The climbing centre sits betweeen boatyard and Exe river. The structure extending into the sky is trying to make an annocement to passers-bys.

This phenomenon of dynamic and identity generally disppeared from the river to the residential area. The exposure natural topography strengthens the gap. The lock gate seperates the Exe river and boatyard. The water becomes more controlled. It produces space for inhabitants and long-term water sports education.

Public engagement: The cooperative workshop invites public to engage with renewable process to knowledge public with cooperative gallery. Appropriate other functions with a variety of activities, such as outdoor cinema and guest lectures. The production and shaping of space to allow economic and social relations happen, designed for transit and temporary occupation. The concept behind this is to make space available to people and their ideas that would be accessible as well.

The proposal develops from master plan taking into account the social, environmental, economic, historical characteristics of the site. Reinstating the community’s connection to the quay. The projects are inter-linked with the intention to strengthen the synergies between the community and the site context.

However, the underneath walkway and bridge allow exchange knowledge to happen.
