Dear Customer,
We are all hoping a new venue for 2025 brings just as much love and passion to our annual portfolio tasting as in previous years. This event keeps growing every year, and since its inception in 2010, we have had to move venues 4 times to cope with the capacity. The Drill are a great customer of ours already and have been very accommodating in helping us move this event down the hill. I am sure today is going to be our biggest and best yet, so please enjoy yourselves and take advantage of the amazing range of products that are in the room being showcased.
Some things do not change though and we are proud to ensure the two Masterclasses stay as part of the day for a long time. This opportunity to dive deeper in to the history, stories, people and products of both Chateau d’Esclans and Gosset Champagne & Cognac Frapin, is not to be missed. You are in for a treat if you have pre-booked these presentations.
It is always a relief when the first person walks through the door on days like these. We never take it for granted and work tirelessly to make sure the event works for you when you get here. Thank you so much for making the effort, we simply have no business without our customers, and we are always very proud to see so many of you enjoying yourself at these type of events.
To our amazing suppliers too, thank you for all your hard work over the year, but particularly for your efforts today. You are part of the unbreakable triangle between us, our customers and yourselves and we strive to give you maximum return on your support for days like these.
I must give thanks to all my team at Small Beer. Those that are hard at work at head office keeping the ship afloat whilst we are here. Also to my sales team that have worked well to get everyone here today and help with the set up. Mostly though this is the baby of Dan Gadsby, my Wine and Spirit Buyer. Thank you Dan for living and breathing this event once more – it is a credit to you.

It’s always a challenge to limit our suppliers to just 40 so that they all fit in the room, so we have selected the 40 that we think are the best and will add the most value to your business. Some of the suppliers have travelled internationally, so please do seek out the range of Bordeaux from Horeau-Beylot, the range of Languedoc wines from Domaine Coudoulet and the fabulous wines from Lawson’s Dry Hills all the way from Marlborough in New Zealand.
