EL LONDON RUNWAY
EDITOR'S LETTER Welcome to the Fine Art issue! This month, we're celebrating art in whatever form it may take.
We have some exciting and unexpected editorials for you, playing with what fine art means: some in which the model becomes the art, some in which the art is something that happens to the photograph after it has been taken, and some that see art and beauty in the form of the body and clothes themselves. It's always exciting to see what our submitters can come up with when we challenge them to a more creative theme - we love it! It's making us even more excited for the Rose, Fragile, and Green issues over the next few months.
upcoming issues too - just a hint!
This month has been fantastic behind the scenes at HQ. We've been preparing for the Face of London Runway semifinal, which you can read all about in the next few pages - along with the names and photos of the finalists! It's been very exciting and we can say without any hyperbole that this semifinal was - as always - our favourite event of the year. It's so hard to beat for atmosphere, enjoyment, and the fact we get to really meet and know forty new models each time.
If you want to get your work featured alongside galleries like these, by the way, remember to visit us on Kavyar. You can find all the links you need on our website at londonrunway.co.uk, whether your priority is to submit an article, get interviewed as a model or business owner, or maybe promote an upcoming event.
We did get a bit more up close and personal with a few other models, however - with our inaugural London Runway Shoot Day taking place on the 1st July! You can see the results of that shoot later in the month on our Instagram. It was a lot of fun and the results speak for themselves. If you'd like to get involved in a shoot day yourself, all you have to do is head to our website - we are now booking for dates in late August and early September.

more - but for now we plan to schedule one shoot day a month, so there's always a chance to get stuck in.
LFW is rapidly approaching, but before that we have the London Runway Virtual Festival, which this year will be taking a stripped-back form. We need a rest for 2023, hopefully to return even stronger in 2024 - but do look out for the traditional interview with our semifinalists live on our Instagram page! Right, I'll stop talking quite so much now and let you get on with the issue. Don't skip over the galleries we have this month from Graduate Fashion Week - if there's anyone who knows how to turn clothes into works of art, it has to be students, who haven't yet entered the world of work and been beaten down into more commercial prospects. See you on Instagram over at @londonrunwaymag!
