TV STAR PRAISES ‘ACADEMY OF DANGER’ BBC One’s The Really Wild Show presenter Nick Baker has praised Sheffield and Rotherham Wildlife Trust’s new ‘Academy of Danger’ for schools – which has been made possible thanks to players of People’s Postcode Lottery. The well-known TV naturalist, writer and The Wildlife Trusts Vice President helped Year Five pupils from Grenoside Primary in Sheffield tackle the Greno Woods obstacle course - an epic, muddy kilometre packed full of team challenges, including ‘The Bog of Doom’, ‘Electric Wires’ and ‘The Tightrope of Terror’, at the Trust’s Greno Woods nature reserve. “It’s so much more than PE in the woods”, Nick said, dripping with mud and sporting a huge grin. “We can all learn outside - the Academy of Danger proves that. “It is so important to get children connecting with nature on a regular basis. It’s been proven to

have both mental and physical benefits as well as improving confidence and self-awareness.” Nick’s visit was part of a UK-wide tour to showcase a range of innovative approaches being taken to outdoor learning in schools. As part of his visit to Sheffield, Nick also heard from teachers at Oughtibridge, Grenoside and Lound primary schools about how learning outdoors has helped pupils at their schools improve concentration, social skills and learning outcomes. Phil Tuffin, Year Six Leader at Grenoside Primary School, previewed the course for the Trust earlier in 2017: “It really reinforced the school’s core values of resilience, resourcefulness and determination. We wanted the children to have this experience because we know how engaged they become with tasks out in the wild, and we know that they take this positive attitude back to their work in the classroom and attack their

school work with renewed vigour.” Chris Smith, Senior Outdoor Learning Officer at Sheffield and Rotherham Wildlife Trust, and the brains behind the Academy of Danger, said: “It’s great that The Outdoor City can offer all schoolchildren the chance to have a go at a muddy obstacle course race similar to the Mini Mudder or the Spartan Junior Race. “The Academy of Danger helps them learn to take risks, to face challenges that build their resilience and most of all to work as a team. Every time we run the Academy of Danger we see kids stopping to help each other and generally putting someone else first, even though it’s a competitive environment. On top of that, they come out very muddy and buzzing with excitement!” Schools can find out more about the Academy of Danger at wildsheffield.com/schools

Hillsborough thief jailed

Thomas Glaves (on the left) and Anthony Smith (on the right) both face lengthy spells in prison. A HILLSBOROUGH man is one of two thieves to have been sentenced to a total of 10 years in prison for a string of burglary and theft offences committed throughout Derbyshire, Rotherham and Sheffield. Anthony Smith, 32, of Leppings Lane, appeared alongside Rotherham man Thomas Glaves, 24, at Derby Crown Court on Friday October 6, to receive their sentences after pleading guilty to the offences. Glaves and Smith were arrested by officers at the beginning of April, after being spotted in a cloned vehicle they had taken during one of the burglaries. Detective Constable Ryan Griffiths, who lead the investigation, said: “Throughout March and April, Glaves and Smith broke

into five different properties and stole a number of high value cars, a variety of electrical items and work tools. “On Monday March 27, Glaves and Smith broke the locks of two properties in Rotherham to gain entry and search for the keys to cars parked outside. “During these burglaries a Mercedes convertible was stolen from a property on Howlett Drive, and black Audi was stolen from a property on Godric Drive. “Just over a week later, during the early hours of Wednesday April 5, the men then forced their way in to two further properties on Cardwell Drive, Sheffield and stole an Audi and Vauxhall Corsa.

“The cloned licence plates Glaves and Smith had used on the stolen cars were identified by officers during a local patrol and they were arrested. Following their arrests, an investigation was launched into the men and officers began gathering evidence from local enquiries, which linked them to the different offences.”

Parish Council awards to recognise valuable community contributions

AT Thursday’s Ecclesfield Parish council meeting, chair Mike Appleby paid special recognition to those who have gone the extra mile recently in High Green – as part of the Parish Council Chair Awards. Two awards of recognition where given out, one to Ecclesfield’s Cubs and Beavers and one to Janet and David Cooper.

Glaves and Smith were both charged with five counts of burglary and four counts of theft of a motor vehicle. Glaves was also charged with handling stolen goods in connection to the thefts.

The Cubs and Beaver Group responded to a call for assistance from East Ecclesfield Sheffield City Councillor Andy Bainbridge to help pick and clear a large amount of apples in Ecclesfield Park.

DC Griffiths continued: “Burglary is a distressing and intrusive crime and I hope by highlighting this result, we are able to demonstrate our dedication to identify and work to bring offenders before the courts.”

This was in response to a series of concerns raised by local residents that a group of teenagers had been picking apples and throwing them at passing people and nearby properties.

Ecclesfield’s Cubs and Beavers group responded to Andy’s call for assistance and together they got stuck in to get the apples picked. At the presentation of the award Andy Bainbridge had this to say: “I really appreciated the help from Ecclesfield’s Cubs and Beaver groups and wanted all of those involved to get recognised for their hard work. Janet and David Cooper of High Green in Bloom were also recognised by the Parish Chair Awards for their sterling work on gardens in High Green. High Green in Bloom were recently awarded two Gold awards by the judges at Yorkshire in Bloom for their gardening work on Rose Garden in Mortomley Park and High Green’s Methodist Church gardens.

Residents object to proposed cycle path A NUMBER of Deepcar residents on Wortley Road and Manchester Road have objected to a change of plans for a cycle path which passes behind their houses. The removal of trees and loss of privacy are some of the reasons that have been cited in opposition to the plans and 22 people have commented on the planning application page. The plans have been changed from the original proposals, which were welcomed by the vast majority of residents. One resident, Richard Beaumont, said: “The old one everyone accepted but this is not taking any of the residents concerns seriously.” Mr Beaumont is one of the people that has written objecting to the plans. He said: “Having initially had most of my concerns dealt with in terms of the original plans for the cycle track to run within close proximity of my boundary and encroach upon land I have used as a garden for 13 years, I am horrified to learn that the scheme has now been amended to run even closer, taking up almost the entire garden area! “For the last 13 years I have enjoyed peace and quiet and countryside views from my property. When the new housing development

yo To Buy ur da Ch ho y in ris me tm fo as r

was proposed I did not object because the trees and a mature hedge, which I planted, shield my property from this and I was satisfied that my view would not be obstructed or diminished. With the cycle path running so close to my property this will all be gone.

Limited Offer Charlotte Round Dining Table and 4 padded chairs Was £1699 Now £999

“I have a number of key concerns and grounds for objection to the new plans. There could be a considerable reduction in the value of my property and the other properties. My privacy will be significantly infringed upon. There will be destruction of the wildlife habitat such as bats and numerous birds. “Another concern is the noise, including the possibility of off road bikes tearing up and down as they do already go into the woods further down. “Security is also a concern; there is no way at present for anyone to get to the back of my property, the new proposals will enable anyone to easily climb over into my property. These concerns are in addition to litter and dog fouling.” The plans were originally submitted on Friday July 21 this year but were amended on October 6. The public can see related documents and comment by visiting https://planningapps.sheffield.gov.uk/ and searching for reference 17/03102/RG3.

Are you in this picture? A STOCKSBRIDGE based charity, the Steel Valley Project, are asking local people who were involved in a tree planting ceremony 29 years ago to get in touch. The original ceremony which took place on Stocksbridge steel works land back in April 1988 was held to commemorate the launch of the Steel Valley Project, hailed at the time as a major industry improvement scheme. Local school children, along with steelworks senior management and community representatives planted saplings and sowed wild flower meadow seeds to regenerate banking above the steelworks. This year sees 175 years of steelworks in the Stocksbridge valley and as part of

the celebrations, Liberty Steel, Fox Valley shopping, Stocksbridge & District History Society and the Steel Valley project are planning a heritage event to take place on November 2 and 3 in Fox Valley. Steel Valley Project Manager, Tom Newman, said: “As part of the event, we would like to hold a commemorative tree planting ceremony, including as many of the original people as possible.” If you recognise yourself in the photograph or can remember being part of the school trip visiting the steelworks to plant trees, the Steel Valley Project would love to hear from you via email info@ steelvalleyproject.org before Wednesday October 25.

THE Stocksbridge and District Women’s Institute are doing their part to help keep vulnerable people safe. A unique initiative, aimed at keeping hands busy to prevent feet from wandering, is being backed by South Yorkshire Police and South Yorkshire Fire Service to help keep vulnerable people safe. Knitted woollen bands, given the name Twiddle Muffs, are the brainchild of the Sheffield Women’s Institute and have been designed by the group to help people with dementia or Asperger’s. If someone attends hospital for example, A&E staff can give the person a Twiddle Muff, with the hope that it can help to keep them relaxed and give them something to occupy their time with. They will hopefully be less likely to leave hospital then, before being seen by a doctor. Since introducing them to local A&E departments, the Stocksbridge based group have made hundreds of Twiddle Muffs, and are now looking to make them available for use by the Sheffield Neighbourhood Areas and the Sheffield based LIFE team, made up of staff from South Yorkshire Police and South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue. The knitted woollen bands can also have various items attached to them, such as buttons, keys, zips and ribbons, to keep the person occupied and less likely to wander. Project Officer Andy Foster, said: “Our aim is to protect vulnerable adults and these interesting, com-

TV STAR COMING TO £365 in vouchers to be won THE VENUE Joining Jack on the night will be co-headliner Mundo Jazz, described as ‘brilliant character comedy worthy of Steve Coogan or Peter Kay’ by BBC online wowed the crowds at Glastonbury this year with his guitar-based wit. The man is pure comedic gold, like a live, Latino, Spinal Tap, widely regarded as one of Panama’s national treasures and a unique voice in the oft-ignored genre of Afro-Latin Rock.

JACK Carroll, the award winning TV endorsed comedian appears in a Double Headliner comedy special at The Venue, Stocksbridge on Saturday October 21.

There is a full supporting line up of acts including Daniel Triscott and Dawn Rigby. The night is compered and promoted by the award winning comedian Anthony J. Brown through his Stagefright Comedy company. Anthony said ‘the July show with Paul Sinha was a sell out so it was a no brainer to return to Stocksbridge with another great line up. There are also dates booked in for 2018 featuring Gary Delaney and Justin Moorhouse respectively, so comedy is very much here to stay in the area’. The show starts at 8pm.

Jack became an overnight stand-up sensation after reaching the final of Britain’s Got Talent in 2013. His first audition on the ITV show has received over 20 million views on YouTube so far. He eventually came second on the show at just 14 years old and has since worked with the likes of Jason Manford and Vic Reeves, while also performing stand- Tickets are £10 and are available in advance from up on shows such as ITV1’s Sunday Night At The The Venue or online via paypal.me/stagefrightcomedy. Scout and Guide group seek to improve building GRENOSIDE Scout and Guide Group are unique in the area in that we have both 131st Sheffield (Grenoside) Guides and 14th Sheffield (Grenoside) Scouts meeting in our jointly owned building. Scouting in Grenoside started in 1910 and Guiding in 1930. The idea of joining forces was first proposed in 1944. Their first joint HQ was opened on our current site of Salt Box Lane in September 1948. Many will remember the original hut which remained on the site until the 1980s. The current building was opened in 1996. It is used every weeknight by the groups and is also home to a local art group, Explorer Scout Group and is regularly used for parties and functions. With so many groups using the building they have outgrown it and have recently been granted planning permission to extend. The group are also aiming to develop the outside grounds with

input and ideas from the children which include a campfire circle and wildlife area. To make these plans become reality they need to raise a huge amount of money. The exact figure isn’t clear yet but they are inviting any local builders to get in touch to submit quotes. They are having a very busy few weeks of fundraising starting with an Oktoberfest Party on October 21. Their biggest yearly event, which is usually a sell out, is the Bonfire and Firework display on November 4 at 6.30pm – tickets are £5 (under 5s FOC) available at http://buytickets.at/grenosidescoutandguidegroups. There will then be a table top sale on November 18 at 10.30am and Christmas Fair on November 25 at 10.30am. Everyone is welcome. The group are always looking for new volunteers to help, either at one of our groups or with fundraising. If you can help in any way email grenosandg@gmail.com.

FRILLIES, a lingerie, nightwear and swimwear shop based in Penistone, is celebrating its first year in business in October and there’s £365 in boutique vouchers to be won! “It’s been an excellent first year for Frillies, and the boutique has been really well received in Penistone and the surrounding areas”, said Rebecca Barnett, the boutique owner. “As part of our celebrations, we’re holding a prize draw which is open for entries throughout the month of October,” she continued.

It’s a very simple competition. All you have to do is call in to the boutique up to and including October 31 and enter the prize draw to win one of 20 prizes.

a finalist in the Stars: Underlines Best Shop Awards 2017.

The first prize is £100 in Frillies vouchers, with two £50 vouchers and then various denominations to be won after that.

Labelled the Oscars of the lingerie world, there are 12 categories in total for best shop, store and e-store which will be presented at a gala evening held in the Underglobe at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre.

Rebecca is not only celebrating her first successful year in business in October but she has even more reason to be feeling on top of the world as she has recently found out that out of 500 nominations across the country she is

“I’m a little dumbfounded that my little boutique has made it to the finals”, she said, “but I am feeling extremely shocked and more than a little giddy. It was a surprise to be nominated and totally amazed to make the finals.”

Meet the archive at special event ECCLESFIELD Parish Council’s Past & Present Archiving Project event ‘Meet the Archive’ is taking place on Thursday October 26 at the Parish Council Offices, Mortomley Lane, High Green. They are organising the event to promote the collection of local history material which has been developing further over the past few months. There are new opportunities for getting involved with the archive and our event will be a chance for people to find out more. You don’t have to be a history expert or have lived all your life in the area to take part. Young or old, everyone can contribute. The aim of the project is to capture the rich and varied local history from across the parish. One of the things they are keen to do is to put more names to faces for some of the photographs that have been donated to the archive. Furness Coaches’ Day Trip to the Wedgewood Factory, Barlaston – does anyone recognise any faces?

A spokesperson said: “We’re sure that there will be people from the local area who will

be able to recognise them. This photograph, of a day trip by Furness’ coaches to the Wedgewood Factory, is one example.” It is a free drop-in event and everyone is welcome. The ‘Meet the Archive’ event starts at 3pm and finishes at 7pm. There will be a small exhibition with samples of the archiving material that have been collected including photos, maps, pamphlets, objects and brochures. There will also be an opportunity to see some of the slide shows, go onto the website to view the images there, and look at the collection of local history books and reference material. For more details of other events or to find out more, please contact, Christine, at the Parish Council Offices, Mortomley Lane, High Green, Sheffield S35 3HS; telephone: 0114 2845095; email:Chr istine.handle y@ ecclesfield-pc.gov.uk or see our facebook page Ecclesfield Civil Parish Past and Present Archiving Project for more information.

It’s not too late to make a will... Hello, I’m Jane Bowland, your local consultant of 10 years experience. We are experts in helping people arrange their wills, trusts and lasting powers of attorney. I specialise in helping all kinds of people gain peace of mind by providing professional estate planning services, but with a personal touch. I offer a FREE consultation without obligation for anybody who would like to know more about any of the following:

SYMPATHY AND FUNERAL FLOWERS

Beautifully created floral tributes, traditional, contemporary or bespoke arrangements available. Designed and delivered with care.

• Making a basic will • Setting up lasting powers of attorney • Protecting your home from care fees • Pre–paid funeral plans Having a Will in place ensures your assets go to who you choose. It makes the whole process much easier for the people you leave behind and it puts in black and white exactly what you want to happen, avoiding any misunderstanding or arguing. Setting up a Lasting Power of Attorney gives the people that YOU choose the legal right to look after your financial and personal affairs if you become unable to do so. Without one in place, your spouse, partner or family members are NOT automatically able

Please call for further details or call in store and view our portfolio.

to take over. Make sure you avoid the distress this can cause you and your loved ones. I know that planning for the future is a very personal matter. Not everyone is able or wants to travel to an appointment in town to sort out their affairs. I can visit you at a convenient time in the comfort and privacy of your own home to discuss your circumstances. My visit and consultation is completely free and you are under no obligation

to do anything. If you decide to make any arrangements you can be safe in the knowledge that all my professional services and work are fully insured and Collective Legal Solutions are members of the Society of Will Writers, so all my clients are assured of being fully protected at all times. All my clients (and their families) that I have helped in the past have been very happy with my services and tell me they have gained great peace of mind knowing that they have sorted everything out.

Jane came to see my parents to help them protect the family home from any future care fees. She really made us all feel at ease, especially my parents. We had no idea what we could do to protect Mum and Dad. Having set up trusts and Lasting Power of Attorney’s, Mum and Dad can get on with their lives without worrying, knowing everything is now in place. Thank you Jane!

In your time of need THE best possible service at the best possible price - that’s the pledge From I Did It My Way. I Did It My Way based at the Niagara, Sheffield 6, continue to pride themselves on keeping their costs low, and they are constantly striving to provide the best service, at a price people can afford. A funeral can be conducted with dignity, respect and love without having to spend a fortune, and their funerals are testament to this. Their straight-to-crematorium service currently stands at £1,760 and can be attended by close family members. There is no service but this allows mourners to say goodbye in a way that best suits them. This service will also be booked at the family’s convenience. Just because there is no service does not mean that the family’s wishes should not be honoured at a time which best suits them. I Did It My Way’s basic service is priced from £2,250 (cremation only), with no other costs to pay.

A colourful coffin depicting the client’s life, or something special about them, with the hearse and a limousine, is fully-inclusive from £3,000 (cremation only). The price remains the same for a wicker coffin, which also prove to be very popular. The pre-payment business is increasing daily; an increasing number of people are planning ahead as death and dying are no longer regarded as taboo. Peace of mind for families at such a difficult time appears to be made much easier when their loved one has planned ahead. There are no worries with a prepaid funeral, and the price quoted now is what you will pay, regardless of the date it is needed. Steve and the team pride themselves on the level of service they offer, they believe in acting in their clients’ best interests at all times. For enquiries please phone 0114 327 4936.

High Green has an election on November 9, the ward of High Green being one of six wards in the Parish of Ecclesfield.

Come and join our writer’s group. Come and meet new friends. If you’re keen on writing.

The reality is that First can take all the credit for substantially resolving the issues, and it was their recommended changes to SYPTE that were swiftly implemented. To state that “Ecclesfield Parish Councillors have secured a host of new measures from SYPTE to provide services for the Parish to Notre Dame High School” is utterly misleading.

Our writers group’s alright.

I’ve no doubt that Cllrs Sykes and Weatherall contacted SYPTE to raise their concerns after the Parish Council meeting.

It’s in the Stocksbridge Library, It’s comfortable and warm. Before you go back home. Every fortnight, 12pm to 2pm on Tuesdays. For more information ring Margaret on 0114 2882838.

School bus provision With reference to your article “Councillors negotiate new school bus services with SYPTE” in Look Local 977, I am staggered that Cllrs Weatherall and Sykes are taking all the credit for these changes that were recommended by First and not SYPTE.

BASIC PACKAGE

First reviewed the operation in North Sheffield with the buses to Notre Dame very quickly after the start of the school year, including having a representative on the buses to identify the issues. They met with Notre Dame School and the affected parents and produced a revised plan on Wednesday, September 13 in a letter to all parents for implementation from Monday, September 25. In addition, they appointed a Schools Liaison Officer to work with schools and parents to resolve issues and concerns.

BASIC PACKAGE PLUS ONE LIMOUSINE CREMATION ONLY & NO DISBURSEMENTS

“I Did It My Way” encourages our clients, not to mourn a death, but celebrate a wonderful and varied life. We provide basic funerals from £2250, with no extra charges to pay. We provide traditional coffins & caskets, wicker coffins and environmentally friendly cardboard & colourful coffins which can be beautifully decorated and personalised.

That could well be the case following the Manchester conference and the disastrous leaders speech which turned out to be a complete car crash from Theresa May. Her coughing fit halfway through, followed by some letters falling off the backdrop behind her and the prankster who leaned to the stage at one point to hand her a P45 was like a script from Fawlty Towers and will haunt her for many a year to come. Addd to all of this, is the coup by plotter Grant Shapps and others to get rid of her before something else strikes. Whilst our Prime Minister tries to keep her calm supported by Tory grandees, the fact of the matter is that Mrs May is living on borrowed time and there is no obvious replacement to take her place.

I asked a public question about this issue at the Ecclesfield Parish Council meeting on Thursday, September 7 supported by around 30 parents, and a letter went to Sheffield City Council and SYPTE from Ecclesfield Parish Council on September 13.

She has only herself to blame for the mess that she and her party are in, prior to the General Election that she called in June the Tories had a small working majority. They completely misjudged the mood of the electorate and were then left with having to do a compromise with the DUP party in There was an email response to this from Cllr Northern Ireland in order to prop them up. Got something to say?

I and the team of volunteers I belong to, have decided that I will stand in this election. Quite simply we believe that, until we in High Green have representation from High Green who are willing and able to fight High Green’s corner, High Green will continue to be neglected and ignored by those that make the decisions. We in High Green need a voice at the table from our ranks.

We have a chat and a cup of tea.

PENISTONE Footpath Runners sent three teams to the British Fell Relay Championship held at Llanberis on October 15.

The huge event, featuring 1,200 runners from across the country, included four legs totalling around 30 miles and over 10,000 ft of climbing. Each leg included long brutal climbs, precipitous descents and navigation challenges, and finished with a rocky muddy descent into a disused slate quarry. The senior men’s team completed the course in 6:00.23, the vet men’s team in 7:13.29 and the Ladies’ LV40 team in 7:24.35.

Referee Mr Howard and Stocksbridge will probably count this as a bad day at the office.

TWENTY-EIGHT players competed for the Alf Peace Trophy at Stocksbridge Golf Club on Saturday October 7. Only five points covered the top seven pairs. Steve Cain and Andrew Finney were third on 43 points. Runners up were Mark Huckerby and David Peace on 44 points. The winners on a great score of 45 points was the pairing of James Walton and Mick Hulbert. A decent turnout on Sunday played for the Pro’s prize Stableford competition. Again a close run thing with the top seven players separated by only five points. In third place was Chris Walker on 37 points. Second came James Walton with 38 points and first place went to Lee Hydes with a great score of 40 points

our attacking quality and great to hear that Jordan Barnett secured a one-year full time contract with Burnley FC.

Brett Lovell got Church off to the perfect start with the big centre half scoring twice in the opening 13 minutes. Andy Ring scored Church’s other goal.

“In terms of the game, we started on the front foot, deservedly went ahead, conceded a really poor goal but continued to be aggressive in our play and went in 3-1 up at the break.

Manager Ian Richards said after the game: “It was an excellent day today. A performance that got the result it deserved, a score line that matched

Second half we started brilliantly and scored two excellent goals from Kieran Ryan who was out-

standing today. The game dropped for a 15 or 20 minute spell but we then rounded off a great win and a deserved hat trick for Kieran with a great move, cross by Jordan Corduri and header from Kieran. We must celebrate today but more importantly build on the win on Wednesday away at Bottesford. Thank you for everyone’s support; the highest attendance in NCEL this weekend.”

A very closely contested Ladies Medal Final took place on Sunday with Margaret Pearson in 3rd place on nett 75. Second place went to Lianna O’ Sullivan on nett 73. The winner of the Medal Final was Lady Captain Kath Busfield with a nett score of 72. The Master Dragon Summer Cup was played for by a small group of players, mainly because of the weather. The winner of the of the trophy was Noel Weaver on nett 64 (one under par) in second place was Mick Siddall and third was Charlie Dale. The Midweek Stableford Division One first prize went to Trevor Newton and Division Two was won by Ian Batty. With the summer season drawing to a close most of the club knockout competitions have been completed. The winners of both Ladies and Gents competitions will be published next week.

PENISTONE Church youngster Jordan Barnett has won a one-year contract with Premier League outfit Burnley.

PREMIER LEAGUE MOVE FOR CHURCH STAR

The news is absolutely brilliant for Barnett and Penistone, whose youth set-up gains great recognition from the move.

Mark Ryan, Sport Programme Manager at the college, added: “Jordan has worked really hard to develop as a footballer during his time here, working with the coaching team at Barnsley Sports Academy and Penistone Church.

“He’s a young man that absolutely loves football and has done well in the classroom. Jordan has a real opportunity to progress within football and we wish him all the very best.”

Barnett has played a number of times for Ian Richards in the NCEL after coming through their under 19s. Barnett has spent some time on trial with the Clarets. The left back secured the contract after impressing coaches in an intensive two-week trial at the Lancashire club. The 17-year-old defender was picked up by Burnley scouts after becoming a regular starter for Barnsley Sports Academy’s male football team and Penistone Church Football Club. Jordan of Penistone said: “It’s everything that I ever wanted since I started playing football. I’m buzzing to sign my first professional contract and hopefully there is many more to come. “The support I have received from the Sports Academy has really helped me to pursue my goals in football and the coaching staff are knowledgeable about the sport.”
