THE YOUNG MUSICIANS HITTING THE HIGH NOTES
GRACEFUL Harmony are a piano/vocal duet and both students at Ecclesfield Comprehensive school.
Live and went down an absolute storm and they had the chance to meet and play for Tony Hadley.
Pianist Grace Wilkinson, aged 15, and vocalist Hana Edwards, aged 14, are already making waves on the Sheffield music scene and are set to continue in their success.
They are regular musicians at Meadowhall centre and perform the last Wednesday of each month.
Having only been together for only 18 months, they have already played at the Lyceum opening the Children’s Book Awards last year and will be returning to do the same again this year. They are the youngest band to ever play at Wentworth
They have collaborated with The Voice star Lucy Milburn and are currently working with Gogglebox star Umar Siddiqui. A recent festival they played at lead them to be spotted by a well known producer from London so they are currently working to produce new work to send to him.
They have just secured a place to perform at North Nottingham Arena in front of a host of celebrities at a charity ball in November and will be at Castleton for the Christmas lights switch on. They are receiving some amazing feedback and already in demand to perform at various events. They are the founders of the idea ‘Play to Raise’ which encourages buskers to donate a proportion of their tips to charity, a concept they are extremely proud of. These girls are definitely ones to watch!
Appletree Childcare’s 25th birthday APPLETREE Childcare, Grenoside, is celebrating its 25th birthday! To mark the occasion, they are having a party on Friday September 20 at their nursery in the park at 5pm. Manager Janet Parkin said: “Everyone is welcome, please come along for a complimentary drink and have a look around the nursery and see our 25th birthday tree being planted.”

In the past, they have hosted gigs, a spirit medium night and the usual funeral wakes, weddings and birthday celebrations. They have even transformed the space into a unicorn-themed party! The larger room can comfortably seat around 50 and the smaller one around 30.

vourites for customers that struggle to leave their home. These meals are just £5.95 and come in a microwavable container so that they can be heated up the following day. Another popular option has been their addition to the Just Eat website, where customers can order food for delivery. The times at which this service is offered are being extended. Monday to Friday, you can order between 8.30am and 6pm and on Saturdays, Just Eat can be ordered 8.30am to 1pm. The diner itself is open 8.30am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday and 8.30am to 1pm on Saturdays. Why not call into the diner or order off Just Eat and see what you’ve been missing!
