Loretto Community Annual Report 2012 Celebrating Jubilee — in Good Company

Let the trumpet sound to announce the year. Let it tell God's people that their time is here. Like a living stream, let mercy flow. Like a mountain high, let justice grow. Let the reign of God from sea to sea set captives free. Cry "Jubilee!"

ommunity Groups were designed to enable us to strengthen the bonds of community and to contribute on issues of government and mission. Community Groups met in spring and fall. During 2012 there were 19 Community Groups. This year topics included preparation for Assembly 2012, a Community Group assessment, models of alternate forms of governance, possible permanent commitment for co-members, information about our Pakistan mission, introduction of on-going discussion of rescission of Papal Bulls regarding indigenous peoples, discussion on our Shared Futures, the personal impact of the institutional church, and the opportunity to imagine Loretto Community’s new future.
