Asda's support boosts Stannington Carnival 2019

Organisers of 2019’s Stannington Carnival met managers at Asda’s Chaucer Road superstore to collect a cheque for £1,000 from the ASDA Foundation.

These funds will support the organisation costs of the annual event, so freeing more of its income on the day for distribution to local good causes.

In 2018, the event raised more than £5,000 which was shared between fifteen organisations who provide access for people from Stannington and beyond to a wide range of sporting, social and cultural activities.

It is hoped that Asda’s generous contribution will help 2019’s total be even greater.
