‘GRADUATION’

EARLY MORNING INDUSTRIAL EXPLOSION A loud bang could be heard across the Hillsborough area of Sheffield on Sunday morning.

South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said five engines had been tackling the fire in Clay Wheels Lane, near Middlewood Park, for several hours. It said no-one was "seriously injured in the explosion" but a large cordon was placed around the building. On Saturday, children celebrated ‘Graduating’ from a Nursery Pre School in Chapeltown, ready for school in September. Rachel Stocks Nursery Mazehill Nursery Manager said

“We are so proud of the achievements of the children through some difficult times staying open all through the pandemic, and how they always made us smile. The 4 Graduation ceremonies were attended by over 180 parents and family and friends to cheer their children on, we will miss all of them but sure they will be fantastic in their new schools.”

A cylinder exploded in the building which was the loud bang that has been reported in the area. An investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing Thankfully no one was seriously injured.
