Our broad enrichment programme of student-led clubs and societies encourages you to widen your horizons and develop valuable skills that will complement the knowledge gained in your classes. Your wellbeing is a priority for us, so take a break and get involved in something you enjoy!

Do you love being centre stage? Our Performing Arts department adapted to the online world, hosting half-termly Virtual Open Mic performances live-streamed on YouTube. Not a born performer? Take control of lighting, costumes, or set design. If you prefer being behind the camera why not join our Short Film Making club, or write an article for our student Film Magazine, The Long Lens. Celebrate your heritage or religion at one of our diversity groups such as the Muslim Society, Christian Union or Black Peoples’ Society. Want to see a change in the world? Have a debate with our Feminist Society, Marxist Society or Politics Society. Develop your teamwork and leadership skills with the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award, stretch your brain power at Chess Club or lose yourself in a fantasy world at Dungeons and Dragons Club. Whatever your passion, you can find your people here.

From fitness newbies to aspiring Olympic athletes, we can offer you a fantastic range of indoor and outdoor sports facilities. What’s important to us is that you’re able to take care of your physical and mental wellbeing, that’s why we encourage all students to participate in keep-fit activities, using our extensive sports facilities. Indoors we have a four-badminton court Sports Hall, Sports Lab and a gym with a wide range of equipment; all available for you to use throughout the college day. Head outdoors to our wonderful field space where you can use our all-weather pitch, football pitch, rugby pitch and hard courts.

Looking for an easy way to make new friends? Look no further! Joining one of our team sports is a great way to meet new people and build lifelong friendships. Our Football, Rugby, Netball and Hockey teams all train or play competitive fixtures every Wednesday afternoon. Why not join the Histon Scholars, linked to Histon Football Club, or our Basketball Academy, linked to the Cambridge Cats Basketball Club? You will combine a high-performance football or basketball programme with your studies - our basketball team compete in the Academies Basketball League, the second highest tier in English basketball for colleges at U19 level! We are especially proud this year of our Indoor 24 Cricket Team who won the regional AoC Sport tournament, our Men’s 1st Football team who are current champions of the Cambridge University League, our Women’s Football team who came 2nd in the AoC Eastern Region division and our new Women’s Basketball team who won their first ever home match against our local rivals with a score of 45 - 18!
