Time is a precious resource. We don’t know how much we have, and there’s only so much of it in our lifetime. Investing my time to participate in the Longview Chamber’s 40 under 40 adds value to my personal and professional life and gives me the opportunity to engage, reflect, and connect, peer-to-peer with other local business leaders. My biggest takeaway is learning to take small steps to create a transformative trajectory in my life and wellbeing. Have fun along the way!

We hope you will participate in the 40 Under 40 Executive Network Series. This program is designed to provide young professionals the opportunity to gather and grow personally and professionally through leadership training and relationship building. This past April the first workshop featured Dr. Vicki Johnson who walked participants through how to measure the aspects of wellbeing; spiritual, physical, relational creative, vocational, and self-accountability.

I joined 40 under 40 because I believe it to be a wonderful opportunity to expand on the skills and knowledge necessary to be better not only in business but in personal and family growth as well. It is also a more personal way to meet new, like-minded individuals.

I have made new connections with people I hope to grow closer with over the rest of the series. Vicki did a fantastic job explaining the importance of our own well-being so that we would then be able to share our overflow with others. This was a pretty important point that I truly plan on focusing on in my own life. It not only is important in work but more importantly with family and friends.
