Hi! I’m Lone (Lona), Welcome to my virtual world - where art and life intersect. I'm an award-winning author, self-taught fine art photographer and creative adventuress, driven by a deep sense of curiosity, freedom and social justice. I hail from Denmark, but have lived and worked in Europe, Nepal and for the past 16 years in San Francisco––a path that's given me a profound understanding of culture on female identity. I thrive on the crossroads of art, body, literature, culture, consciousness and change. For more than a decade, as a photographer, I’ve photographed thousands of women, witnessing their most personal unveiling and transformation of self-perception. I'm currently completing a book about the exploration, called Unveiled. My first book is Seeing Red: A Woman's Quest for Truth, Power and the Sacred (SW 2012) I have a background in political science, and have worked for CARE Int'l in Nepal, the KaosPilot University, Idegarden media company etc.
