The London Symphony Orchestra was formed all the way back in 1904, and our commitment to bringing great music to as many people as possible is just as strong today. In the words of conductor Sir Simon Rattle, who begins his first season as Music Director in September 2017, ‘It’s an Orchestra that simply will not accept that there is a ceiling to what it can do, or that there is a limit to the level of excellence it can achieve.’ We love seeing people come together to hear the LSO’s electrifying signature sound, and there’s no better way to experience it than live and up-close in the concert hall. Groups receive a warm welcome at our concerts: our tickets are great value, the booking process is simple, and our home in the capital – the Barbican Centre – is easy to reach. It doesn’t matter if you’re a classical music enthusiast or trying it out for the first time – from Broadway musicals to celebrations of the best of British composers, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. We hope you’ll join us soon! Fiona Dinsdale Marketing & Audience Development Manager
We have over 70 concerts a year for you to choose from, from full immersive evenings of music to lunchtime performances and bite-size concerts starting at 6.30pm. There are plenty of on-site cafÊs and restaurants in the Barbican Centre if your group want to enjoy something to eat before the performance. There’s a free cloakroom, you can buy drinks and ice creams during the interval, and we hand out free programmes to guide you through the music.
