Former Hallam MP appearance cancelled over 'security concerns'
FORMER Sheffield Hallam MP, Sir Nick Clegg, has had a talk at a university cancelled due to security concerns.

As an MP, Clegg presided over parts of north Sheffield such as Bradfield and Worrall during his tenure as MP before losing his seat to young Labour politician Jared O’Mara in 2017.
The former Liberal Democrat leader was due to appear at the University of Sheffield on Thursday October 18.
The event, hosted by Sheffield Young Liberals Society, was to feature a question and answer session the former deputy Prime Minister.
However, Tom McGrath, the society’s chairman, announced on social media that the event had been cancelled. He stated: “Unfortunately, due to security concerns, the event with Nick Clegg has had to be cancelled. We’re sorry to all those who wanted to come along – we’re sure that the event would have been a fantastic one regardless of your political views – but after lengthy discussions with both the Students’ Union and University we had no option but to cancel the event.
