High Green church suffers another break-in

DO you know this person who broke into St Mary’s Church, High Green, with his accomplice on Monday morning at 1.15am?

The thieves gained entrance into the church, damaging doors to the church and the church office, before finding the safe and eventually managing to open it.

They took the Sunday collection money, CAFOD charity money, Bishop Ralph’s fund raising walk money, petty and cash and more.

They left the church at 3.15am. This is the fourth time in five years that St Mary’s have suffered break-ins with expensive damage caused on each occasion.

They then sat in the play area of Greengate Lane Park and emptied the church pink gift aid envelopes.

They took the red leather collection bags and may have discarded them around the park area, maybe throwing them into a garden.
