JAILED: 18 YEARS
...for Man who left the victim in pool of his own blood after brutal attack A man who brutally assaulted another man by punching him and stamping on his head before fleeing the scene and leaving him in a pool of his own blood has been jailed. Brad Spencer inflicted horrific injuries on his victim after an argument turned physical in Stocksbridge, Sheffield, on the morning of 10 January 2023. Spencer then fled the scene and tried to get staff in a nearby shop to call
him a taxi while his victim lay on the floor unconscious with a significant head wound. Spencer, of Pot House Lane, Stocksbridge, was arrested the following day and was subsequently charged with attempted murder. In May 2023, he pleaded guilty to section 18 GBH and on Monday earlier this week (20 November), Spencer was given an 18-year sentence, comprising 13 years in prison. He has also been made subject to a five-year extended licence after a judge deemed him to be a dangerous offender.

"I hope Spencer's sentencing can offer his victim and their family some sort of closure as they attempt to move forward with their lives."
Detective Constable Arron Connolly, investigating, said: "Spencer's attack
