Over 50 club celebrates 25 Year Anniversary

CHAPELTOWN 50 Plus Club celebrated their 25 th anniversary this month with a bumper meeting at Thomas Newton Chambers Memorial Hall.

The club met for the first time on June 16 1994 and a quarter of a century on, it's still going strong with over 300 paid-up members.

Two of the original members were presented with a beautiful flower arrangement at the special meeting on Monday June 10.

Joyce Draycott and Joan Stapleton were met with fond applause as they collected their gifts, but unfortunately a third original member, Brenda Hickey, was too unwell to attend.
