Color is without a doubt one of the first characteristics the consumer will recognize. Along with form, color will either attract or repel the consumer’s attention. However, color by itself is a tricky situation, so in order to go past that issue, thinking in color combinations can make it easier to address.

For this purpose I created several color palettes consisting of three colors for the main shape, the plug details and the possible background.

The final color palette was black and yellow. Black is authoritative and powerful color and it can be both inconspicuos and elegant. This is why I chose it as the main color, as well as it can be less invasive when put in a house environment. The color yellow was chosen in order to give a a bright detail to the plugs, and allowing for easier recognition..
