the Thames or head to Shoreditch and be greeted by striking street art at every turn. There is more inspiration on offer at the Tate Britain, which each year plays host to the innovative Turner Prize. Some of our graduates have even won the prestigious accolade! The Royal Academy summer exhibition, the world’s oldest open submission exhibition, is also a must see! As a creative type, you’ll be in great company in London – some of the best museums and galleries in the world are based here and the capital has upwards of 850 art galleries in total to explore.

Catch the travel bug Getting around London is so simple, with buses and Tubes (many of which run throughout the night), bicycles, overground trains, river cruises, cable cars and more to take you from A to B. It’s so easy to transport yourself across the city, in fact, that you find people hopping on a Tube even when they don’t have to. Yes, there really are scavenger hunts that send you on challenges around the Underground network and, yes, they are exceptionally fun! At London Met you’re within easy reach of all major transport hubs, from trains to explore the UK at weekends, to London’s many airports. International students can easily get home to visit their friends and family but there’s nothing to stop anyone taking advantage of a cheap flight to Europe. The Eurostar just down the road in St Pancras will also get you to Paris, Brussels or Amsterdam in a matter of hours.

Staying closer to home? Why not take a trip to the Museum of London and find out about the underground Blitz parties and London’s future transport? Getting down to business Every district’s a business district in London. London’s central business district is home to some of the biggest and most successful companies in the world, many of which have opened their doors to our students as part of our work-related learning module. The capital also plays host to lots of small independent businesses. Stroll around Spitalfields or Borough market, down Brick Lane or Notting Hill – these thriving marketplaces are buzzing with success and can give you your fill of homemade doughnuts, spicy falafel wraps and artisan pizza while you’re there… If you’re a budding entrepreneur, we offer plenty of opportunities to showcase your wares to the public. Accelerator’s Market Days and The Cass Christmas Cracker are opportunities for you to sell the products you’ve created and develop those all-important business skills.

London has it all for communications London is a communications hub and home to leading communications, PR and marketing agencies, as well as print and broadcast media, with TV stations including the BBC, Sky and ITV all based here. London leads the way in print journalism with everything from The Times and The Guardian – just down the road from us in King’s Cross – to the free daily Metro, Evening Standard and Time Out magazine. The latter is filled with great ideas for things to do in London to keep you busy. Did you know you can also apply for tickets for countless TV shows – all for free? Did you know that London Met has its own chair collection? The Frederick Parker Collection is a unique resource spanning over 300 years of British furniture making and design, from 1660 to the present day.

For something a little different, check out the Postal Museum – the first social network in London. The museum brings five centuries of communications history to life. You can even take a ride on the underground post train, deep below the Royal Mail’s Mount Pleasant sorting office that once kept the mail flowing through London for 22 hours every day.

Be entertained and entertain As one of the great theatre capitals of the world, London has plenty on offer to entertain you throughout the year – from the Bridge Theatre and National Theatre on the river to musicals in the West End. You can pick up cheap tickets on the day and up to a week in advance at Theatreland’s official ticket booth, TKTS. When it comes to comedy, London presents more live comedy than any other city in the world, from hosting new talent in the backrooms of pubs to the likes of Chris Rock and Steve Coogan in major arenas.

Shape your future as a designer in London Revel in the world of fashion, textiles, furniture and graphic design at a whole host of institutions in London. Get swept up in the buzz around London Fashion Week with displays from top British designers and see exciting design innovation at South Kensington’s Design Museum and the London Design Festival, the latter of which has featured work by graduates at our art, architecture and design school, The Cass, in recent years.

Golden opportunities for aspiring financial services professionals If finance is your thing, London is your city. Why not visit the imposing Bank of England and discover its history while learning more about money at the Bank’s museum? Here you can pick up an actual gold bar and discover why the building is on top of one the world’s largest stores of gold. Entry is free.

Over 250 festivals take place in London every year including the largest free festival, the Mayor’s Thames Festival, and Europe’s biggest street festival, the Notting Hill Carnival, which attracts close to one million people. There are also smaller ones near our campuses such as the Angel Canal Festival.

If you’re on a budget, you can catch a £1 movie in the Prince Charles cinema or see a play in the fascinating setting of the Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, where standing tickets can be bought for just £5. Strike a healthy balance If you’re interested in health, fitness or wellbeing, you have a wealth of options to choose from in London, from museums to health food festivals such as Fare Healthy, Balance and So Organic. The Wellcome Collection is a free museum and library dedicated to the relationship between medicine, art and life. For sports enthusiasts, London is home to some of the UK’s best-known sporting venues. Whether it’s cricket at the Oval, Twickenham’s rugby, football at Wembley or the world’s oldest tennis tournament, Wimbledon, there’s live sporting action for everyone to enjoy across the capital. Our sporting neighbours, Arsenal Football Club, are so close to our Holloway campus that we can look down on the Emirates Stadium from our very own Tower Building. If you’re interested in joining in the sporting action, you can meet fellow runners and enjoy a little competitive fun in local 5k and 10k Park Runs or join an American Football team at Finsbury Park.

Trial life in court What better place to study the legal and criminal justice systems than the British capital – home to the Supreme and High Courts, Metropolitan and London City Police forces, the Ministry of Defence, British Transport Police and the Ministry of Justice? Did you know you can watch an Old Bailey trial in the public galleries for free? A peek into politics and making a difference You can get a sense of London’s public institutions by visiting the House of Commons and House of Lords, both of which have public viewing galleries. If you visit the Commons on a Wednesday, you’ll also get to witness Prime Minister’s Questions. Intrigued by the secrets of Westminster? Want to learn more about the Houses of Parliament, the seat of the UK’s democracy? You can pay to join a tour, or if you’re a UK resident you can contact your local MP’s office, which will have limited numbers of tickets for constituents, to join the official tours for free. The British Academy at St James’s is the UK’s national body for the humanities and social sciences. Expand your knowledge even further by going to one of their many lecture series or symposia, with many available to attend free of charge.

London is also home to a host of charity headquarters, such as Save the Children, the British Red Cross, Action Aid UK, the British Heart Foundation, Unicef UK and Cancer Research UK. Why not volunteer and build up your CV while safe in the knowledge you’re making a difference to other people’s lives? Something special for scientists London recently became the latest city to launch its own Science Gallery. Located next to the Shard at London Bridge, Science Gallery London connects art, science and health to drive innovation in the heart of the city. Entry is free and exhibitions are open to everyone. The Science Museum is another must-see for keen scientists. Founded in 1857 the museum showcases amazing collections of scientific, technological and medical advancement from across the globe. For budding botanists, the city is full of natural spaces. Take a stroll through the beautiful royal parks, from pretty St James’s Park to the expansive Hyde Park. Get fit – for free We run an extensive programme of fitness classes with a variety of exercise, holistic and recreational sports including handball, pilates and boxfit. Our facilities are excellent and include gyms with state-of-theart cardio equipment, a full-sized basketball court complete with scoreboard, a dance studio and a fitness studio. We also run a health and wellbeing programme with personal training, mindfulness and yoga classes among others. Our staff are always helpful and friendly, and will happily give you information on the classes and how to become a member. Our architecture and interior design students are taught in The Sir John Cass School of Art, Architecture and Design (The Cass), where you’ll have access to your own studio space and be inspired by world-class architects and designers, while also having the opportunity to work on live projects and exhibit your work across the capital. Our architecture graduates often go on to complete their RIBA Part 2 and 3, allowing them to register as an architect. However, many of our other architecture graduates go on to join a wide range of creative professions. Furniture Designer Demi Owoseje Architecture BA (Hons)

Not all of our graduates go on to careers directly related to their degree, but the nature of our courses at London Met means you’ll gain transferable skills that you can take with you into any career. Demi is a graduate of our Architecture BA. She went on to set up her own company, Majeurs Chesterfield Ltd, which uses local resources to create sustainable, luxury furniture. She operates successful businesses in both London and Nigeria, and counts 10 Downing Street, Prince Charles, Jamie Oliver and Jimmy Choo among her clients. London Met represents all that I love about London: the culture, the diversity, the energy. You find that represented in London Met. The course is very hands-on. One of the reasons I like London Met is the focus is on practical work. Students are encouraged to travel and learn sustainable architecture, working with local communities and materials. In both my second and third years I travelled abroad for my modules. Our tutors took us to Germany and India to inspire our projects. India is still today one of my favourite trips. I learnt so much creatively and was exposed to a culture I otherwise wouldn’t have known. After I graduated I was playing with furniture as a hobby whilst still applying to architecture companies in London. I happened to sell one of my furniture pieces and decided to keep doing it. I continued selling furniture and ended up on TV and with many high-profile clients.

this meeting we were approached by a former client who said that Prince Charles would like to meet with us at our office. That’s why we can now count 10 Downing Street and also Clarence House as some of our clients. We now have a team of 30 people and growing. I moved to Nigeria two years ago to manufacture new furniture. I travel back to London on a regular basis, so I’m based between both countries. There isn’t a day that goes by where architecture is not influencing my design decisions and the way in which I run my business. London Met and architecture is probably the reason I have such a strict work ethic. My staff comment on how knowledgeable and skilled I am because a lot of what I learned in architecture at London Met I still use today. Read more about our Architecture BA on page 63. Our art and photography courses are taught in The Sir John Cass School of Art, Architecture and Design (The Cass) where our students have access to outstanding facilities. These include inspiring studio spaces and workshops, specialist facilities including wood, metal, plastic and ceramics workshops, fashion and textile studios, a photography studio and darkroom, and media production and digital manufacturing technologies. Our graduates have gone on to be successful in a wide range of mediums including painting, sculpture, etching and engraving, installation and more. Artist Samuel Eyles studied London Met’s Fine Art BA. With access to state-of-the-art studios and outstanding lecturers, he was able to find his own unique style and build up a body of work that is already making an impact in the art world. As well as exhibiting at numerous fairs and exhibitions, Samuel has had his work featured in The Guardian – opportunities that pave the way for his continued success.

I chose to study at London Met because it was running an extended degree with a fast-track foundation year starting in February, which was perfect timing for me (I’d decided I wanted to go back to education in January) – plus I was living in Limehouse at the time, so the location was ideal. There were opportunities to engage with industry professionals and enter competitions. The facilities were very good and they were able to aid me in every area of my practice. The relationships across the different departments are strong and everybody is friendly and happy to help. I was impressed. What I loved most about the BA course was the completely diverse collection of people on it. I also loved the tutors and the teaching style and during my time studying made strong connections and built important relationships. These are of course beneficial in both life and particularly in my career.

I took so much from my time at The Cass; the lecturers are incredibly engaged, the weeks are very focused and the studio sizes are fantastic. This is something that I know is lacking at a lot of other art schools. I learnt a great deal about my field through carefully crafted seminars and I was able to develop and evolve my style with excellent guidance and clarity. In the first year my good friend and fellow student James Johnston and I organised a life-drawing class for students to participate in every week. It was a good opportunity to gain experience in running a class (as we both had aspirations of teaching at the time) and also to improve upon technique and better our skills.

During his studies, Events Management BA graduate Damiano La Rocca became involved with Accelerator, a strand of London Met that offers students guidance for turning their ideas into a thriving business.

Damiano used the advice and mentoring he received at Accelerator to start his own business, Seable. Now a five-star business on Google, Seable creates active holidays for those with visual and physical impairments. At London Met I was given the tools and inspiration to start on my own rather than aim for a job as an employee. I took a module called Sustainable Tourism and, in my final year, I wrote my dissertation about accessible tourism and realised that there was a gap in the market. I submitted an idea to Accelerator and they approved it. Accelerator then gave me the tools to start my business and the academic staff gave me skills such as how to undertake research and presentations. The diverse background of the businesses at Accelerator keeps us up to date with the latest innovations in the different sectors, giving the basic knowledge for every part of the business and free advice from colleague entrepreneurs. The topics that London Met runs through Accelerator form the basis of what to do when opening a business. Everyone should know a bit of sales, marketing and accountancy in order to start a business.

Natalie graduated with a BA in Advertising, Marketing Communications and Public Relations from London Met. After graduating, she took advantage of the University’s graduate internships scheme, working in the University’s marketing department for a year. Since then she’s had a number of exciting marketing roles in London and is currently a Digital Marketing Executive in the City.

I was originally aiming to study animation with a gap year. I had a change of mind and advertising was where I wanted to be. After a long search, London Met appealed to me – a decision I have never regretted. All of the modules were very rewarding. During my degree I found myself revelling in the creative side. My dissertation was something I really enjoyed and still show off wherever possible. I feel I have had the right balance of support and independence given to me throughout my studies. Having an academic tutor to help me, plus access to the University’s virtual learning environment, Weblearn, was very helpful. Weblearn is where all leaders’ notes and class presentations are regularly updated and accessible before lectures or seminars. This was amazing for class preparation and studying for exams. I found the graduate Marketing Assistant post through London Met’s employment service, which I signed up for after graduating. The London Met careers service is very successful and extremely helpful — full of opportunities inside and outside of the University.

The intern programme is an initiative that is enabling graduates like me to get their foot in the door and really experience what it’s like to work for a big organisation. There were many experiences and skills that I gained throughout my internship, from improving my organisational skills to increasing my creativity. I worked closely with the University’s brand guidelines and maintaining the University website, gaining various IT skills across different types of software. Four months in, the internship already felt like an amazing stepping stone for me. I was thinking about where I want to be in the future and keenly applying for positions. With amazing hands-on experience, working so well with the team and enjoying what I did, marketing was where I want to be. I felt like I had learned so much and there were plenty of chances to take advantage of extra training, such as advanced content management system training. Winner of numerous awards including Trendsetter Designer Jeweller, Imogen Belfield studied our Jewellery BA (now called Fashion Accessories and Jewellery) at The Cass. Since breaking into the world of fashion and jewellery in 2010, Imogen’s covetable pieces have won the attention of many celebrities, including Georgia May Jagger, Uma Thurman, Nicole Scherzinger and Rita Ora. Imogen’s jewellery was also specially chosen for Cameron Diaz to wear in the latest Ridley Scott movie The Counsellor.

Imogen honed her craft whilst completing an internship with renowned jeweller Shaun Leane. During this time she was given the opportunity to help with exciting projects such as catwalk pieces for collaborations with Alexander McQueen as well as with Daphne Guinness. Imogen was also selected to be part of the British Fashion Council’s Rock Vault at London Fashion Week, curated by Stephen Webster. Imogen has been back to The Cass to give lectures on her work since graduating. Here she talks about her career and how London Met helped her: I set up my business in 2009 and since then I’ve managed to secure stockists with Harrods and Harvey Nichols, Kabiri, and also international stockists. I source all my materials from Hatton Garden – I use gemstones, I use minerals that I source from the Natural History Museum and also precious and non-precious metals. I use a lot of hand-carving techniques, and castings and mould-making techniques as well... and I show at London and Paris Fashion Weeks.

London Met was brilliant for helping me – I could really cross over between different departments, which is where I developed different mould-making techniques. I’m proud to be London Met because I was given the help to nurture my artistic vision and creativity but also help with how to actually start a business. I was given the knowledge that I needed to make the product and then take it into the commercial world – and London Met did that for me. The Cass is a brilliant London art school. I feel very honoured as my years of training, learning and discovering at The Cass were some of the best, and I am incredibly proud to be a Cass alumna!

My course offered so much variety and it provided opportunities to meet and work with all sorts of people from the industry. Already I’ve taken part in filming for an animated film being produced for Camden Council. I’ve also helped to run a theatre workshop for Clean Break – a women’s theatre company that helps to change lives, working with women who are ex-offenders or who come from a difficult background. Last year I attended the Bilingual Acting Workshop in Paris with one of my course tutors and some classmates. This was an intensive acting workshop with three amazing American tutors. I like that we get to meet and work with different people such as writers, directors, actors, producers and various teachers. I also like that we get to try out different things such as puppetry, acting, dance, voice, set building, tech, directing, marketing and dramaturgy. We get to visit amazing places too – I’ve been to the National Theatre Studios, the Royal Court Theatre and Paris to name a few. Working as a success coach for the past year has been fun and interesting. I wanted to be a success coach because I want students to have a friendly face to turn to if they’re worried about something. I think it’s good for students to have people to talk to without fear of being judged. The openness of London Met surprised me a bit. We’re encouraged to try new things and if they fail, then that’s ok! Because it’s a small group of students working closely together, we’re honestly like a little family, which is lovely!

Amy worked in customer service for eight years before joining London Met to pursue her dream of acting.

I’ve always wanted to be an actor and being at London Met has only cemented that further. However, working with companies such as Clean Break, I’ve discovered that I’m interested in drama therapy and helping people. At London Met you create a strong portfolio of skills to be able to do anything confidently in the industry.

Callum Morin is in his final year of the Sports Therapy BSc at London Met and is also the captain of the University’s rugby team. As part of his course, he’s gained a huge amount of valuable work experience that will help him in his future career.

Who wouldn’t want to study something they are really passionate about in the big city, where there is opportunity around every corner? When I researched sports therapy courses, London Met appealed to me as it had everything to offer, including great facilities and reputation. The facilities are great across all campuses at London Met. My campus is Holloway and they have everything there to make studying as easy as possible. The University has really good sports facilities including the sports hall and gym. There’s a whole array of different sports classes such as yoga and boxing to participate in and there are so many things you can do to fill your free time. The course is something I really enjoy and am really interested in. I wouldn’t change it for the world. If you’re interested in sports and helping people, I would really recommend it. We are studying to assess and evaluate the human body, specifically sports athletes, as well as creating rehabilitation programmes for injured individuals in a safe and controlled environment. There’s a mixture of tutorials and practical work, which is great to get hands-on experience. In second year, there was an opportunity to help charities as part of the London Marathon by providing massages to the runners who participated. It was a great experience to be part of that. As part of our third year there is a requirement to fulfil at least 230 hours at a work placement. We have the opportunity to practise in the sports injury clinic here at the University, which is great to help build your confidence. It’s really, really helpful, as you get to treat different injuries and perform different treatments.

The people you get to meet and help is a hugely rewarding part of the work placement. It also helps in building your confidence as a therapist, which prepares you for after graduation. I was made to feel really welcome and accepted into the sporting community at London Met and a year later I now find myself as the captain of the rugby team. Being part of sports at university is a great way to make friends for life as well as fill any free time you may have. From doing my work placement you find yourself realising what part of the industry you want to be a part of. I myself have realised that I would love to be part of a clinic-based practice or the sports therapist for a sports team. Lecturers at London Met are really helpful. It has amazed me how helpful they are. They go out of their way for you and really try to get the best out of you. You can always go to them and get really good advice. Also having work experience as part of my course has been great and will really help me in my career when I graduate. Studying something I am passionate about as well as taking up a sport and meeting loads of great people is what I enjoy about London Met most. I would recommend London Met 100%. Khalid went on to become a cargo adviser at Virgin Atlantic after graduating from our Airline, Airport and Aviation Management BSc. Here he talks about working for the British airline and how London Met helped him get there.

I am currently working as a cargo adviser within the cargo distribution and customer service department at Virgin Atlantic. My role includes facilitating customer requests and management of free-sale bookings. It also involves negotiating rates for ad-hoc bookings. This is quite a varied and interesting role – one minute I could be quoting on a 10-tonne shipment of flowers cross-Atlantic, the next I could be booking a small envelope from Johannesburg to London. Dealing primarily with business-to-business queries, it is very interesting to see another side of an airline. Virgin Atlantic is a very fun and enjoyable company to be working for. Not only is my role very interesting but the whole atmosphere is very positive at the Virgin head office, or VHQ as we call it. We have a huge open-plan office and we all hot desk. The best part of this, of course, is meeting colleagues from the different departments and making friends across all the different teams. We’re also quite well looked after – I have put on quite a lot of weight since starting here (I blame the doughnuts and sweets that are always shared across the office, whether it be because we are celebrating a birthday or just having fun – we very often run out of excuses for all these treats). We also have an on-site gym and we have our own wellbeing team who try to look after our health for us.

I don’t believe I would have been able to get here without the support of the London Met family. My lecturers were very supportive and helped me reach my true potential. The careers and employability team also provided some very important workshops that I attended; they were all about interview techniques and how to make my CV shine. On my first day I met a pilot who had actually studied at London Met quite a few years ago. He too told me about the support he received from London Met, which involved more than just academic knowledge. My lecturer Nick Coleman had worked for Virgin Atlantic in the past and he provided me with an insight into life at Virgin before I started, so I was sure this was the airline for me. Studying a degree at London Met is an investment in your future. According to the Office for National Statistics, graduates earn significantly more than non-graduates, so investing in a degree now can pay off later.

How much will my course cost if I start in September 2020 or January 2021? Tuition fees are regulated by the UK government. At the time of publication, tuition fees for 2020-21 have not yet been confirmed. Fees for each of our courses are published on our online course pages when they’re available. This includes fees for international students. Fees are reviewed annually and are likely to change to take into account inflationary increases. Please check our course web pages for fees before applying to the University. londonmet.ac.uk/courses Information for EU students At the time of publication, the UK’s plan for exiting the European Union has not been confirmed and therefore the fee status for EU nationals wishing to study in the UK from 2020 onwards is still unclear. Applying to us is easy. Simply choose a course, check the entry requirements and follow the relevant instructions below. How you apply depends on the course, whether you’re planning to start in September or January, and whether you’d like to study full-time or part-time.

Degrees starting in September If you’re from the UK or EU and want to study full-time starting in September, you’ll need to apply via the University and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS). The UCAS code for your chosen course can be found next to each course listing in this prospectus. You’ll also need a university UCAS code when going through the application process. Our code is L68. Degrees starting in January Many of our courses give you the option to start in January rather than September – check the online course page for details. To start a degree in January, you can apply directly to London Met or make an application through UCAS (see above). Please see the “Applying direct” section for details about how to make a direct online application. Part-time courses If you wish to study part-time (starting in either September or January), you can apply directly to London Met. Please see the “Applying direct” section for details. Please note, if you require a Tier 4 visa you won’t be able to study on a part-time basis.

English language requirements To study at London Met you must be able to demonstrate proficiency in the English language. When you enrol you are personally liable to pay your tuition and other fees in line with the University’s Fees Regulations (visit londonmet. ac.uk/regulations). If you have outstanding University debts, you will not be permitted to re-enrol at the University in future years and if you are in your final year of study and any part of your tuition fees is outstanding your award may be withheld and you will not be permitted to attend a graduation ceremony.

The University will take reasonable steps to provide the courses and services as described, however, the University cannot guarantee the provision of any course or facility. Some circumstances, such as staff changes, resource limitations and factors over which the University has no control, such as a change in the law or the level of demand for a particular programme or module (please note that this list is non-exhaustive), may result in the University having to withdraw or change aspects of the programmes, modules and/or student services detailed in the prospectus. Tuition fees are regulated by the UK government. At the time of publication, tuition fees for 2020 –21 have not yet been confirmed. If you have any particular concerns regarding any proposed changes, you must make the University aware of these as soon as possible.
