They will pay you when you close the deal and give their employees no benefits. This type of firm usually stays in business for only a year or two. Search firms run like a business This type of firm has been around a long time and have gone through difficult times hiring headhunters who had no training or knowledge on how to be a headhunter. This firm will offer complete benefits, training as to how their company works and expects the headhunters to work, job security, and good commission plan. All of these are signs that the firm will be around a long time. Before you sign to work with a firm, check to see how long they have been in business. This will help you know if they are fly-by-night firm or one that will be there a long time. You should also ask about commissions and benefits.
