Longton apartments reflect this and an exclusive lifestyle where luxury meets technology featuring a fully integrated home automation system, myiButler and a dedicated social media. Architecturally exclusive only to Avantra apartments is the world first "Streets in the Sky" design. Living the true "designer lifestyle" dream is never easier than when moving into a Longton apartment. Longton has recently to opened a concept store in the heart of the Sydney CBD selling exclusive lifestyle products, technology as well as luxury apartments. Our aim is to inspire people to surround themselves with beautiful and innovative products that will enhance their lifestyle. We will also introduce to you exclusive to Longton, myiButler services. Creating a beautiful dream home with gorgeous furnishing and homeware is something most of us desire. Your home should be a reflection of you and your lifestyle. Longton Lifestyle Hub will be featuring beautiful products from Pia Wustenberg, Nason Moretti and Martha Sturdy.
Pia Wustenberg was nominated in 2012 for the Elle Decoration British Design Awards for her Stacking Vessel Collection, which has continued to grow with larger pieces and new Collectors Editions. Her 'Transformed Stacking Vessels' collection is currently on show at No. 10 Downing Street, London in a selection of the best in contemporary British craft and design thinking. Available at Longton Lifestyle Hub. NasonMoretti is one of the leading glassworks designers on the Venetian island of Murano. A stunning product range of decorative table objects such as pitchers, fruit-salad/ice-cream bowls, candlesticks and fruit stands, all manufactured through different processes and in a variety of different shapes. In these genuinely unique products the traditional skills of master glassmakers are integrated with modern concepts of design and aesthetics to create premium home-decor articles. Heir to craftwork traditions introduced and developed on the island of Murano many centuries ago, since its earliest days NasonMoretti have developed their own flair for recognising the value of stylistic trends and then reinterpreting them in their own, very personal way. Martha Sturdy has always been inspired and guided by the elements. Materials like mineral and salvaged Cedar find expression in her work — offering a reflection of a landscape that is itself bold, clean and strong. Each piece is an investment, in aesthetic and function that will be passed down through the generations. Created by hand quality, integrity of design, and balance are signature elements of a STURDY piece, each individually made to be enjoyed, touched, used, and seen for years. Because as Martha has taught us, creativity and beauty should be evident in everything we do. A well articulated space supports peace of mind, and peace in general. Please enjoy our first edition, we look forward to bring more in lifestyle to you.

Streets In The
SKY!
World-first initiatives in Mascot apartment building.
Dream Apartments

world first architecturally designed exclusive to Avantra Streets in the Sky
A new 309 apartment development on the border of Alexandria and Mascot will be one of the world’s first high-density complex to deliver 100% natural ventilation and natural light to every habitable room.
Avantra has four multi-level buildings – one crowned with a spectacular swimming pool. Each building is interlinked by an atrium and has a rooftop communal garden with impressive views.
The breakthrough Avantra turns traditional architecture on its head by housing the lift cores within atria open to the sky. On alighting from a lift, residents will access their apartments via suspended walkways, sheltered from rain by a glass rooftop lid.
Avantra is being developed by Longton on an 8,762m² site at 659 - 669 Gardners Road, just a three minute walk from Mascot train station. Longton set tongues wagging last year when it launched another futuristic development at Mascot, Futra, which offered a living environment in the spirit of "The Jetsons". Avantra is even more technologically advanced.
The full-height atria resemble windpipes that capture and circulate cool air to apartments, reducing the need for air-conditioning. The windpipes will also help naturally illuminate each building, and allow views to show through. Architect Brent Marvin of MD+A describes the overall design concept for Avantra as "Streets In The Sky". “We’ve created a world first by duplicating the concept of the small suburban street and reassembling its elements vertically,” Mr Marvin said. “We have six metres between front doors which is typical of a small lane, and we have pocket parks at each level where residents can sit in the sun. Within the building we have areas to work as well as communal socialising and entertaining zones with full-scale pools and barbecue areas. But instead of these elements being spread out at ground level we have designed them in the sky.”
It will include an electronic concierge service called myiButler, a social media network called iCommunity, and a fully integrated home automation system. myiButler is an app loaded onto an iPad which comes with each apartment to order goods and services. Goods – such as groceries, clothing and dry cleaning – are delivered to secure, intelligent, on-site lockers which can only be accessed by authorised residents and suppliers using unique passcodes. Delivery automatically triggers an 'alert' on the resident’s iPad and mobile phone. On collection, the myiButler registers that the particular locker is free again for use.

Service providers, such as cleaners, chiropractors and babysitters, can only gain access to an apartment by the resident creating a temporary passcode which they can change at will. This breakthrough technology means that instead of spending time running around to shops and service providers, everything comes to the locker or apartment. No stress. No battling traffic. No parking fees or fines. Apart from the convenience, myiButler ensures goods and services are cheaper because of myiButler bulk purchasing rate. myiButler centralised billing system will issue residents with just the one fullyitemised bill each month for payment in one lump sum. Longton’s iCommunity uses Twitter and it's Chinese sister, Weibo, to create a virtual neighbourhood. Residents will exchange messages about local events, community initiatives and classified advertisements, while the system will post daily updates on weather, news, sports, finance and cinema session times. These messages will not only appear on a resident’s iPhone but be displayed in multi languages on an electronic noticeboard in the lobby of each Longton building. At Longton, we understand our residents’ needs to connect and be part of the community.

Apartments at Avantra come in a wide variety of layouts, including ‘flex’ units which have large, dedicated studies that are flexible enough to be used as a bedroom. The interiors have been designed by Archer + Wright in two dramatic colour schemes that can best be described as ‘urban luxury’. Premium finishes include tiles, plush broadloom carpet, wide-plank timber floorboards, European kitchen appliances, Grohe tapware, stone features in bathroom and heated towel rails. Avantra purchasers will also have the option of buying an Italian furniture package upgrade from Italy to complement the light and dark interior schemes. Longton have worked closely with Poliform to craft unique furniture solutions worthy of our prestigious projects. Master bathrooms at Avantra will be pure indulgence, with over-sized shower and heated towel rails. Middle Garden (Artist Impression)

Roseville
Revolution Innovative apartments expand accommodation options in traditional North Shore suburbs.

The Uptown is an exclusive boutique development of six beautiful buildings named Uptown, Midtown and soon to be released One Victoria Park
Roseville – typified by large houses on leafy blocks – is set to enter a new era of innovative apartment living. The progressive Longton Property Group is planning a 220 apartment development called The Uptown which will contain features not previously available in this traditionally conservative area. Longton is best known for two futuristic developments at Mascot, Futra and Avantra, which have pioneered such technological breakthroughs as myiButler and iCommunity. While Longton is using the same architectural firm, MD+A, the design for Uptown is low-rise to blend into the picturesque, pocketsized suburb that marks the transition from the busy Lower North Shore to the much quieter Upper North Shore. Uptown is on a 13, 700m 2 site in Victoria Street, opposite the prestigious Roseville College and just two minutes walk to Roseville Railway Station and a shopping strip. Just a few minutes further – yet a world away in terms of lifestyle – is the hustle and bustle of the Chatswood CBD. Uptown is an exclusive development of six buildings in individual garden settings. Architect Brent Marvin of MD+A describes the design as “timeless and sophisticated”.
“We’ve provided deep landscaped setbacks from the street, and retained the concept of private gardens for ground floor apartments,” said Mr Marvin. “As well as the large apartment balconies we’ve set aside resident-only private park for socialising”. Apartment interiors have been designed by Archer + Wright in two dramatic colour schemes that can best be described as ‘urban luxury’. Tiles, broadloom carpet and wide-plank timber floorboards enhance the premium feel, while inclusions such as European kitchen appliances, stone features in bathrooms and heated towel rails to make living just that little easier. Each apartment comes with an iPad to control the lighting, television, cinematic quality 3D theatre and surround sound system. The iPad is also loaded with Longton’s patented myiButler app for ordering goods and services. Another feature of Uptown will be Longton’s social media system, iCommunity, which allows neighbourhood information and residents’ messages to be displayed on interactive, electronic noticeboards in the lobbies of each building.

Uptown offers a new accommodation choice for Roseville that is likely to appeal to families and business people who want the convenience of being close to train and bus transport, as well as mature couples who want to downsize without downgrading. Roseville is a much sought-after suburb with limited real estate opportunities because residents cherish the easy lifestyle and tend to stay in their family homes long after their kids have left home. While some contemporary apartment developments have been built recently in Roseville, nothing matches the smart features and high levels of quality and comfort of Uptown. Uptown was launched in three stages - Stage 1 ‘Uptown’, Stage 2 ‘Midtown and Stage 3 ‘One Victoria Park’ . The apartments come in a wide variety of layouts, including ‘flex’ units which have large, dedicated studies that are flexible enough to be used as a bedroom.
All apartments have one or two security car spaces and lock-up storage rooms. The serenity at Roseville makes it hard to comprehend that we’re on the edge of one of Sydney’s most vibrant precincts. Only 1.3km away, Chatswood has the largest retail precinct outside the central CBD, one of the most active business centres, and is a food and entertainment mecca, so you can live peacefully in Uptown while still being close to the action. When you consider that the Sydney CBD is just 8km away, Roseville is a very convenient location for people of all ages.

The World Is At Your
Doorstep
The best aspect about Mascot, is its location. It’s perfect for living in Sydney.
Longton has launched a new iApartment development in Mascot, ‘Australia’s most intelligent apartment building’.
Mascot is located to the south east of Sydney city. Just 8mins by train to the CBD and 5mins to the airport.
“In short, we have designed a high performance yacht as opposed to a rusting oil tanker”.
Longton has launched a new iApartment development in Mascot, as ‘Australia’s most intelligent apartment building’. Our philosophy is that technology will only add value if it is simple and efficient.
MD+A Architects are among the growing number of creative companies have moved into the area, a major growth pocket in the city.
Designed by MD+A Architects, the 54 units are being called Futra iApartments. Each is programmed to electronically check Sydney’s weather and modify room temperatures accordingly. Entry will be by fingerprint recognition, and an electronic noticeboard in the lobby displays social media information, residents’ tweets and select messages. The iPad is the single most important piece of ‘furniture’ at Futra. It controls the majority of electronic functions within each iApartment, including the lighting, blinds, television, cinematic quality 3D theatre and surround sound system. The 12-storey building is designed by Brent Marvin of MD+A in Mascot, Sydney. “With such a technologically-enabled building we sought to shift from convention, move out of the design comfort zone and not be constrained by prevailing methodology,” said Mr Marvin.
Energy saving initiatives include a ‘smart thermo controller’ which learns a resident’s living habits then calculates the most efficient way to reduce energy consumption. A keyless building, access to the carpark and the lobby is through a credit card, while entry to individual apartments is by a fingerprint or passcode. Interior design features include a Manhattan-style fireplace and stone features on benchtop joinery. The master bathroom is pure indulgence, and may include with a sumptuous freestanding bath, ceramic wash basins and natural stone flooring. A feature wall in the bedroom and living room adds a sense of luxury, and we’ve paid special attention to mood lighting to create comfortable, cosy interiors.” Mascot, the home of Futra iApartment, you don’t need to drive, everything is here: shopping, cafes, & restaurants, nightlife, bars, sports centre, parks all within walking distance to the heart of Alexandria. Your complete lifestyle.

Alexandria is best known as the fashion outlet prescint of Sydney. Shop for the latest trends in fashion and accessories. There are several indoor sports and fitness centres surrounding Futra. A New Way To Shop For Your Dream Apartment Shop 1, 413 George St Sydney, NSW 2000
A property developer has recently open a concept Lifestyle Hub in the heart of the Sydney CBD selling exclusive lifestyle products and technology as well as luxury apartments. Longton Lifestyle Hub in George Street will showcase locally and internationally-sourced homewares, giftwares, accessories and gadgets within an apartment setting. Adding further lifestyle value will be Longton-developed technology such as myiButler and iCommunity.
“The last thing we want is to offer a similar style of development to the run-of-the-mill, so we search the world to source the best technology, services and homewares."
The lifestyle collections include: • Utility & Utopia by Pia Wüstenberg (Finland) • EK Design by Katharina Eisenkoeck (England) • Progetti (Italy) • Nasonmoretti (Italy) • Eclectic by Tom Dixon (England) • Lunares (Mexico) • Fink (Australia) • Martha Sturdy (Canada) • Artisans Connect (South Africa) • Normann Copenhagen (Denmark) • Eva Solo (Denmark) • Architect Made (Denmark)
“Our aim is to inspire people to surround themselves with beautiful and innovative objects that will enhance their lifestyle. We will also introduce them to technology that will make their lives more secure and give them more leisure time.” Longton is undoubtedly Sydney’s most freethinking developer. The Lifestyle Hub will make apartment/house hunting and relaxed living more accessible to busy city workers who can inspect the display during their lunch breaks rather than wasting their weekend leisure time. Scale models and floor plans of the company’s apartments will be showcased, with realtors being able to assist with specific details. This year Longton launched two luxury residential developments, Avantra apartments at Mascot and Uptown apartments at Roseville, which feature an electronic concierge service called myiButler, a fully integrated home automation system, and a dedicated social media network called iCommunity. The Director of PR & Marketing, Sajonara Sucic, said the company slogan, ‘No respect to status quo’, summed up its desire to be trendsetters in the local market. “We strive to set trends, not follow them, so we create Australia’s most advanced apartment buildings,” Ms Sucic said.
• Gaia & Gino (Czechoslovakia) “Longton Lifestyle Hub is a holistic way of bringing beauty and innovation to the people of Sydney,” said Mark Dennis, the Director of Retail and Branding at Longton.

PIAWUSTENBERG Pia Wustenberg was born in Germany. She grew up with dual nationality (Finnish mother, German father) and from an early age split her time between her two home countries. At the age of 15 she moved to England, Surrey for her final school years, followed by a foundation degree in Glass, Ceramic and Metal Design at Surrey Institute of Art and Design. This was followed by three years at Bucks New University, studying Furniture Design and Craftsmanship. In 2008 Pia graduated with a collection of mixed media furniture, having spent her final year focused on wood construction in combination with other materials (ceramic, glass, leather). She moved to North Karelia, Finland, to set up her studio piadesign and work with local materials and craftsmen.

EKDESIGN Katharina Eisenkoeck is a designer whose practice involves furniture and product making with a sculptural simplicity and functionality influenced through the distinct use of materials. Eisenkoeck shows a great interest in the revival of ancient techniques and craft processes brought into a new context as specifically shown in her work with leather. Her approach to design can be described as a practical research through material experimentation in order to create objects that are on one hand long lasting but also show character of uniqueness through the making. Eisenkoeck’s carpentry techniques started at an early stage of her career at the Art and Design School Ortwein in Graz. Before settling into the profession of a designer she experienced an education in architecture at the Technical University in Vienna. A year later she went on to complete her Bachelor at Central Saint Martins College in BA Arts Design and Environment in London.

ARCHITECT MADE Our collection comprises of design objects designed by Denmark’s most recognised architects such as Utzon, Kjærholm, Juhl, Vedel and Karpf. Often our architects' ideas are seated deep within their heart, until finally they see the light of day. According to Kristian Vedel, the ideas from the inside emerged and developed over a period of time until he simply couldn’t help it. He simply had to execute them by bringing his designs to life in order to share his ideas and passion with others. All of the architects have designed their objects with firm belief in simple and sophisticated aesthetics, while positioning functionality at their core. This process resulted in a clear crystallisation and conceptualisation of the product in its purest, simplest and most refined form. This is the key characteristic of the essence of Modern Danish design, which all of ARCHITECMADE products encompass.
ARCHITECTMADE specialises in the production and promotion of products designed by architects from the 1950’s and 1960’s. Kristian Vedel designed his family of BIRDs - children, parents and grandparents back in 1959. Though only the small BIRD was set in production, it quickly became one of the most successful Danish wooden products from the 50s. Today, the entire expressive BIRD family has been re-introduced. They are all handmade by a small wood turner in Denmark who only uses high quality smoked and natural oak wood. By tilting their heads in virtually any direction, the BIRDs can express every frame of mind - happy, sad, curious, alert, etc. The bodies can be turned upside down making it either a male or female.

Turning Trays In 1956, Finn Juhl designed the Turning Tray. Today the original trays are on display at Finn Juhl’s house in Charlottenlund, Denmark, now a museum. ARCHITECTMADE is re-launching the TurningTrays based on the original drawings by Finn Juhl. The trays encompass many of Finn Juhl’s characteristic designs, especially the curved teak frame and corner joints are Finn Juhl trademarks. Just as the wood on the TurningTray’s corners fits perfectly right in, so will the Tray in your daily life. With it’s duo glassy finish, you can be sure to put the Tray to use at any time of the day – bright and early for breakfast with its lighter side up and also later in the evening for an elegant dinner when the guests have arrived. The TurningTray has no handle bars, making it very practical and easy to use for everyone, regardless whether they have the small fingers of a child or full grown adult’s hands. No more trying to fit in those narrow spaces, just pick it up and go! Its teakwood finish ensures an outstanding longevity, promising to be there with you for every kind of occasion.
Turning Trays The trays are handmade in teak and laminate. They are available in 3 sizes and several colour combinations.

simple and figurative wall clock
Its simple design and distinctive shape makes Watch Me stand out as it brings timeless swathes of colour into your room. Watch Me is inspired by a colour swatch that forms a fan when the colours are folded out. Time passes, whatever we do, but Watch Me adds colour to the various times. Watch Me comes in multi, pink, green and blue. The inspiration for the latest three colours was taken from the block colours of the fashion world, which Normann Copenhagen now brings into the interior design sphere. Hang it in any room that needs a bit of colour, or put several Watch Me wall clocks together, showing the time in different time zones, for example.

Krenit Bowls
Light House is an iconic lantern for candles, based on the silhouette of the archetypical Nordic house with added color, style and humor to the familiar and popular product. Light House wishes you welcome like an illuminated landmark in the night. Light House's iconic design makes the expression both modern and classic. Wish your visitors a welcome with one or more Light Houses in pink, lime, turquoise, white and black.
The Whiskey Glass is an exclusive glass that combines elegance, pleasure and function in a simple, Nordic design. The Whiskey Glass conveys an elegant expression, and the entire experience revolves around how you hold the glass in your hand. Aroma, temperature and volume all come together and the wide opening completes the indulgence. Create a true Mad Men feeling with the Whiskey Glass.
Brick is a geometrical cushion with a modern and elegant feel that plays with shapes, colours and materials. Inspires by patchwork, Brick is made up of various structures and shades of textile cut into simple squares and geometrical shapes and is a simple way to add a dash of colour to the home. Brick is produced in ten different colors making it easy to find a cushion that suits your style of interior decoration. Use a single cushion as an eye catcher on the sofa or bed.
With a simple and pure expression, the Krenit range is a contemporary classic which enables a perfect interplay between function and aestheticism. Its characteristic sharp edge creates a balance between material and form, giving the bowl its modern expression. Even its shape has set the trend for later designs of bowls, and the shape of the bowl is just as perfectly suited to the modern home today as then.

SUCKUK Laser cut plywood lamp It's a bulb... but not as you know it. This clever lamp is shaped like a giant lightbulb and houses a lightbulb. Designed by Barend Hemmes, it's made from laser cut wood, which leaves a crisp burned edge and creates a satisfying, waffle-like glow. Either hung from the ceiling or laid on its side, the Wooden Bulb will add a little tongue-in-cheek humour - as well as light - to any room.

VERREUM PRAGUE
Verreum collaborates with both Czech and international designers for the creation of its products, and besides the production of its own unique silvered glass with glass blowing and silvering facilities in Novy Bor, cooperates with the rest of the Czech glassworks with the mission of sustaining the glass making tradition of Bohemia. For many years, glass manufacturers had been trying to produce silvered glassware using a number of compounds; early pieces used mercury amalgams based on techniques used for silvering mirrors, but these proved unsuitable. Silvered glass was first made in the 1840's and patented in England in 1849 and in the USA in 1855. From 1860 onwards, the main production of silvered glass came from glassworks in Bohemia. Silvered glass is double-walled glassware with a silver coating inside the walls.

The tea set Chado for Verreum is designed for the celebration of drinking tea. The origin of its name Chado is based on the Japanese designation of tea ceremony. It is a set of archaic and simple designed objects consisting of a tea cup, milk jug, tea pot, cookie bowl and a metal tray. Chado is created for a ritual.
STURDYLIVING Born and raised in British Columbia, Martha Sturdy has always been inspired and guided by the elements. Materials like mineral and salvaged Cedar find expression in her work — offering a reflection of a landscape that is itself bold, clean and strong. Martha has always been enthralled with the scale of nature on the West Coast. Never delicate, but always pared down, her work finds a balance in its weightiness and a resolve in its proportion. Each piece is an investment, in aesthetic and function.
Boulder Bowl A well-designed bowl should always balance form and function — and the result should express a subtle harmony. From salad bowl to art piece you can toss your keys in, these objects become familiar luxuries to cherish for years.
Glacial Platter Yes we believe in simple living and eliminating excess — but a sharp bliss also comes with luxury. These platters create a stage for both. Durable and utilitarian, yet exquisite in the way they reflect and refract the light. The perfect platform to have a cake and eat too.

Menu Menu is a Danish design company founded in 1976. We do design. All day actually. Occasionally at night as well. Collaborating with some of the most talented designers in the world we deliver high quality design with an aesthetical Scandinavian look.
Dropp! Carbon Bowl
Tango Candle Holder
Always keen to create something unique and extraordinary, Menu’s newest bowl design will contrast spectacularly alongside your fruits - whether they be red apples, yellow bananas or green pears - their colour and shape will be accentuated by this quirky design. Made from silicone - that fabulous, durable material – it’s soft and flexible yet sturdy enough to hold a bowl full of fruit.
There’s nothing quite as romantic as a candlelight dinner. Except, maybe a slow tango, under the moonlight. Menu’s Tango Candle Holder combines both of these things. It’s a candlestick inspired by a dancing couple – look at the way the two, shiny stainless steel pieces are perfectly intertwined. They’re the perfect pair – ideally suited to each other, they exude a grace and elegance all of their own. They’re the very essence of romance.
Rubber Vase (Black) An ingenious Scandinavian design, the vase is made from a soft, pliable, yet surprisingly sturdy rubber, in all sorts of beautiful colours. It’s a simple design that manages to look elegant, modern and unconventional all at the same time, and is sure to brighten up any table you put it on and match beautifully with any bouquet. Plus you can even fold the spout in to create a bowl-shaped rococo-style vase, depending on your mood!
Wine Decanter The elegant Menu Winebreather Carafe adds 10x more oxygen to your wine in under 2 minutes. Simply press the decanter onto the top of an opened bottle of wine and flip it over so the wine pours into the decanter. You can serve the wine directly from the beautifully designed carafe, or flip it back over once it's done to pour the aerated wine back to serve directly from the original bottle. The Menu Winebreather Carafe is the most effective aerator on the market.

Reality Brush Vase
Cast from the perfect bunch of ripe bananas, this unusual, elegant and sculptural bowl holds a good assortment of fruit and looks beautiful with or without fruit.
The Alarm Dock uses a nostalgic product language to meet the progressively thin and disappearing profiles of consumer electronics.
Brush Vase was originally intended to hold paint brushes, but we thought filling it with flowers was a beautiful idea too, so we've included a glass insert to hold water.
Reality Hand Hook Cast from the designer's hand. C'Mere can hold a coat, keys, or anything that needs a friendly hand. Includes wall mounting hardware.
