THE St Luke’s Hospice Chapel town shop celebrated its 20th anniversary with tea, cakes…and a get together for the Fab Four. Shop manager Shirley Patterson and volunteers Wendy Bould, Friedel Burke and Dorothy Richardson have all been with the shop since it opened in 1999.
Throughout the celebration day they were joined by other volunteers to offer free tea, coffee and cakes along with an opportunity to browse the rails and purchase some fantastic items. Chapeltown is one of 14 St Luke’s high street shops throughout Sheffield, selling
books, CDs, DVDs, clothes, accessories and much more. St Luke’s also offers an extensive range of items at its eBay and Amazon online shops. To find out more about the St Luke’s shops and where to find them visit www.stlukeshospice.org.uk

School pupils welcomed to school with Liturgy
A NEW class of children were welcomed to St Mary’s Catholic Primary School in High Green this September with a spiritual and heart-warming liturgy.
“Each child was presented with a beautifully illustrated card to represent the start of their new journey of love, faith and growth within St Mary’s School.”
A spokesperson for the school said: “The readings focused on the specialness of each child to God and that we are each made by God. The children and their families were prayed for.
They were formally welcomed into the school community by headteacher Alex Healy and given a rousing round of applause by the rest of the school community.
