Jimmy’s Winter Fundraiser With the cost of living crisis, homelessness is becoming a problem that affects more and more people. Last winter, we ran a fundraiser for Jimmy’s in an aim to help the homeless community in Cambridge. It was so successful, we have decided to do it again this year! You can do your bit by making just a small donation. We will be accepting donations from 4th to 18th December. Click on the poster to see which items you could donate.

Degree Apprenticeships Workshop Our careers team have organised several events focused on Degree Apprenticeships. Natalie Philips of the ASK Programme delivered the most recent workshop, and two apprentices from Deloitte talked about their experiences. More workshops are available for January, which you can book here.

Open Mic Open Mic is back, and the next performance will be taking place on Wednesday 13th December. All students are welcome, and the performance will be live streamed on Long Road’s YouTube channel. If you are keen to get involved, please email Liz Rowlands at erowlands@longroad.ac.uk.

Winter Fair Speaking of our new Youth Social Action Apprentice, Charlotte will be organising a Winter Fair in the Student Centre on December 18th. This will be an excellent chance to socialise with friends and get in the festive spirit before the Christmas break on 19th December. It is also your last chance to make someone’s Christmas better by donating to Jimmy’s.
