Don’t stop.... believin’.... we shouldn’t play favourites but this Hat Trick son is extraordinary. He puts himself at the centre of attention and earns it with natural middle, mass, tons of hip, our top gainer of 4.64lb ADG. Raised by a good Ruttan cow, a Dam of Merit.

DRT LONESOME SURVEILLANCE 395M

Raised by a Ruttan cow who’s a Dam of Merit, he’s homo polled, homo black, and correct in his conformation while maintaining tons of stoutness and maturity.

DRT LONESOME ESQUIRE 406M

Fertility and longevity are keys to profitability. The bulls on offer are raised by females that are productive, raise a calf every year, and maintain sound udders and feet. In 2024, the Canadian Gelbvieh Association ranked Davidson Gelbvieh as number one in the registry for owning 39 Dams of Merit and 4 Dams of Distinction. Lonesome Dove Ranch was recognized for owning and breeding 20 Dams of Merit and 1 Dam of Distinction.

Grand Champion Bull at Farmfair 2021 in Edmonton, Alberta as a yearling, Reserve Champion Mature Bull at Farmfair in 2022. Optimist continues to get well-deserved attention by many seedstock and commercial cattle producers!! A daughter claimed the Champion Purebred Senior Heifer Calf Championship at Farmfair 2022, on her maiden voyage from home. An all-around bull that awed us with his disposition, sound, fluid movement and progeny. Unfortunately, we lost this sire in 2024.

DAVIDSON RED OAK 20M

Optimist genetics in fine form in this stout made late January born bull, he might have been born a twin, but that hasn’t stopped him from growing...722 lb adjusted weaning weight and a 3.42lb ADG and a 3.66lb WDA!! His fertile Dam was named a Dam of Merit in 2024, his fertile half sib DVE 4L, who we retained, is set to become a Mom for the first time very early in the calving season too! Consistent producers, these Bartender bloodlines have us paying attention! We have retained 6 Bartender bred daughters! He has many sons at work in the commercial and seedstock cattle industry including most recently in North Carolina, and another bull at Davidson Cattle Co. Our high selling bull at our 2024 bull sale was a $16,000 Bartender son!

Stones selected an awesome full brother at our 2023 bull sale for their seedstock operation. This bull has that mass and boldness in his make up, is homozygous polled and homozygous black! We have retained a full sister as well — DVE 82L. These Driller females, like 44M’s dam, keep on working their hearts out, year after year!

Out of a female we’ve appreciated for her capable attributes to our program, and shine once again in this homozygous polled, homozygous black sale bull! He has a well laid in shoulder and is long sided! She’ll be 12 years old when she calves at the beginning of the season — with 10 calves to date, one a year for her lifetime! Two of her sons are currently working for commercial operations, one at Blohms and another at Kapellers and we currently have a daughter DVE 119G set to calve once again in 2025!

This is the season finale for Lonesome Yellowstone and these are his last sons on offer. Best known for siring smooth-fronted, well-balanced and attractive sire prospects. Each bull sells sale day along with a valid semen test as provided by a licensed Veterinarian. We suggest you buy full mortality and fertility insurance on your bull purchases. A fertile bull can lose his ability to settle cattle therefore prudent management of your breeding bulls’ overall health is very important, es-

pecially throughout the breeding season. Watch your young bulls breeding activity early in the breeding season and don’t let an older bull intimidate his actions.
