Macon is a proven calving ease bull that Lonesome Dove continues to use for breeding heifers, and year after year, he covers lots of females early. Macon-sired bulls work equally as well on mature cows, and his calves hit the ground running. His sons feature sensible birth weights, and he packages dimension and capacity on a moderate frame. Macon also has a lot of top end females in production and they all have a good foot under them, including DRT Lonesome Champagne 32F who won Reserve Champion Mature Female at 2021 Canadian Western Agribition. The average actual birth weight of his 2022 sale bulls is 79lb, and they posted an average ADG of 2.73lb and average WDA of just under 3lb.

Vernon and Eileen stepped up their game spending $19,000 to add Cobalt to their bull battery in 2016! A son, DVE Davidson A+ 103E won Res. Jr. Champion Bull Calf, at the 2017 Canadian Western Agribition. A Cobalt daughter was selected by Black Cow Farms, Nebraska during the 2018 NWSS for $10,000.US. We purchased Casanova in 2016 to use on our heifers, and have found him to be a super easy calving sire. He had a lot of eye appeal, was moderately framed, easy fleshing and abundantly muscled. Unfortunate due to an injury on pasture,we sold Casanova. His calves are all off first calf heifers. His sons on offer averaged ADG 3.21 WDA 3.28

Lonesome Dove Ranch purchased this top selling herd bull from Thackeray Land and Cattle, he was 2017 Reserve Senior Bull Calf Champion at Canadian Western Agribition. At birth, his calves have energy and vigour and they catch a few gears as they grow, making strong gains. Epic's 2022 sale bull offering had an average actual weaning weight of 734 lbs, they gained an average WDA of 3.32lbs and an average daily gain of 3.21lbs.

Once again, Eastman sired an impressive number of bulls in the pen, and the 2022 sale is the final opportunity to own one. His bulls feature depth and capacity that remind us of grandsire Jumpstart. We used Eastman on second-calvers again so his progeny are all out of young upand-coming moms. His sons have stretch and growth and are well-tempered. We also have a large, even set of young Eastman females that are promising. His sons had an average actual birth weight of 84lb, and posted gains of 3.33lb ADG and 3.15lb WDA.

These are limited edition genetics available as this year is Julio’s final group of sons after losing him to injury following the 2020 breeding season. Julio offspring are smooth-made, streamlined, and have an attractive head. He had tremendous length of body and he put that length and growth in his sons while maintaining their moderate frames. His daughters are feminine and we are looking forward to them as first-calf heifers in the 2022 calving year. The 2022 sale bulls sired by Julio averaged 85lb at birth, had an actual average weaning weight of 712lb, and an avg ADG of 3.29lb and avg WDA of 3.27lb.

Our bulls are fed a balanced ration with vitamins and minerals, as developed by our nutritionist, to achieve best health and longevity.
